I just want to say if you want professionals go to Caldwell Appliance- Ethan and Charlie were our…read moresales people and Zach and Kyle were our installers... excellent, knew what they were doing, professional... we first went to Lowe's- they could care less would rather talk to each other than wait on a buying customer... we left Lowe's walked in to Caldwell, told Ethan what we wanted was in and out within 15 minutes, went back the next day, and purchased two more appliances and worked with Charlie... same thing we were in and out within 15 minutes... Monday the installers came, very respectful, professional, and we can't Thank Caldwell Appliance enough... for hiring the best... We will definitely be back for the refrigerator ... Thank You, Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! We love our stove, microwave and dishwasher!!!!

I was told 'were giving you $250 for the problem" $250 is what I paid to have each appliance installed. so basically, they didn't think my aggravation, irritation and their irresponsibility is worth nothing. I highly recommend going elsewhere. their reputation was built years ago. they arent measuring up now thats for certain.

I typically avoid Best Buy in Hickory, but my experience today was GREAT!…read more I knowingly purchased a used item that was listed in Very Good condition. When I got it home it was totally NOT usable. So, back in the box, back to Best Buy. I was preparing myself to be a little nasty if needed to get my money back. Victoria not only did NOT give me a hassle to return the item, but she also looked on her computer and offered to have a NEW item shipped direct to my home for no additional charge. I was so surprised it took me a few seconds to accept her offer. Totally because of her I actually went back home and ordered more merchandise from Best Buy to be shipped to my home. Thank you, Victoria, for delighting this customer!

PSA: First off I would give negative stars if I could. DO NOT GO HERE(there are multiple other…read moreplaces completely capable & will not try to steal money from you in the hickory location)-- I recommend union square computers-- My husband brought my laptop that I purchased less than a year ago from this Best Buy to the geek squad location in hickory nc where I was told it would cost 100$ for a diagnostic test that they would have to perform in the back as they don't have the ability to do in front of house and that they would have to keep my computer over night. I was told that this was likely a software issue AS WELL AS a hardware issue when he looked at my computer screen, but there was no way it could be determined until a diagnostic test was performed. After looking laptop up and finding out it was still under warranty, my husband asked what that would cover. He was told that HP would cover hardware damage only. When asked if we could just send the computer in to HP to diagnose since he couldn't say which issue it was in order to save money as this laptop was only 500$, my husband was told that it was DEFINITELY a software issue that HP wouldn't cover that he knew this for certain and they needed to keep it to diagnose. After questioning how he knew that after being told originally he couldn't tell me what it was bc it had to be diagnosed first, the tech responded that by looking at it he could just tell it was not just hardware and HP wouldn't cover it. We decided to take it elsewhere to the place I recommended where they actually did a diagnostic test for free that showed it was in fact a hardware issue that HP would cover bc it was still under warranty. They also explained how to contact HP to send it off. it was a hardware issue HP IS COVERING FOR FREE with warranty. Needless to say the computer tech at geek squad is incompetent and only there to take your money. They also try to sell you a BS warranty that's 250$ that they say covers all devices WHICH DOES NOT COVER ALL DEVICES bc they get a bonus for selling. I will not be returning and you should never take any device here as they clearly hire incompetent greedy individuals. Kindness goes a long way, maybe attempt that next time a customer walks in.

We saw one chair we liked. It would fit our needs, was the acceptable color, material and size...a la my wife's seeking standards. Did we buy it? Of course not. Hickory is loaded with furniture outlets, so off we went a exploring. A couple of more locations and them the big kaboom: the Hickory Furniture Mart. Another review coming on this enormous, four level block-filling edifice containing just about any manufacturer and style of furniture one could imagine. We did not find anything that was better than the one at The Hickory Tree, so after some coffee and lunch at the Olde Hickory Station (see that review), we returned to the Hickory Tree. Since this was a consignment store, all items had a sales price tag with the prices listed over time. What I mean is that a price of $175 was scheduled to cost $150 on the first of the next month, then it would cost $135 the next month, and so on. This being the middle of the month, and not wanting to risk the desire chair being sold while we waited, we bought it...right then. They accepted credit cards. With the help of a young man we loaded this chair into our SUV and were off for home. An excellent, but exhausting furniture shopping experience that I survived. Before you blow your mind out looking for furniture all over, start here at the Hickory Tree. Prices reasonable and mark-downs abound. And nice people.
