What a terrible place, over priced for what you get, drinks have no alchohal, ordered the nachos add pork and there was maybe 1 ounce of pork. Not much for an extra 4 dollars. Everytime I drive by this location I want to stop and check it out. It looks so beautiful from the outside. I'm sad to say we didn't have a great experience here and after reading many of the reviews, I don't feel it was a one off situation. Like many of the other reviews, it took way to long to get our orders. I tried to cut some slack as we were a larger group, but we ordered appetizers as soon as we saw our waitress, and then finally got a drink order in about 10 minutes later. Sadly, the drinks made it out before our apps, and it wasn't even close. I was almost done with my first $13 mug of beer before they finally made it out. But the worst part is that this place is so trendy they have to jump on some "bandwagon" as Nicollete (our server) called it, and decided to remove all straws from the premises. Said they were trying to save sea turtles? I'm confused because Denver is no where near a sea and the only turtles I even see in this state is when I visit the local zoo's. I didn't realize we had a sea turtle epidemic here. So they don't offer the paper straws or any alternative at all. However, they will happily server your drinks in glasses with previous customers lipstick on it. Um, this is the exact reason that people ask for straws...if you aren't going to provide any, then you need to clean your glasses better for sure. Unfortunately we pointed out the grossly humorous situation prior to snapping any photos as I surely wish we had one to post here. The timing of the lipstick tainted glass being dropped off as we discussed the sea turtle straw issue was just too serendipitous. Go for the view but nothing else. And whatever you do, don't go there hungry or thirsty as it will be a torturous experience. read more

Food is bad and service is just as bad. Got my order wrong, as in brought me the wrong thing. And took FOREVER to replace it.... literally so long that we left WITHOUT it and I didn't eat anything..... and when they refilled my bf drink.. they brought him a glass that had lipstick on it. He didn't like his breakfast burrito. No... just no. Don't come here if you are wanting a nice place to dine or even a mediocre place. We ate there with friends on 10/25, and it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. The place was noisy and dark - we could barely talk or read the menu. Our waitress forgot that our friend ordered a beer, and she had to ask again for it. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and we noticed that we didn't have any silverware. The food server said he would bring some, but we never saw him again. I could eat the fries with my hands and they were lukewarm. Our waitress came by and we told her we needed silverware and she disappeared. Finally we walked over to another table and got some silverware ourselves, by then our food was ice cold but we were hungry so we started to eat it. We ordered Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin, Hot Seared Salmon, Bacon Cheddar Burger, and Roasted Brisket. It all sounded so good on the menu, but wasn't good cold. When our waitress finally came by with the silverware we were about half done. We told her the food was cold, and she offered to send out new plates. That didn't sound good at that point. Her manager came by and took 17% off the bill. So we ended up paying around $100 for cold food and very poor service for 4 people. What a disappointment! Great view but the food is overpriced and tastes well below average. What my husband and I ordered was very very bland. The service wasn't much better. They made me the wrong dish first and took a long time to make me the correct dish. And if you sit upstairs, the servers have to run downstairs to he kitchen for anything. Wow if you sit outside you are okay - the smell upstairs is a sewer. Told the manager twice and she did not even care - I lost my hunger smelling that for an hour - should have left - waitress never listened and she was hungover from partying too much - the View House needs to train staff to be more courteous and listen to what guest need the basics salt pepper etc - takes to long to get a drink as the staff is more focused on talking to one another vs taking care of Guest with the smell and rude service I am not going back for a while - Management needs to wake up and take care of guest - Tom Kelly read more

This place really needs some help. The service was absolutely unbelievable not to mention how HORRIBLE the drinks are. Out of 5 drinks ordered, 4 were absolutely undrinkable. I even said how horrendous they were, and it takes a lot for me to not drink a drink, but it was honestly maybe some grenadine and sprite mixed with some half assed flavoring. No one did anything about it, and we watched an entire banquet room of people get angry and walk out, we were actually jealous they left and regret not following them. Two orders came out in 10 minutes, another 30 minutes later one more, two more another 15, and the final order after that. Two orders were also wrong and never fixed. Not to mention it took over 30 minutes to get the god awful drinks. It was a truly horrible, awkward experience. We were so excited to try this place and ended up leaving completely dissapointed and angry. read more

The night was going great. Great food (nachos are huge), great service...... and then they changed the fights from the tv right in front of us to the game. Few are watching the game including the lady that keeps refusing to change the tv back to the fights which have been on that tv since 6. There aren't many things that get me upset but when you make it harder for me to see my ufc I become unhappy. Even after technical difficulties put the tv's back how they were to begin with. We made reservations days ahead for a large group. We specifically booked a large seating area with the "view" on the top floor. Got there - our seating area had been given to another group. Our group was crammed into a couple of tables spread out behind the bar. The hostess could have cared less about the issue, didn't bother to get the manager despite repeated requests. When you make reservations to bring a large group, and plan to spend quite a bit of money at a restaurant, you'd think they would care more about their customers. Not really. The food was meh - passable bar food. I can't recommend this location for any large groups. And I found it rather hilarious that they charge $4 for valet parking in their own restaurant parking lot. Nice idea but poorly executed. Very confusing as to what you do when you first come in, no host/hostess to tell you where to go. Waitress was pleasant and attentive but offered little guidance on the overwhelming menu. Roasted chicken was bland and flavorless and way overpriced. My drink (peach spiked iced tea) was okay. We were there late on a weeknight but tried to order a dessert after 10:30 (10:35 to be precise) and were told the kitchen was now closed (yet we weren't warned ahead of time - silly us, assuming we could still get food since they are open until 12 midnight). View at night is of... I-25. I suspect the view is better during the day. The ambience is loud and over stimulating. I wanted to like this place but have to say I will not plan to go back. read more

I experienced a good first date with VH at the holidays when the food and service were great. I was eager to return in summer when we could experience the upstairs and enjoy the view along with the food. That chance came tonight and our attentive server did a great job keeping us happy. My husband and I had chicken tenders, ahi tuna, kale salad, asparagus, hot dog, side salad and beer for me and scotch for him. Chicken tenders were great, ahi tuna pretty good, kale salad a bit bland, delicious hot dog and asparagus. The reason I can't give VH more stars is because dessert and handling of it was less than fast food would deliver. I ordered the $8 chocolate cookie skillet and received a tiny ice cream sandwich in a bowl. I questioned the bus boy when he dropped it off and he said it was my correct order. We waited for our server to come by to ask him and he said it was not correct and he would get the correct dessert. It took so long to get the wrong dessert so by the time I finally got the correct skillet cookie, I was eager to get moving and going. Problem was, after my 2nd bite, I noticed a large wrapper within the ice cream scoop on top of the cookie. It was probably 3" x 2" crumpled up and the kitchen staff didn't notice as they scooped it up? We let the waiter see it and he was upset at the situation and took off with it. Someone who I can only assume was the general manager came by but didn't introduce himself but simply said, "I understand there was a mix up at your table tonight". We said "yes, did you see it?" He just said, "Yes, I'm really sorry but I just yelled at him and we'll get you another one". He was so brief and in the end, it just seems he should have comped something in our meal. We didn't have time to wait for another cookie and while we appreciate they'd have given us another cookie and not charge us, it actually seemed more appropriate for them to comp one of the 3 drinks or a free dessert next time but we left having paid the full bill and the memory of trash in our food. VH can try harder to earn repeat business and would be smart to remember that final impressions make/break a review and whether someone feels like returning again. I just can't get the wrapper in my dessert out of my mind! read more

So I keep trying this place out hoping that with time it'll get better. The first time it was just awful service. The second time was for work lunch, terrible service and spoiled fish - it tasty so foul and even the server said it smelled funny and the ketchup was 2 years past expiration (on the bottle) and had that dark brown look. She apologized, but I still paid for the meal as it was. Third time, co-worker had raw chicken tenders so they were sent back and brought new ones, had to be sent back another time, finally they were okay the last time. This last time I went, co-worker ordered grilled cheese. The bread had mold on the edges, not just a little either, like full on green dusting. I'm just not going back anymore, there are so many better places out there with good outdoor seating. read more

I come here for business lunches all the time; it's such a great atmosphere, never too crowded but still a vibrant scene & the best views in all of Denver for a restaurant. Hopefully the managers/owners follow this thread. I don't post often but I wanted to give a shoutout to our waiter Josh. We had at one time 15 ish people and Josh was on top of it. This was a Saturday night with ufc going on. He was always around asking for drink updates and bringing water etc. The food and all that was fine but for me when I found a good waiter/waitress that trumps everything else. read more

One hour to get my 1st drink. No parking. If you park somewhere else YOU WILL get towed. But you dont have any other options because valet parking gets full. The place is nice and new but there wasnt enough planning and coordination when this place was built to accommodate the massive amounts of people this place can serve... but the only problem is that you cant get served. If you want to get drinks and enjoy yourself, you better order 6 drinks off the bat. The upstairs bathrrom was closed... so now you have huge lines at the only available bathroom downstairs. Oh, and they have Moscow Mules on the menu, but they dont have enough COPPER cups in stock, so you get you mule in a glass. I'll never come here again. This place SUX the big one. read more

This is by far the worst place for customer service and food. I have witnessed this place since it opened from high drink prices to terrible food and menu choices. The staff tends to ignore your needs and often forget about the one customer. No acknowledgement, interaction or just a smile. I always like to check the Yelp ratings before I visit a new spot. Why oh why didn't I take the yelpers advice on Viewhouse? This place is laughable! We had the brunch buffet which is roughly $30 per person. Seems like an OK price until you taste the food and experience the awful service. Portions of the brunch buffet reminded me of a "free continental breakfast" from your off-the-highway motel. Hard bagels, cold eggs and bacon, cheap out of the box desserts, seafood that smells/tastes as if it has been in the fridge for a few weeks and they charge you an extra $3 for a coffee when you just paid $30 for the mediocre buffet! The straw that broke the camels back for us though, we were literally pressured to hurry up and finish due to our table having a "reservation" for football games. Really?!? Rude, expensive, poor service which likely means poor upper management. You know those moments after you have had too much to drink the night before and you say to yourself "I am never drinking again"...that is usually not the case. But we will NEVER be Viewhousing again, and we mean it! read more

Ventured here for a happy hour even though I was warned of this spot being overpriced. It was about 100 degrees in the 1st floor bar and 115 in the 2nd floor bar - both indoors. Not certain if the air conditioner was broken, but I was told by others this is typical unless it's freezing.. it made the 75 degree outdoor weather seemed way cooler. It took a while for a bartender to ask for my order even though it was slow. The cocktails were drab regardless of the description - no "garnishments" were present. The appetizer chicken tenders include 3 small pieces for about $14 with tax and without any flavor at all. I had gotten these to go otherwise I would have sent them back. I will not be returning to this spot, and it's sad that it always seems packed. People are obviously willing to endure poor customer service, an icky atmosphere and tasteless food for a view that actually is difficult to get a photo of unless you're OK with street lights, a parking lot and a highway in your backdrop. read more

Rating off the day time atmosphere and the fun in the sun. I really enjoy getting out on the lawn and throwing bags with friends. They have a wide variety of beers to choose from and bartenders are pretty knowledgeable. The food is mediocre at best but I'll need to try their Sunday brunch as I heard it's the bees knees. read more

Our waiter Jason made our experience outstanding without his exceptional customer service skills we wouldn't come back. There was a misunderstanding between the party we were with and some of the other servers but Jason made sure we left happy. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which was awesome and the nachos which are good at first but got soggy quickly. Mile high salad was disappointing. What an amazing experience! 22 of my associates and I came in after a team building outing and were seriously WOW'd by our server Brittany. She was prompt and efficient throughout the whole night. Its a good restaurant, bar and hang out spot. Good food, great patio area. Perfect for summer nights! My only complaint is that it is often VERY busy, so it can get loud and crowded, but that does show it is doing a good job. But it can cause delays in service or other annoyances that happen when a place is too busy for its employees to handle. read more

Appreciate the update from Viewhouse management on the changes regarding the health code issues they've had in the past.
