Was OK. Have had better. The deluxe vermicelli has chicken not pork. Not likely to return.

This place has changed. My last visit was a year ago. Just visited today and food quality and menu…read morehave changed. They seemed to have a new owner. Its no longer authentic. Ordered chicken salad wrap. Instead of using grilled chicken, they used packaged chicken breast chunks. Ordered lemongrass chicken platter. Instead of properly grilled lemongrass chicken meat, they served a large chicken leg with bone. Fish sauce has no flavour. Will not visit again!

I had an ok experience dining here. When I get off a plane I like having Pho as it's such a…read morecomfort...so I've had a lot of Pho due to my travels. I ordered the salad rolls with pork and shrimp...structurally very substantial in size and full of stuff. One could just order a few of these and have a nice filling meal. That said, the peanut sauce wasn't particularly creamy or pea-nutty. The pho is served in a moderately size bowl, but they didn't offer a lot of sprouts or basil. The salad roll had basil as a garnish and I put them into the pho. Also, there wasn't a lot of depth of flavor in the soup base itself...it wasn't watery just bland. Lastly I order the crepe sweet potato and shrimp. To describe this as a "crepe" has never had a crepe (made in the French tradition). It's not at all pancake like and more like a hash brown with shrimp. It was good and crispy but not at all what I expect. The restaurant has amazing ambience, kudos to the decor...with a wall length mural of a peacock and hanging paper lanterns...the restaurant looks exotic. Lastly, service was also just ok, not special or fast. Also, I got my entire order all at once, which I hate especially since I like having Pho hot. When one gets everything at once stuff gets cold! The cooks have no sense of timing (seemingly) and are more concerned about getting the order out. Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant full of charm with ok food and care for the customer. If you're not as exacting as I am about Pho and dining out in general...you may like it...the food is certainly filling.

Vientiane Restaurant - THE FOOD is remarkable! Best Lao-Thai food: pictured here are the Coconut Prawns, Pad Thai, Tom Kha Kai (soup), Pad Phet, Pad Peanut Sauce.

3.5/5 I've been…read moretrying some different restaurants via delivery thanks to DoorDash and COVID-19. I've been dedicating 1 day a week or every two weeks for delivery, and I chose this place due to some high reviews about their pad thai. Overall it was good, but not the best I've had in the city (that award still goes to Sabai on Corydon). I'd definitely be careful in requesting spicy level here, as level 3 was already quite spicy for someone with medium spice tolerance. The noodles were good, however the sauce was quite diluted. Not sure if it was related to the delay in realizing the food was sitting outside for a long time, as my dasher never confirmed to me it arrived and their GPS went off before approaching my house. I'm willing to give this place another try...once things settle down.

This is a golden gem of our city for amazing Thai/viet food. They have very friendly & helpful waitresses/waiters which are quick to come by and help with the menu if needed. It can get quite busy around lunch time or friday/saturday for dinner so parking may be a bit of an issue. The restuarant shares a parking lot with other busy restuarants. The menu has alot of great options & you can request the spice level you prefer on a scale system from 1 to 10. The prices are very affordable for truly quality thai/viet food. I have a usual order of green curry with tofu, med spice & an order of small rice. It has always been very fresh, full of flavor, perfect portion size, good amount of tofu and veggies (carrots, sprouts, celery, peppers) & the right amount of not overwhelming spice for me. It has always been served reasonbly quick as well. I havent ever in the 10 years I have been going had any negative experiences. I will continue to go for the next 10 and beyond!

Every time that I've been there, the place is packed. The interior reminds me of a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant, much similar to the local shops or known as in Cantonese, "cha chan teng," which you'll find in Hong Kong. When ordering, they provide you with a sheet that has all the food items. All you have to do is put a check mark next to the dishes you want, and flag the waitress/waiter over, and hand it to him/her. I have tried their dim sum, with the selection being limited, but they do offer a bit more on weekends and holidays. The barbecue pork rice was a generous portion and comes with some Chinese greens. The wonton noodle soup is also very good, portion again is generous, and also is served with Chinese greens and scallion. Other items I have also tried include the pan fried beef ho fan, century egg and lean pork congee, and one of the clay pot rices. To sum it all, good food, inexpensive, and large portions that's great for sharing.

+.5 for service…read more Noodle Express, as the name suggests, serves noodles, but also dim sum as well. As other reviews suggest, it's definitely a hole-in-the-wall establishment, and it's reflected by the relatively low prices for this place. My party of 8 tried a wide range of dim sum (some people I was with were having dim sum for the first time), including shrimp dumpling, pork dumpling, beef omasum, sticky rice, curry squid, eggplant, pork noodle rolls, shrimp noodle rolls, and golden dumpling buns. We also had two noodle plates: Singapore Noodle and Beef and Rice Noodle. The noodle rolls were really good, as well as all the dumplings and buns. Everything else was just okay, but for the price I can't really complain. Their curry squids are miniscule in size though, as well as their sticky rice...something to keep in mind if you're considering those two items. Service was excellent. Rushed, but excellent. The employees will attend to only if you wave them down, so don't expect them to just come over. Asian standards here. Nonetheless, Noodle Express does a decent job for dim sum at an excellent price. It won't get the 4-star approval for me as it's a case of "you get what you paid for", but it works for the clientele here.
