He gave me the option to do either the upper and lower jaw surgery or just the lower jaw, and the pros and cons of both. The fact he was thorough in the details of the surgery, the multiple impressions, several mock surgeries really helped me relieve the stress before surgery because it was the first time I've been in the hospital since I was two. I woke up from the hospital with no pain, I didn't even need pain medication, I was just swollen and had little bit of bleeding from the surgery from a hole that was probably was about 1cm. He followed up on the surgery as well to make sure every was good for 6 months after as well. I have made a full recovery almost a year except maybe some numbness but that is decreasing, there isn't even a scar where the hole was. The reason however I did not give 5 stars is because of the office, not Dr.Schmid. It was so stressful to see that they couldn't seem to schedule me correctly and had problems with finding my files and changing my dates for appointments, this reduce my confidence in the office and caused me to be stressed and suspicion. But I will leave on a good note, he did a great jawb, haha.

For someone who faints while simply giving blood, I was more than anxious about full upper teeth extraction and bone grafting. Honestly, this experience could not have been easier! Surgery was seamless and my recovery was swift. I can't believe that I felt comfortable within a week after significant bone grafting. It was so successful, I ended up with 6 implants instead of just the minimum 4. My entire journey was fully orchestrated between this office and Dr Steven Schmid at Family Dentistry and Prosthodontics in Merritt Island. From the very first consultation through my All on 4 dental implant procedure and follow ups, I was treated with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. They took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt totally comfortable the entire time - especially Samantha! This was invaluable to me since I have suffered significant facial trauma in the past! This father & son "dynamic dental duo" provided me with completely orchestrated care across both offices and throughout the process. In either office - the staff is absolutely incredible--friendly, patient, and so supportive. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel at ease, which made a life changing procedure much less stressful. The attention to detail, compassion, and teamwork really stood out. The results have exceeded my expectations. My smile looks amazing, feels natural, and has completely restored my confidence. A little more about my experience (6/6/13): I went to Dr T to fix a tooth that broke after 8 years from a previous filling (that he did). But, woops, I got the wrong insurance! And that's where the saga began, for the piece of this story where I try another dentist, see my "nightmare" review of "Bright Now" dental on aurora rd. Basically, the other dentist wanted my tooth removed, but referred me to an out of network specialist who would be out of town for 3 weeks! what?? Went back to Dr. T and decided to pay out of pocket, he decided that the tooth simply needed re-filled, which he did, relatively inexpensive (I was lucky in this regard) but even so I am glad I decided to go back!! I may not afford to eat steak, but I'd rather eat cheap food with properly fixed teeth than steak on dentures. The staff seemed with it today except the part where they almost lost my credit card and I had to tell them which folder they folded it up in (patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue, chant this mantra while in dental pain, because Dr T is WORTH IT) TL;DR Best Dentist in the area, maybe even the best in the state, I have been to several dentists in the Area and Dr T is head and shoulders above the best of them.

Took care of things the way I liked by not doing expensive work if it wasn't absolutely necessary. Then I needed an implant because of a fractured root. The person who was subbing for him sent me next door and I gave it a look, but decided to go to someplace close to me for all the work (implant and crown). I came back for my normal yearly exam and he absolutely tore into me and didn't want to even perform an exam let alone look to address any concerns I had. Told me to go the same dentist I had my implant for besides he could help me since I didn't go to the oral surgeon they recommended. I've never returned and I never will. Not sure what happened to him, but he's not the same person I knew. If he treats a patient of nearly 25 years like that, how's he treat new patients? Really sad and disappointed in him.

Charges included $200 for mouthwash ($50 times four, for upper/lower left/right) and "special cleaning" techniques not covered by insurance (higher price, no doubt). After they finished, they billed EACH of my kids over $300 when our TRICARE DENTAL PLAN should've PAID THIS IN FULL. My honest kids paid their respective bills ($676.18 that I will not be able to get reimbursed). It is my opinion that this association is engaged in DISHONEST PRACTICES and I can only assume all providers in the association give approval to it. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. I would advise against Viera Modern Dentistry.

Pure, unsympathetic greed…read more Scheduled an appointment with them to get a cavity check and general cleaning as I had a toothache and suspected it might be due to a cavity. Even though I clearly communicated what I wanted done, they refused to check for cavities or do a general cleaning unless I allowed them to do some expensive scaling and root planing first. When I explained that I see a licensed periodontist for that, they claimed they couldn't do anything due to their "policy". Their "comprehensive examination" solely consisted of measuring the pockets of my gums and taking a set of bitewings. For this, they charged my insurance company $214 for what amounted to a wasted visit (why is it that every general dentist insists on being your periodontist too?) Thanks to this experience, I'll be having my periodontist take care of any cavities and fillings going forward and avoiding greedy dentists like this.

Like a lot of people, I never enjoyed going to the dentist (who does, right?), but Dr. Haley somehow made the entire long process of getting fillings, relaxing, seemingly short, and easy. She is so gentle, detailed, kind, and genuine, that I drove over an hour to see her to have some fillings done that I had been putting off because of the pandemic. She is an expert who truly loves helping her patients with their dental health, and it shines through in all that she does. I recommend her for both adults and children, as she is incredibly kind and caring to the tenth power. She uses some of the best BPA-free materials, and has newer technologies like DIAGNOdent to detect cavities accurately, which a lot of other dentists don't have. She also takes ample time for her patients, answers all questions, and never rushes her appointments. Her office also offers patients everything from themed rooms (Star Wars, Space, Music, etc.) herbal tea, blankets, and massage chairs, to Pandora music and ceiling-mounted TVs with Netflix movies with headphones to pass time during dental treatments. Who would have thought going to the dentist for fillings would be on par with a spa day or a mini vacation. The staff is amazing and super kind as well; I could literally hear them smiling over the phone whenever I called to make an appointment.
