The place was confusing to find as the store is no longer "Vienna salon", it is now labeled as " lucky cat nails" ... very skectchy looking exterior with the haphazard signage. My nails were starting to chip and I've been trying out new nail salons to find one that I really love and vibe with. So I found Vienna Salon using Yelp and it is only a few minutes from me so I thought to try it out. It's located right on Broadway. I walked right past it the first time, you have to go up the stairs and into the house looking building but they do have a pretty decent sized sign out front. I recently stopped using acrylics because how weak it's been making my nails. Hoang took great care of me! He told me all about Portland while doing my nails and gave me some advice on how to make my nails strong again. We decided to go with color #165 Gel polish and they look great. I've been coming here for 90% of my pedicures for about the last 15 years. I started with standard pedis but now get the gel every time as it looks perfect longer. The place is clean, staff are friendly and they have good prices. My whole family comes here now! They always do a fantastic job and the owner even went out of their way to order me a color I wanted that they didn't have so I could have it next time. We recently moved to the area and were looking for a good nail place to get our nails done. This place was recommended by a girl I met who had beautiful nails. When we walked in, we noticed right away how many different colors they have. The whole salon is FULL of different colors. They have everything and anything you could want. My daughter got a full set with French tips and I got a full set complete with fake nails because I bite mine. I'll be honest, my nails were completely gone -all the way down to the nail bed. My technician was very thorough. She imbedded the nails on my cuticle very well and shaped and sanded them down multiple times. Her attention to detail was excellent. She held my nails up to the light and checked to make sure both sides were the same length. My daughter was thrilled with her technician as well. Her nails were perfectly shaped and gorgeous. I'm pretty sure the lady that did mine was the owner but I didn't catch her name unfortunately. The customer service was some of the best I've ever had at a nail shop. They asked us multiple times if we liked what they were doing and even called my daughter by name which made her feel very special. We will definitely be back for another manicure but we will probably try a pedicure next time around. read more

I have gotten my nails done here about 3 different times I loved all my experiences here. However, I do think that certain nail techs are better then others. My favorite experience was when Lieu did my nails. She was fast but she was constantly checking her work and also checking in with me to see if I liked it. I received so many compliments on my nails ! I don't normally get my nails done it was a total splurge but that visit made me go back another time and then again! I will for sure be coming back even though it's not super close to my home. There is nothing fancy about this place so if you are looking for. High end nail salon this is not it. However I think it shouldn't be about how a place looks it should be about the work and how they make you feel! It is a diamond in the rough kind of place! I'm visiting from Chicago and took a chance on Vienna due to the good reviews. I called first thing when they opened on Monday to schedule an appointment and was able to get in a few hours later. FYI, Vivian is no longer at Vienna for those who are interested. The facilities are nothing to write home about and is actually a little run down but that doesn't bother me in the least as it's in a good location. I just thought I should mention it in case you're a stickler for decor. I was also surprised to find out that people have to bring their own filing tools or pay for them at the salon (only $1) but I'm an out of towner so that's no fault of the salon's. The pricing is very reasonable ($50 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure). That said, upon inspection, the pedicure wasn't good. I do better myself at home. The manicure was decent. Overall, I think there are probably better places to go but this is a good choice in a pinch. read more

I love this place... I love watching Thuy make my hands look pretty!! So mesmerizing. I never cared about getting my nails done because i used to work in the restaurant industry but now that i don't, i figured, why not. I didn't care for gel because they would peel quickly because my nails would break. So i thought I'd go old school and get a full set. I LOVE it!!! I was embarrassingly way too excited after my first visit. I couldn't get over how pretty my nails looked. I just got a fill on my second visit and i am officially loyal to this Vienna and to Thuy. Came here since it had good reviews but my experience was so-so. I didn't make an appointment so the wait wasn't the issue. When I was picking my pedicure I selected the premium option. Said it was supposed to come w beer, wine, or a mimosa: rI never got it though I don't think I would want to drink anything from this place anyways. Dusty and a bit dirty if you really look around. The spa portion of the pedicure was okay but their lotion was very heavy and sticky. I had to rinse off my legs when I got home. But the worst part of experience was that the woman got nail polish on portions of my toes, above and below the nail and when I asked if she could clean it up, I was told that it would come off in the shower. But.. I'm here getting my nails done. If I wanted to have that kind of pedicure I would've done it myself. Won't be going back. read more

I wanted SO badly to love this place, based on all the great reviews. But sadly I was completely underwhelmed by everything :( I needed a fill and my appointment was with Lieu (not sure if that's the correct spelling). I was excited because she speaks perfect English with barely an accent. I love to talk while I'm getting my nails done and figured we could have a nice conversation. Well, that didn't happen. The conversation started out pleasant enough, but then she became very condescending when she couldn't upsell me to gel (I prefer regular acrylic) or shellac (that stuff is a b*tch to take off!) And speaking of polish vs. shellac, I found it very interesting that they had a HUGE selection of shellacs, but a limited selection of boring regular polish. I can only guess that's intentional to make it easier to upsell customers to shellac. I selected a dark red, which as it turns out was past its shelf life, because it was really thick and gooey, but it was literally the only color I liked. She thinned it out with some polish remover, which caused the polish to be tacky and take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to dry. Literally 2-1/2 hours later the polish was still "mushy" under the top coat. It was so bad that I removed it as soon as I got home, then painted them myself *sigh* I will say that she did do a good job on my fill, no complaints from me there. I would absolutely go back, if I wasn't so put off by her attitude and the pathetic selection of polishes. While I was getting my nails done, I was watching the man who works there give a customer a pedicure. He WS very attentive and seemed to be doing an excellent job. He was in the middle of the pedicure when I arrived and was still doing the same customer's pedicure when I left, so maybe this is a good place for pedicures. But it's unlikely that I'll return for a fill. read more

Once they started chipping within 2 days, I went back to get them redone for free. I was surprised by how rudly I was treated by the staff, they mocked me in front of other customers and were blatantly upset because I came back.
