This is a bit of a strange review as I didn't end up finding what I needed here. I was looking for a very specific and unusual tile for a feature wall which I hadn't found in the previous 7 places I looked either... So I'm writing this review because, the associate that was working that day (Danny) may quite possibly be the most friendly, helpful guy I have ever met in my home renovation travels. He recommended somewhere that may have what i was looking for rather than just say 'yeah sorry don't have it'. Sure enough, his recommendation had what I needed. First of all, I'm shocked they don't have more reviews. After searching and searching for a floor company to redo the floors in our 1960's rambler, I was unhappy with all the mixed reviews for other companies. A friend referred me to Oscar at Vienna Floors and I looked them up. They only had 2 reviews which made me wary, but I went in to talk to him and I was sold. Oscar has been in the business for over 30 years and he is passionate about what he does. (Not to be confused with a salesman. Definitely not that type). He was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions that 3 other contractors could not answer. He was not pushy at all. I was under a very quick time frame (needed them done before we moved in) and he made it all happen. Then men he has working for him were outstanding (Angel and Herbert did the floors/carpet) and Mike and Danny work in the shop and answered all my questions. My biggest concern was the squeaky floors so they tore up all the original hardwood and only to discover the only thing under the hardwood was wooden beams/planks supporting the entire main floor. They secured those and then added plywood as an extra support and also removed previously termite damaged wood and replaced them. While they were not the cheapest, they were definitely the most thorough and honest. I felt comfortable with any of them in my home with me and my small children. After the job was complete, I still heard a couple squeaks and so Oscar had Herbert come back and lift up the carpet and shoot hundreds of little nails into the plywood to hold it down more securely. It's unfortunate I have to give Vienna Floors a bad review. I really wanted to give a local company a shot but I've given them 4 shots too many now. First off, we bought carpet runners for our stairs from a boutique store. They told us they could be used for stairs so I called around seeing who could install them. I started via email with Vienna Floors with Mike. Email dragged out a bit so I decided it was better to just call them. Finally called and Mike said he would "call me back" to let me know the exact day they could come out to install. Never called me back. I called back the next day and spoke to Oscar, the owner, and he said they could come install on 4/3, 8-10am. Mike calls me back the following day asking if they could come 4/5. I said Oscar told me 4/3; Mike puts me on hold and said sorry it has to be 4/5. Okay, that's fine. Mike then says he'll call me back that day to tell me the exact time. I didn't hear from him; gave him until COB. I called back and Oscar picked up again and I vented my frustrations at him about Mike and Oscar assured me they would come 4/5 between 8-10am. They did show up on 4/5 for installation but the installation guy looked at our carpet runner and said he could install it but this type was not really made for stair runners. Instead of having to rip this up later we decided to go in to Vienna Floor to pick out carpet that was made for stair runners. We went in on a Saturday, picked out the carpet we would want, and scheduled someone to come measure. The following week, the guy came on Friday to measure then said he would get an estimate to us in a couple days. Haven't heard anything yet and to be honest, even if I do hear back, I don't think we will go with them. There's so many other flooring companies out there and even local ones in Vienna. Not sure if they don't want to be competitive or what but if I were a business, I'd be trying to gain clients especially since you can just up and go find another company (like we are doing). I don't know why I've stuck around as long as I have. I'm basically trying to throw money at them but they're not biting. It might not be a big job but a job is a job. Money is money. Basically everything with Vienna Floors is dragged out and full of confusion. Seems like no one talks to each other there. Oscar is a great guy. Very nice and knowledgeable. I just feel that he needs to hire more competent employees to get the job done. read more

Several people in our neighborhood recommended Vienna Floors, and now I know why. We had an excellent experience with them -- they were professional, polite, and reasonably priced. Danny and Juan both took a lot of time to meet with us and walk us through the options. Rather than offering us the most expensive options, they directed us to the best value for our budget. The installers were also great -- showed up exactly on time, were nice and neat, and re-carpeted our living room in less than 2 hours. Strongly recommended. read more

So disappointed in this company. I have used their business in the past for carpeting. Went in last Saturday to look at flooring for our finished basement and hardwood flooring for our 4 bedrooms upstairs. I needed basement done by May 18. I picked a tile for the basement and Mike made sure there was plenty in stock. Oscar assured me if they got in to measure asap that they could quickly order and get the installation done by the 18th. Dan came to measure Monday morning and I am still waiting for the estimate. I called yesterday and Mike said he would talk with Dan and call me back. No call back. Called just now and Mike said Dan hoped to have the estimate done by tonight. So I questioned the ability to install by the 18th. Waited on hold while he checked. Was disconnected. Called back. Mike said he would call me back. He did call back to tell me they cannot so it by the 18th. Offered some bull crap reason and casually said he was sorry. This business must be so much in demand that they can lose a $6000+ job for my basement and lose my business on the upstairs hardwood floors. You have been warned. They will lie to your face and not follow through. Used to be a great place. Once Oscar retires, I see it going down the tubes. read more

Highly recommend this company that has done several projects for us. Their final work is beautiful. More importantly, they fully assess the situation and manage underlying problems. We had a bit of black mold under flooring that was being replaced. They assessed and affordably corrected that before replacing the floor. A++ read more

My husband and I purchased a townhouse recently with broken tiles. We also needed to recarpet. But matching the tiles was gnarly. Mr. Oscar Aragon (the owner) was really helpful and worked hard to find a match. No one at other stores would even attempt it. We found a pretty good match (these matches are never perfect) too. VF showed up on time for installations (in fact were able to start a day earlier!). They were clean too, did a good job. Mr. Oscar stopped by to inspect personally during installation. I was very satisfied with both the rug and the tile work and would highly recommend Vienna Floors. read more

Hands-down great work and the service is outstanding when you're in their store. But communication is abysmal, both over email and phone. After having my tile job done, I had to follow-up with some trim work and getting that sorted out has taken weeks. I would call and they tell me they would get back to me, but no one ever does. When I call back and schedule something, no one shows up. When I call to find out what's going on, they tell me the time has changed. I was seriously considering Vienna Floors to do the hardwood for the rest of my house, but after this experience, I'm looking elsewhere. read more

I had water-damaged Brazilian rosewood flooring in the entry hall, kitchen, and part of the dining room and solicited 3 bids online. Vienna Floors stood out among the three immediately when Oscar Aragon,the owner, came out personally to view and measure the damaged area. He was totally professional, obviously superbly knowledgeable, having been in business for some 30 years, and exceptionally understanding and accommodating. He told me exactly what to expect and when the new flooring would be delivered --- one week --- and I had a written estimate with the exact square footage to be ordered and a fair, though not the lowest, price the following day. I selected Vienna Floors almost instantly simply because I was impressed by Mr. Aragon and the firm's A+ BBB rating, but waited a couple of days for the other estimates to come in. One did; it was imprecise, albeit a bit lower-priced; the third never arrived. The rosewood ordered by Vienna Floors was an excellent color match, it was delivered as promised, and the quality of the installation was flawless. We could not be happier.
