My fiancé and I had a couples RMT massage. Loved it so much, I had Shawna and she was amazing, the massage was really really relaxing that I fell asleep in the end! Their facility is really clean and nice, I loved the lounge, it was perfect! Will definitely return!

Most of our go-to spots were already fully booked for the weekend, so we were open to trying somewhere new. There is a parking garage directly beneath the massage studio, but be aware of nearby events, especially at Rogers Arena. We ended up paying a steep flat rate of $50 for all-day parking because of an event, so I recommend allowing extra time to find more affordable options if you're visiting on a busy day. The space itself is fairly small. As you walk in, there is a station for foot massages on the right, and a couple small private rooms toward the back. We were shown to one of those private rooms for our session. My husband and I both enjoy deep tissue massages with strong pressure, and this place delivered. The massage was excellent. In fact, it was one of the best we've had. The pressure was exactly what we were looking for (we like "it hurts so good" pressure), and the price was incredibly reasonable. We were glad we brought cash for tipping, as the credit card system didn't include a tip option. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot for a deep tissue massage. The value was fantastic, and we were really impressed with the experience. $314 for a 90-minute couples massage felt like a great deal, especially for the level of care we received.

The spa feels smaller than those in other of the big chain hotels in Vancouver, which at first I was underwhelmed by, but by the end, actually liked that so few people, as I hardly saw anyone outside of the staff, so you really felt like you had the spa to yourself! They had a quiet lounge to sit before/after treatments, with a small amount of snacks (fruit, nuts, tea and infused water). The treatment itself was amazing, my spa technician was Rachel, and couldn't recommend her more, absolutely lovely, always checking in throughout the treatment, and felt so relaxed/at ease the whole time. I did find the prices a little steep, but honestly, the whole thing felt luxurious and will be back for another body wrap! I will note, you also had access to few valet parking, full gym, swimming pool and sauna with any visit, but I did not utilize any of those services.

The…read morereceptionist greeted me right away where I was given a tour of the facilities and then shown to my locker which contained a robe, sandals and a bottle of water. Once I had changed, I was shown to the Relaxation Lounge where I was given a hot beverage made with black and green tea, raw honey, vanilla and spices. It smelled amazing and I am pretty sure I finished it all in one gulp! I was also given a hot hand towel that had been soaked in essential oils which I need to start doing at home because it was so soothing! The Rejuvenate Infusion Facial is an oxygen facial, which is a non-invasive facial where oxygen is delivered directly to the skin via compressed air. This was my first time getting an oxygen facial so I had no idea what to expect. Marisa, my spa therapist, for the morning warned me that I would feel cold, but that it was oddly soothing. In addition to oxygen, an intensely hydrating Intraceuticals serum, containing low molecular weight HA, would also be delivered to the skin. The actual delivery device looks like an airbrush pen with a little well on top for the serum to sit in. Marisa started by double cleansing with a Clarisonic which was very interesting to me as this was definitely something I have never seen in a spa environment before! As a bonus add-on, I also had on my face the Intraceuticals Rejuvenate Eye and Lip Masks which are filled with hydrolyzed collagen. After a few extractions, the actual oxygen part began! It basically felt like cold air being blown onto my face and while it began as a funny sensation, I felt myself relax as Marisa did every inch of my face. After doing half of my face, she asked me if I felt a difference and truth be told, I didn't really feel a difference until she gently flicked my cheeks and right away, the side with the infusion bounced back like one of those vending machine bouncy balls! The side without the treatment may as well have belonged to a corpse by comparison. The effects were IMMEDIATE! The actual experience at Sense Spa was wonderful though and I now have my eye on the Canadian Maple Pedicure! I think the next time I definitely want to take a friend because I was kind of lonely in the Relaxation Lounge. If you feel like indulging yourself a little, book an appointment with the lovely ladies at Sense Spa!

On the day of, I arrived an hour early to my appointment and was able to access their other amenities like the outdoor pool, hot tub and fitness centre. The locker room is well equipped and even had a sauna in the women's changing room. Really enjoyed the hot tub pre-treatment - it was cool being in the heart of downtown while getting some rest and relaxation. About ten minutes before my massage time, I got ready and was served some amazing ginger tea before being led to the massage room. Yuko was fantastic. There are a few individual massage rooms, and even a couple room. The room was again very relaxing and well equipped with its own washroom, shower, robe, etc. The sangre de fruta products were so great and the oil and body butter used made my skin so soft! Really appreciated the small touches, such as a hot towel at the end of the massage and a cup of tea and snacks.

There is pre and post beverages. We also added in CBD Oil and Hair Mask too. I knew I would be super antsy if I added in a soak and a massage as it's just too exhausting to spend that much time in one area. What we really enjoyed like all Shangri La franchises is how the layout is very similar in every country. I really could be in Guangzhou or Tokyo. I was first introduced to this hotel chain over decade ago and the touches of it's signature hotel fragrance and linen is unparalleled. Pros I knew it was a beautiful intimate private space. Super relaxing city escape. Cons We had pool access (not from the spa package) and other amenities, as the location was super central with tall buildings surrounded, the feeling of being exposed is real (compared to Willow Stream Spa or even Westin Bayshore). The massage itself was "ok" and relaxing. I liked the option of the CBD oil. The hair mask, I would pass. Come for an intimate relaxing escape. Don't expect your muscle knots to be gone.

In these pods, you can go solo or with one other person. Once you arrive, it is basically a shipping container that's been repurposed into a spa. There's a code you have to enter that's included in the welcome email. The staff greeted me and my partner warmly, and we were led to watch a 5 min instruction video. They explain the best way to use the spa pod - which includes a washroom/change area, shower, hot tub, hot rocks, cold tub, and sauna room. The spa pod section is actually outdoors, so there is no roof. It made for a cool experience as it was raining in November. I admit it got quite cold for me as the rain hit, but the hot tub was a nice haven. The washroom and shower section had towels and products for you to use, but I strongly advise that the product ingredients should be listed or provided somewhere in case anyone has allergies. I think that the products should all be unscented as well, to be safe for everyone. There was also no face wash, so I had to end up using the body soap on my face. My favourite section was the sauna with pink Himalayan salt rock walls. It was a hot sauna with light and air programming, to slowly dim lights overtime with music, until pitch black. This felt quite meditative and restorative. The lights slowly come back on after a while. There was also a hydration station, with hot and cold water taps, and peppermint tea provided for you. Nice touch! I don't know that I would visit again, if I had to pay for this experience, as I personally prefer a massage portion for full relaxation. It is also quite pricey for a 2 hour session. Nonetheless, this was a unique experience for me!
