Food and services here was amazing! Great for Birthdays! You get a whole entourage come out with flashing lights and loud music to celebrate you. Highly recommend the Mango Fish. The sauce is spectacular! Also, the portion size is huge. On Fridays they have mariachis and weekends are for live bands. Great and fun place for family and friends. read more

This place is the real deal! Great food and people. It is loud with music, so be prepared.

This is a Mexican seafood place and since I'm Hispanic, I should know! When you sit down, they will give you bread rolls and a dish of pickled carrots, onions and jalapeños. Don't be fooled. The carrots can be very spicy! Most dishes will be served with refried beans either black or pinto and rice fried or a white rice. I've been here several times the first time I had fried fish and I was not impressed as I don't like when you taste more of the fried batter than of the fish. But we decided to go back and I ordered the grilled fish and that's really good! My spouse likes the "pescado en Vapor" which means the fish has been steamed in aluminum foil with vegetables and shrimp. When they serve the fish packet, they open it in front of you. The bag makes me giggle because it looks like a one of those old jiffy pop bags that deflates when they cut into it. Spouse ordered it a couple of times and every once in a while the shrimp is overcooked and a bit chewy. But the fish is perfect. I have ordered the fish with a garlic sauce (ajo) and have ordered Pescado Azul. What was interesting is the first time I ordered the Pescado Azul, they asked me what kind of fish I wanted. I thought it only came with a specific fish, but you can change it for an up charge. I had it with the swordfish, and it was delicious. The second time I had it with whatever fish it came with (Basa) and it was equally good. The ambience can be for me at least a bit too loud. If it's someone's birthday, they blast some song on the speakers as the waitresses sing happy birthday. Lots of TVs on the walls and later at night they have a DJ playing music. They also had a trio of musicians, walking around playing music as well. I have to say it: pay special attention to the bill because one waitress charged us for a glass of water! Since she didn't mention that they charge for water and rather than go through the fiasco of having the bill redone, I just deducted the cost of the water from the waitress' tip. I made mention of this to the hostess and she told me they do not charge for water so it was fine what I had done. I'll definitely go back. read more

Food was amazing and service is always top notch. Atmosphere is always pleasant. We go at least twice a month

We all had solid meals today. Very loud music so it was hard to carryon a conversation. All in all a decent meal. read more

We really enjoy coming here once a week. We usually sit outside since we bring our furbaby. Food is delicious! Service, amazing as well. Atmosphere, it can be a bit loud. Id be ok if music was a but lower. read more

This was our first time here because every time we drove by it looked extremely busy. The host was gracious when we walked in and it seemed family friendly. Our server's name was Aracelia and she was very attentive to our needs. She made suggestions and explained menu items. The food was excellent and the service was great. We don't drink but they offer happy hour specials on food only available at the bar but drinks are available for everyone. The server mentioned they have mariachi band on weekends. The place can be a little loud but not excessive. read more

2nd visit - It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside. There was a vibe to the place which was, well, different. Not bad. Just different than the first visit. Under the grill section, the Mar y Tierra is a meal I would not order again. The beef was tough, either of poor quality or terribly over cooked. The shrimp in the dish was extremely over cooked and tough Definitely not worth $25.00. Now the Mango Fish dish was tasty. Well prepared, the sauce tasty, and the fish, octopus, and shrimp was cooked perfectly. The rice flavorful and the jicama slaw fresh. I feel beef is not the thing to order here favoring the seafood. Would definitely would order the Mango Fish again though would not order beef fajitas or steak. Watermelon margarita did not disappoint. read more

Have been wanting to try this out for some time and finally made it in. Huge, open, bright, airy place with incredible vibe! Tons of great TV's if you're there to catch a game, bar area is massive with plenty of seating and smiling faces providing great service. Onto the food - we love it. Super fresh, light, with great flavor for the items we've had so far, carrots are amazing as is the bread! We've had several ceviche dishes, the seasoned/boiled shrimp, and a few other items. Onto some of the negative reviews / comments: 1) If you are looking for the same, on EVERY SINGLE CORNER (and strip mall) Tex-Mex - this is 100% NOT for you. 2) Loudness - This place is LOUD. Period. The band on Friday's is super loud, music is pretty loud on other days. It is very open - so not much to deaden the noise. Fortunately when we go - we know this, are in the mood to have some fun - so no sweat on our end! If you want a quieter place - see above... 3) Service - We've never had a bad experience- there seem to be no less than 40 people running the floor/bar/etc. - so perhaps those with a bad experience were unfortunately unlucky. That's all I have - we love it, but no - it may not be for everybody - and that's ok. Worth trying at least once in my opinion - don't go back if you don't like it. read more

Vida Mariscos - Shrimp appetizer (amazing), Gold Margarita, Corona Premier, HH menu - Sports Bars Near Me - Webster, Texas

Tried this place for the very first time on 11/09/2024. The reason I call it a place and not a restaurant is because it is a Sports Bar Restaurant. The food was great! I enjoyed the Chicken Enchiladas Verdes which was delicious, with rice and black beans. This is not TexMex as I know it, but it was very good. Well worth going to try it. Price was reasonable, $15 for Chicken Enchiladas. Not cheap but not expensive, and the seafood was reasonably priced also. Other dishes at our table contained fried fish, fried shrimp, and fried stuffed shrimp which everyone was very pleased with. So food gets 5 stars! Service was good for the most part and will get 4.5 starts, not a whole 5 stars. The waitress was great with our order, but fell down in attentiveness. When you have to flag them down to get refills, and the server needs the waitress to help distribute the food and hasn't removed any appetizers to be able to put meal down, they loose stars. When my very hot plate was put on the spot in front of me it was only partially on the table because the appetizer plates had yet to be removed. Did I mention my plate was very hot! Toasted fingers is not a good way to start a meal but I'd rather push a hot plate back quickly than have it dump into my lap. Sorry, I forgot to take food pics. Sports Bar, this says it all. TV's all around the rooms close to the ceiling. Great for watching any game that is being broadcast. Nice large bar near the center of the restaurant. The only issue we had was the very loud music. So loud we had to ask several times to have it turned down. We couldn't even hear each other talk. I figured out as we were leaving that we must have been sitting near or under the speakers as the volume was much more tolerable closer to the exit and we had been seated closer to the kitchen. We won't be making that mistake again. We do plan on eating here again and now know the layout, food quality, and service expectations for future visits. It is a must try in my opinion because the food was great! read more

This was the first time we tried Vida Mariscos for dinner, after having several great weekend lunches here. Our waitress was very friendly, and the Vida Parillada for two was very good. But crab-stuffed shrimp tasted very fishy. But overall, it was very good. I absolutely love the black beans and rice here. But wow, the music was so loud, it was very difficult to communicate with our waitress. They also need to work on their margaritas. I had two of the Grand margaritas, and they were so acidic, I had horrible heartburn after drinking them. Plus, they were sorely missing Cointreau or Grand Marnier. read more

I'll give it a 4, since they're new, and seemed you have it all flowing and moving along. The place is huge, busy. Service was friendly, food came out pretty quickly. However... im leaning more towards a 3. Clean, family friendly, and big bar. Even though the place is packed, you don't feel over crowded. Nice ambiance. The food was ok... I didn't walk away thinking- "I can't wait to go back" will I be back? More than likely. It was a party of 8, so I called ahead and made reservations. So glad I did!!! Triple check your receipt! Staff is still learning, so there were some errors on our check. The manager made the corrections, with no hassle. Over all food was a 3 out of 5. read more

Was really looking forward to our initial experience here! Had to walk out... ~15 min and no service. If you don't have a party of 10+, don't bother showing up. It's evident management lacks providing proper training to waiting staff. Cannot grade food quality but certainly service. 000 read more

The food was amazing. The service less so. I'm not sure if the server was weirded out by my being intolerant to tomatoes or what, but the rest of my interactions with her were really weird. I have no idea if she was just an awkward person or was internally accusing me of lying over not being able to eat tomatoes. It's weird yes, but people can have intolerances to more than just milk. I can't eat a tomato without getting really sick. And the dish I wanted had tomato toppings and 90% of the Mexican restaurants I've visited never take my tomato allergy seriously and put pico on the dish regardless of me saying no pico. Considering my family is Mexican and I grew up with my abuelos for most of my life I can guarantee that I've tested the intolerance thoroughly. The manager came by to double check the extent of my intolerance which I appreciated. The fish and tamarindo drink were amazing. I use the tamarind vodka at my personal bar and never considered using apples, tamarind paste, and manzanita with it. Music was also great. Other than the server I'd say we had a great experience with wonderful music. read more

Manager failed to accommodate to my family's request. My sister was disturbed after swallowing a hidden piece of the fish spine in her fillet, and found many more parts of the fish in her meal. Manager was called over and carelessly said he'll be there if anything incase of an emergency. Alongside the manager decided to validate the excuse of meals being served with bones inside. He communicated unprofessionally with the issue and didn't act as a manager. No discount, no apology, no consideration. Personally, do not recommend eating there. read more

I have eaten at Vida Mariscos three times. In a nutshell, the restaurant is a nice space equal to any other chain restaurant in Houston, but the food tastes like it came from a two bit taqueria. My first visit I had the Charola, which is a fresh seafood platter. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was good, the ceviches/aguachiles were meh, and the oysters on the halfshell had an awful red sauce on them. I told my waitress that I didn't like sauce on the oysters, so she brought me some oysters without the sauce. After eating two oysters, I knew why they came with a sauce on them. The oysters were horrible. The worst tasting fresh oysters I have ever had. DO NOT order any oysters here! The second dish I had here was the Vida Bowl. This was a fairly okay dish, but it mostly rice (at least half of the dish was rice). Also, the fajita beef was way overcooked. My third visit I had the mixto cocktail (shrimp and octopus). Excellent. I also had the El Suegro off the lunch menu. Again, the fajita beef was way overcooked in the taco, and the queso on top of the taco was very salty. In fact, almost everything here is over salted. The gumbo was some green concoction that looked like baby food. It looked so disgusting that I didn't eat it. The shrimp and river dish was okay. In conclusion, the food here is hit and miss. The shrimp and octopus cocktail is excellent, the oysters are horrible, and most of the typical Mexican dishes are overcooked and over salted. read more

Wonderful food! Great ambience and top notch service. Live music, plenty of seating, and great patio.

invited my friends to Vida Mariscos to eat a nice Mexican meal. We were 9 people. When we arrived, there was playing very loud music inside. I asked them so that you could turn down the volume a little Bit they sad NO ,so we said let's eat outside. But It was very cold and rainy, but I had no other choice. We ate outside, but a total of 9 people, 4 of them children. We were both cold and we didn't understand anything from what we ate. I would never even pass by to eat at this place again. read more

It was around lunchtime- it was really loud. Hostess seated me - not exceptionally friendly.... Waitress took a long time to come to table just to ask for drink , didn't mention they don't do chips / salsa ( brought the veggies - yuck !) Took a long time to come back with the drink , I ordered and it was ok - but not super. A lot of fries ( which I usually end up giving to my dogs for treats ) ha ha I will try again for dinner sometime and see how it goes. read more

The service was awful, and they didn't attend me and my family right. The food was a little under cook.

I've been here about 4-5 times already. I've had different dishes and drinks each time. I really wanted to love this place, but for me, it's just not there. Food has been average, nothing I've had has stood out. They do have some good drink options though. Service has been fine. Again, nothing spectacular. The biggest knock for me is the music. It's unnecessarily loud. Today I had the privilege of seeing what they do for birthdays. The music suddenly got quieter and I thought "Great, that's perfect", only for what I guess is their "birthday music" 10 times louder than what the music was before. This is owned by Los Cucos, and I've always thought their food was just ok too. To me, there are many better options nearby. read more

Food seemed fresh but oh so bland. We ordered redfish cooked inside a foil packet with veggies. They were cooked right, just no flavor! I liked that you didn't get filled up on chips before your meal, and loved the spicy pickled carrots they put out too. We didn't eat any of the rolls or crackers. Our skinny margaritas were very good. Here comes our biggest complaint. The mariachi band. OMG. They are so loud. Forget trying to have a conversation with your table mates. Not happening. The food was ok, this is not a true authentic Mexican seafood restaurant is American and gourmet kinda food, it does has a variety of plates to Choose. The fish ceviche is not that good, it was sweet and tasted like agua chile same for the micheladas too much hot sauce and no tasty flavor if you drink 2 of these I have my respect for you, the combination of seafood cocktail was ok, and the ingredients were not so fresh, saggy tomatoes and bad lemon taste, shrimp was not clean, still had the intestine inside "sh*t vein" Service was good the ambiance was ok, the place is nice but definitely will go to this place as last resource and not order this items again. read more

Been twice, but I think this is the last. The atmosphere is great, the view is beautiful, but it's just not for me. Rolls and butter is not something I would choose instead of chips and salsa. Seafood is my most favorite food item so I definitely had to try this place out. This is my second time, because the first time I was having a really great time. The ambiance of the place is a vibeeee. Live music on the weekends. Great drinks and great food. My second time, I came with family and was able to order more items off the menu. NUBIA was our waitress and she was incredible. She had great energy and very attentive. She was super kind and just overall enjoyable to have. YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR HER to get that great service you need We had every item off the happy hour food menu. The ostiones borrachos are my ultimate fave. The meat from the street tacos was tender and very good. On the mini ceviches they give you one aguachile and ceviche mango habanero. It was the best kick of spice, definitely had me sweating. The boiled shrimp was delicious as well. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice which needed no extra seasoning. My most favorite food item of all is the sriracha shrimp only off the lunch special. I have never had anything like it and whoever thought about it ,is a genius. Also, the mojitos are just so damn good. I mean I can go on and on about this place, but you yourself would have to try it to believe me. I will be back again and again read more

Let me say first. This review is all about the services. The restaurant itself is very nice. TV is everywhere. Nice atmosphere. It is pretty noisy because it is an open dining room. they do not have any fountain drinks. They're all bottles. The chips are an additional fee. The salsa that was included was maybe 5 tablespoons in each bowl. The real problem came with the service that's all I must say about it. read more
