I went here for the first time and had a bad experience of the food. We ordered a large chicken shawarma poutineit was really tasteless no salt or pepper the only thing was it's white and hot sauce. Except all those we found a hair in it when i brought it back to them i found out that they only use 1 glove and no hats! Although they changed our food but the general experience was bad! First time here today. From the outside, I wasn't expecting anything special but inside it was very clean and welcoming. I think it's a family run business. It looks like the owner and his sons helping him run the day to day operations. The owner was kind and personable and took the the time to explain some of the dishes. We had falafel and chicken shawarma. And both were EXCELLENT. I enjoyed every bite. I was disappointed when I finished it all. Lol It was so good! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Disgruntled ladies who work here. Charge you for asking for extra toppings because they can't be bothered to put it on your shawarma sandwich which you paid for in the first place. Then I find a sharp chicken bone in my sandwich today. Bit right into it, as it was wrapped up in the sandwich and hurt my lip. Good thing I didn't choke on it...as you can see in the pic...it was very sharp. My husband brought it to the counter to tell the staff to be careful so others aren't injured and they ignored him. I came in and ordered a gyro at the Vida La Pita restaurant in Hamilton Ontario. In the middle of the order they switched servers and I continued with the rest of my order. At the end of my order she added chicken to my wrap instead of the gyro. Instead of acknowledging there was a miscommunication, she insisted she confirmed that I wanted chicken in the midst of asking about my desired toppings. I advised if she did, I did not hear and let her know this was not the order I requested with the previous server. To be fair, the server did offer to add the gyro on top of the chicken which I kindly declined as chicken was not what I wanted to eat. The servers responses became very rude and condescending as if they were doing me a favour by giving me this food until a man who I believe was the manager intervened and made me the wrap I had requested, My opinion They both failed to acknowledge a mistake had been made with my order and insisted that this reconfirmation I did not hear was sufficient enough not to offer an apology. They failed to realize that the transition of orders between servers lacked the adequate communication required and could be improved No customer etiquette and felt they became very adversarial and defensive when provided with feedback. I do not understand why this place has such a low rating! This place hands down has the best shawarma out of all the places I have ever been to. The rice has the perfect texture, the chicken is flavorful and not dry, the beef is AMAZING, white sauce is delicious, and the hot red sauce is just the right amount of spicy and it's so good! The pricing is also very reasonable and very affordable. The only thing I would say about this place is that it could use a bit of redecorating, and the location isn't the greatest, especially during late hours or weekends when everyone is out partying around the bars at Hess. Overall, it's worth the trip to get the shawarma they serve at this place! My personal go to is the mixed half chicken half beef dinner on vegetable rice with both red and white sauce! read more

I got the chicken dinner. Rice was fine, reasonably good price. But the "spicy" sauce was way too sweet and hardly spicy at all. Overall the meal was really way too sweet and not great. happened to pass by this spot the other night in Hamilton. overall had a good impression. it was clean and well kept. food was fresh and prepping area was clean as well. the chicken and beef shwarma meat was okay, average tasting. the beef was tough and the chicken had more fat than usual (other places I have had chicken shwarma meat). they put a white sauce they put on had good flavour but it was pretty much the only ingredient with flavour that stuck. the hot sauce wasn't quite hot (coming from someone who can't tolerate heat), and it had a hint of ketchup flavour. not very original hence the 3 stars. had different options for rice - mushroom, vegetable and curry. rice wasn't quite warm. the prices were good for quick cheap eats. the portion was definitely good, about 2 meals in one. decent menu with good variation of options, wrap, salad, rice or bread or both. Customer service was excellent. they were very friendly, not exactly enthusiastic but friendly and informative. would definitely hit it up again when looking for quick cheap eats for a good price and portion size. read more

Food is ok but some of the worst service I've ever received in any restaurant. First visit was a joke but they were new so I cut them some slack. My last visit I was kept waiting in line while they served the rest of my party and several others. They managed to give me the wrong food and only after my entire party was done eating. Last time I'll be back. They also messed up another person's order and were shit talking them as soon as they left. No way to run a business. read more

This is the worst place on the planet for food or service. It is convenient for me so I've tried this place three of four times trying to give this place a chance but I've regretted it every time. This time, I ordered a falafel and they forgot to put sauce on it. I asked them for sauce and they charged me 50 cents for it. There were 4 people working and they were all distracted and inattentive. The falafel was bland and only included 2 balls where everywhere else I've been you get three.
