I love this coffee shop! always high vibes it's popular for playing board games and while I haven't participated in that, i've had my fair share of study sessions here since it's one of the only coffee shops open late (till 11 pm). I love working in noisy/busy areas (it's not always loud but def a good number of people all the time) and overall, great food and drinks too! highly recommend!

I came here with a group got a meeting and just loved it. What a great idea, board game cafe. I kept thinking this would be a fun date spot. I ordered a bagel and cream cheese and it was good. I was not impressed with their tea choices, but that wouldn't stop me from returning. Sweet spot and I'm definitely going back.

Victory Point is awesome! The staff is friendly, and there is a huge impressive variety of different games. The drink menu is limited, but they have plenty of delicious food and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy as well. You have to pay a certain amount/order two things for a table, but it's honestly not too bad and was well worth it. My friends and I spent a couple hours laughing and catching up,and the environment was incredibly cozy, warm , and welcoming.

The place is a joke, my son got a Mr Jack, and paid $18, no sides, or drink included. He did try the place across the street, much better sandwiches and sides included

Bring noise cancelling headphones if you want to study here!! It is very lively (: Very cute vibes especially if you're into board games. The chalkboard menu is super cute too! There are outlets all along the walls, but not many in the taller tables/counters along the walls. Also, some tables in the middle look like they require reservations. Flamecraft mocha: hot chocolate with cayenne and cinnamon. spicy in a good way! gets the immune system going and warms the body for a good study sesh. Employees seem friendly, nothing super standout about service, good vibes all around tho.

Great coffee- we've tried their s'mores latte, marzipan cold brew, mocha, graham cracker latte, honey lavender lattes... all delish! They also serve Boichik bagels, the best bagels in Berkeley!

While it can get intense with sophisticated board games and great competitive minds inside a board game cafe, the outdoor booths of Victory Point secretly extends the charm of board games to a new, calmer experience. Grab a gently lit booth, order a freshly baked pizza, add lavender to your "Babyccino" (hot steamed milk), pick some easy games from the huge game library inside - there you have it, a chilaxing meal after work, after dark, with breeze and ease, yet still colorful and fun. Staffs are great, you can ask anything, they go above and beyond.

One of the most unique cafes in Berkeley, worth a visit for sure! Nice working atmosphere, decent snack and small bite selection, solid drinks and friendly and efficient service. Love the board games theme and concept of the cafe and hope to have the time to try it out one day. Seems to have a strong community and would definitely come back with friends later on. Honey lavender latte is very nice. Some of the drink flavors are more subtle but the baristas are very friendly and were happy to add more and adjust to your preferences.

This is a fun spot to hang out with friends, study (if you don't mind the noise), or to go to for a date. Especially if it's raining. Being close to campus also brings in lots of students and special events can pack this place up quick! If you want to ensure you get a spot- go to their website and reserve a table. They have a selection of food and drink for enjoying your time at the cafe. We were there around 3 hours and had some teas. The selection of games is great- however if they're popular games you may not be able to play your choice. (Some of the directions may be worn out, pieces missing, etc-- sign of a well loved and popular game :) ) Ask the staff they're very knowledgeable if you don't know rules for games, or if you want to try new games. They have recommendations! We played patchwork, so clover, and wingspan.

This place had a good board game selection and I loved how they were categorized into buckets such as "2 players" and "co-ops". On top of that they also tried to color code the complexity level of each board game - green (easy to learn) to red (more difficult). I wasn't a big fan of the tables and the chairs that they provided though. For one, the chairs weren't comfortable and many of them weren't not cushioned. Secondly the shop was super crowded and the tables weren't spaced enough for people to sit comfortably - once we sat down we couldn't get out anymore. But we still had fun playing games. Also they came up with a silly 2-purchase requirement to waive the $8 admission fee for the OGN. One could purchase 2 donuts for $7 and get the fee waived, but we chose their sandwich priced at $15 and still had to purchase a second item. They should waive the fee after a certain amount of purchase in my opinion. But their King in the North sandwich was delicious, although they ran out of ham. They also ran out of sourdough. I think they should've been better stocked.

This place is pretty popular so you can expect it to be busy most times. A lot of students come through most of the time so it does get pretty loud or busy inside. The inside is very nicely organized and decorated, there are shelves of board games and card games to play and some are even available for purchase! The staff is pretty outgoing and friendly, they also get drinks out fast and maintain the space inside very well. Really great service for sure! The vanilla latte was pretty good! I would say the drinks are a bit strong and can be bitter so it's something to keep in mind if you prefer sweeter flavors. You can pay $8/person to have access to all the board games in the shop for the day. No time limit! They also allow for multi-session passes for people who come by often. $30/person for a 5x pass and $50/person for a 10x pass. PASSES ONLY AVAILABLE PER INDIVIDUAL USE. They also allow for people to purchase used board games for $5-25. They offer drinks, baked goods, pizza, and beers. I believe the store is also considered a card game store so they periodically host tournaments or other events. Overall pretty neat place to pop by if you're in Berkeley! Expect prices to be a bit steep, but otherwise worth the visit if coming with a small group of people or even just alone :)

Are you a recovering Dungeons and Dragons nerd, trying to disconnect from toxic Twitter/X cancel culture, missing late night Harry Potter reruns with pizza and beer, and wanting to engage face to face with like minded Anime card playing Berkeley area geeks? This is your Nirvana! I had been here a few years back, but recently I met someone here on a random Wednesday night at 8pm in late November, and it was packed with the above paragraph's aforementioned table game aficionados! Dozens of tables of them, inside, and more outside in the Parklet. Groups of board gamers longing to find the coziness of Middle Earth, to disconnect from most blue screen devices for blue colored cards of some sort, that you could hold in your hands without getting carpel tunnel from watching YouTube and TikTok shorts for hours. Drink craft beers with Pizza? Check! Have a Latte and Croissant? Check! Served by pierced and tatted help? Check! Stimulate your mind and imagination interacting with people before the AI robots take over? Check! You know you're in Berkeley, or perhaps another intelligent University town with a mediocre football and basketball team, when you find a place packed on a school night with dozens of people playing board games to their heart's (and mind's) delight. There is a fee ($8?) for playing board games for hours inside. You can make reservations for this, too. Coffees are good, croissants were good, next time maybe Pizza and Beer? I never got into YuGiOh or PokeMon card games, so I don't know what is popular here, but maybe you, Mr or Ms Geek/Nerd/OG Gamer person, would know. Is there an Attack On Titan board game? Hmmm.

I'm sure it's more of a nighttime experience. Firstly, I took advantage of the speakeasy beer option, which is hidden in the back of the bar. It's self serve with a nice selection. You're given a card that allows you to pour what you want. For food, I did a shrimp and a lamb, yes, I said lamb, taco. Both were great. The lamb was surprisingly great as a taco meat. Very rich and tender with warm, Indian type spices. I finished it off with a Pimm's cocktail from their happy hour menu made with a ginger syrup. Delicious. There is a hidden, speakeasy style door that leads to the restrooms and bar taps tucked in the back, which adds to the overall experience. We stuck with cocktails, and they were strong and alcohol forward. We tried the Sipping Into Darkness and the Cane and Cacao, both well made with bold flavors.
