Matt Jolly was our salesperson and he was exetremely easy to work with. Kirk Catron was also involved and, again, easy to work with. There was no high pressure sales tactics, whcih I appreciate. It is a no-haggle dealership and that's what it is. If you enjoy the haggle, I recommend going elsewhere. Overall, a pleasant experience that didn't take all day. Brian, the finance guy, was very good as well. Overall, a very nice experience.

After five days, I finally got a response from the salesperson that the car was ready. When I got there, it took him half an hour to find the car. When he finally came back, he just handed me the keys and said "here you go." He didn't tell me what had been worked on, and when asked for paperwork he said it wouldn't be available for a couple days, then he would get it to me. That was two weeks ago and I haven't been told anything. That first day I got the car back, the check engine light came on again for the same problem. When I informed the salesman of that, he said "I'm sending the information to the people that can take care of that situation." That was a week ago, and I haven't heard anything, and the salesperson has stopped responding to my texts and emails. So now I've had this car three weeks and can't drive it. I've called the main number, and they just direct me back to the inept salesperson. I waited in this economy to buy a much-needed second vehicle, and to say I'm disappointed is a massive understatement. I do not recommend making a purchase through these guys. The customer service was terrible from the start, all the way around, and I feel like a fool.

Short summary: This was one of the best car buying experiences I had. There is a bit of an…read moreover-eagerness and an attention to detail that can be grating, but the experience was gratifying. Our car buying experience was under 2 hours which is, in my experience, unheard of normally for a purchased on loan vehicle. Full story: I was in the market for a used car and being new to Memphis did not yet have any idea about the numerous car places scatter everywhere, especially on the Covington Pike Car-O-Rama area. I tend to avoid the really large places and branded places, since I shop used and every experience at maker/dealer places has been less than exceptional. After scouring through many of the small lots and seeing lemon after lemon (seriously, places charging 13k for a 2012 VW CC with completely ripped up interior because they catered towards those in dire need) I ended up passing a Drivetime, albeit on Winchester. I've always had an extremely negative opinion of DriveTime for no reason other than that I assumed they were vultures based on the marketing/spam material I had received or seen before. I stopped in the one on Winchester and looked at some vehicles, but they didn't have the ones I wanted and the website showed them all at Covington Pike. They were precious and tried to keep me there offering to transfer all the cars if needed, but I insisted that I would rather drive with my wife than wait an hour for each car. This was a great idea, the Covington Pike DriveTime is very nicely put together and looks like a Credible place to buy a vehicle. Upon entering we knew what Vehicle we wanted to see right off the bat, but it was on hold so we were a little put off and sat to look at the other Vehicle notes we had taken on my phone (since we had looked online before leaving). This was the point that subtracted half a star for me: One of the representatives asked to help me and I declined, after a short back and forth where I pleasantly continued to decline the representative got rude and I informed her I would not be working with her. After that things went amazingly well, we were walked to all the vehicles we wanted to see and liked none of them but luck was on our side and the vehicle we wanted came off of Hold. A brief test drive and we were away. A strange bit was that the representatives switched off during the sale which was something I had never seen before, but this did not bother us. Everything was done with a fastidiousness that would be the envy of an uptight British Banker from 1920. After we had everything looked at, marked down, and approved away we sat with the manager Kevin Harris who was charming and very eager to explain anything we asked. We signed off the obligatory 15 documents in a recorded session and turned to find our car washed and full of gas. Great job guys.

He was always upfront and transparent about the work being done on my car. He no longer works there, so I began dealing with a young man named Travis. Travis is the opposite of Justin. And he and the service team have changed my want to have them continue working on my vehicle. At the beginning of this year, I started having issues with a lot of different alarms/notifications popping up while I was driving (ABS system, brake booster system, battery icon, my sensors were not as effective, etc.). I do not know the most about vehicles because I work in healthcare, but I honestly felt because everything along with the battery light that my battery may need to be replaced. I sat on multiple occasions, 3-4 hours at a time, before choosing to leave because it was taking a while. I was never told about a shuttle process, and because of the strict unrealistic conditions they have for service vehicles, I would choose to wait. When I finally did leave my vehicle, they sent me a quote for a new brake booster system that cost over $2000; my car is only 3 years old. So I got a second opinion (a reputable nationally known auto shop), and they immediately called that I needed a new battery. After replacing it, everything stopped popping up. Audi also performed an oil change on my car back in Feb, but more recently I have noticed a leak (spotty leakage) in my garage but figured maybe it was melted snow or rain; I just didn't think much of it. Last week, a notification popped up saying that my oil had reached its minimal level, with 4000 miles left until my next oil change. My husband inspected it and said the ring was loose and that old oil had piled up in the space of the pan. Today, I had an appointment to have them correct the recalls on my vehicle, so I asked Nick to also have them address that. My husband did top my oil off so I can drive for the week, and some spilled in my engine, so Audi inspected that and cleaned my engine and said there should no longer a leak (of course not now lol), but we shall see. If there is no more leaking noted, I will not be back to this place. And honestly, I would not recommend it to anyone else. They also left my backseat in a mess, after finishing my work. I would have at least expected them to make sure my things were back the way they found them, but they continue to be rude and unprofessional, never mind that they are the reason for my bad experience with them. Hold your employees accountable because what you are offering IS NOT IT!

He was no nonsense and willing to work with what would be best for us. We were able to get most of the negotiation done prior to coming to the dealership. He made it easy and was very accommodating. We liked how down to earth and reasonable he was in comparison to nearby car dealerships. He was quick and efficient. Really loved working with him. The moment we pulled up to the dealership at Covington Pike we were immediately greeted by an awesome, friendly, and helpful person who we would find out later was our Subaru dealer. Daniel was so informative, I loved his approach and realness. He really got to know us and what our family needs out of the vehicle we were looking for and was kind hearted and very up to date about Subaru and also current cars on the market., how Subaru outshines them, as well as the history behind some great older models as well. He showed us around and made us feel comfortable and at home in the process and that's something that's hard to find in a car buying experience. Paul in finance was a gem!!!! He was so cool, had impeccable taste in music, was friendly, educated, and really made us feel safe through the nervousness of financing a new vehicle. We felt like we were in such good hands and any questions we had were answered clearly, he was very honest and straight to the point but warm about it, which is rare to find when you hear how stressful financing can be when buying a car. Paul was funny and caring and made financing a breeze. It was relatively quick and easy from start to finish. I can't say enough good things about the atmosphere and the employees at Jim Keras Covington Pike Subaru! Five stars!!!!! We couldn't be happier!

STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY…read more Update: 10/8/2025 I contacted the General Manager, Ron Ansley via email and forward the email thread along with all paperwork. They still refuse to work on finding a resolution to this matter. I'm contacting Subaru of Americas and will be reaching out to BBB along with my lawyer regarding this now that I have everything on email and documentation to build my case. The repair itself was over $1,300. I'm not rich by any means and I work a regular blue collar job, I'm like the rest of the Americans working hard for my money to provide and pay bills. This is very frustrating. 10/7/2025 My parents brought a 2020 outback brand new from this dealership. They took the car there from Jackson area to have it serviced by the service department and all warranty work. The service department & management is what is making me give this a bad rating. Since I inherited the car due to my mom's passing and having to put my father in long term care. I took the car back with me to Texas and tried to have the oil change done by the local Subaru dealership near my house. They discovered that the drain plug was cross-threaded so badly and over torqued to where it was unable to be removed and repaired. A complete oil pan was to be replaced when it only had 16,xxx miles at the time. Tried to call and email the Jim Keras Subaru service department with no response. Reached out to Subaru of America and they faced the same issue-unable to make contact with anyone after numerous phone calls, voice mails and then finally got a contact person to reach out to, Jim Largue. It had been some time from the repairs being done in July to today. During that time it took over a month to get ahold of anyone. Then juggling that while dealing with both parents personal and business affairs while living out of state. I was able to finally contact J. Largue. He requested I submit all the paperwork via email and he would review it. Then he replied back saying that they are unable to help with this matter just because the carfax shows I took the car to two shop since then. Which shop #1 was to get the emission and safety inspection done (to transfer title from Tenn to Texas) and shop #2 was the Subaru dealership here in Texas where they found the damaged drain plug and made the repairs for me once they were able to order a new oil pan to replace it. $1,300 for all repairs. Keep in mind, I have all documents showing all the services performed and emails with conversations with SOA regarding the wall block I have been dealing with them. I even saved the old oil pan showing the damage caused by a neglected technician at the Jim Keras Subaru dealership. I am a good 10-hours drive one way to Memphis and was not ideally (or road worthy safe) to travel all the way back to allow Jim Keras to do the repairs so I had to have it done locally to prevent any damage to the engine. Bottom line: stay far far FAR away from the service department.
