This was much more than overpriced. 4 of us came for dinner. The hostess was very nice. Our waitress was very nice. The food was very bad. First, the oysters were so pungent, like nauseating. Not good. My friend got the crab soup and just a side of fries. When she got her food, I just heard her say, "what is this? The arctic?" Her food was all cold. The reheated the soup and brought out new fries. Her boyfriend got a turkey club with fries. His sandwich was missing lettuce and bacon. My boyfriend got a burger and asked for mashed potatoes. They brought him fries. Had to fix that. The burger was cooked well done. He had asked for medium rare. But he said it was fine. The potatoes came out very chunky. No flavor. I got the salmon. It was a mistake. It was overcooked and had an odd flavor. It might have been seasoning or how it was cooked, I'm not sure. Nothing was impressive. read more

This restaurant is surprisingly good for a Hilton. The shrimp grits were very good, filled with shrimp. The Vic spinach salad was good was was the toasted veggie linguini. The pecan cake was heavy but fine too. Service was good. Tables are high tops. read more

Absolutely delicious. It is inside of the Hotel Florence, which is a Hilton property by the way. My fiancé ordered a burger and I ordered the filet mignon with garlic mash and French green beans. Every bite was simply yummy. 10/10 will be back to Florence just for this place. read more

I cannot express how much I absolutely love this restaurant. My husband and I were traveling down 95 to a wedding in Georgia, and we needed a place to stay about halfway through because we have a 16-month-old. 10 Hour drive. Not happening. Luckily we were able to find the Hotel Florence online as a potential option for a place to stay. Since we had the baby, we really were limited in what we could explore in terms of restaurant options. We decided to stay close to home because our toddler was already exhausted from the drive and kind of being cranky, so we figured we would just hop downstairs to the hotel restaurant, have dinner and call it a night. Oh my gosh am I glad that this happened! Let me start with the best part of this review. The staff of this restaurant, although the place is a serious upscale food venue, was so accommodating and friendly to my toddler that I would go back and drop money in a heartbeat if I lived here in the area! The waiter literally brought my son a bunch of different food to try (without up charging us), the dishwasher came by and picked up things that he threw on the floor and thought it was cute, the bartender came over and gave my child an iPad to watch videos when he was starting to get super cranky. In terms of a fine dining upscale establishment, this place was so kid friendly I cannot tell you how much it saved our vacation! And then there is the food! This steak was fantastic. My husband had the ribs which were also absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection, the sides of the asparagus and potatoes were absolutely perfect. We also had the banana cheesecake for dessert. Not really a fan on my end, but it was something different and totally special. All handmade desserts by a local woman that works there. The cheesecake itself was to die for good. Portions were huge and we had a hard time finishing everything. I went to this place for dinner as I was staving and it had great reviews. What a disappointment. This restaurant offers free bread, which was good. I ordered a side salad and the Atlantic salmon for my main course. the lettuce was rotten so I sent it back! The salmon was slightly over cooked but it was well seasoned, the risotto was a total disgrace and my asparagus was BURNT!!! Service was ehh. Iwas bad enough I spoke to the Manager. From the greet at the reception till the moment we left it was class in every way and that too without breaking your bank account. Who knew luxury can be so affordable. The modern decor yet highlighting its old heritage is one of the many charming qualities of this eatery. Upscale furniture along with minimalist ambiance makes this place a very warm yet contemporary feel. To have cherry on cake they even have an adorable patio, but since it was drizzling we couldn't sit outside. As for the food, a treat for the eyes and the taste buds. Ordered the spinach omelette along with yogurt pancakes, chicken salad sandwich and the eggs Benedict with shrimp hollandaise sauce. Each of the plate having fresh fragrance and unique flavors. The pancakes rolled with berries & yogurt was to die for. The yogurt & the right amount of berry preserve kept the pancakes moist. Maybe the first time I didn't need maple syrup to add flavor or richness to pancakes. The chicken salad sandwich was very fruity and fresh. The omelette was light and fluffy with just the right quantity of spinach to not over powering the eggs. The poached eggs went great with the twist of shrimp hollandaise sauce, giving it a rich flavor. Our server was very mannered and helped us have a great experience. Great communication prior to reservation date regarding a specific food allergy. Once we arrived for the Thanksgiving brunch the service was outstanding. Zach killed it with his friendly, genuine service and one of the chefs (Jonathon?) came to the table to review the offerings and my allergy. The staff was friendly but the food was so salty that it couldn't be enjoyed. And we like salt but this was intense.

We ended up randomly coming here as we were traveling back to town from Florida. It was my husband's birthday so I wanted to try to find us a nice place to stop on our way home and searched the area and found this restaurant, that's also attached to a lovely restaurant, in downtown Florence. Very glad to have found this gem there! We were there on a Sunday so the menu was a little different than what was posted online, but that was ok. The kids were with us too, usually we wouldn't bring them with us to a nicer restaurant like this, but we were all traveling together so what are you gonna do?! Lol everyone enjoyed their meals! We started out with a nice bottle of Tikal Malbec, definitely spent more than I usually do on a bottle at a restaurant, but it was his birthday after all and I wanted to at least let him enjoy a good glass of wine before we hit the road again (lucky for me he was driving and I got to drink most of the bottle ). My husband got the Crescent City Combo. He said it was really good. He had not had red meat in almost 2 years, and he said the steak was cooked perfectly as he ordered it. I got the Pan Roasted Sea Bass, OMG, it was sooo good! Crisped so nicely on the skin and nice flaky meat on the inside, and seasoned so deliciously. I wish this restaurant was in Wilmington! I've only been to Victor's on days when all they offer is a lunch buffet. My review is of the buffet - I've never actually ordered food from the menu. The buffet is ok - nothing memorable. On this most recent visit, we went on Thanksgiving day for lunch. They had a salad bar, a hot food bar, and a dessert area. Salad was decent - there was also fresh fruit and I really enjoyed that. The hot food wasn't great - I had the ham and it was so tough I could barely cut it with my knife. The side dishes were ok too - typical Mac and cheese, green beans, dressing, etc. I think my mother in law's food is better. As far as service goes, we've had wonderful servers each time we've eaten here. They're always super helpful and friendly. I'll have to come back at some point and try out the regular menu to see what it's like - I'll update my review at that point. read more

It's located in a hotel but is very good food. I had the shrimp & lobster bisque (which I forgot to take a pic of) and it was very good. As my main I had the margarita pizza and salad. The pizza had a lot of cheese on it and was fairly okay. The salad was okay but was drenched in dressing which wasn't the best. On the other hand, we ordering 3 different the deserts. The best one was the brownie with vanilla ice cream. In addition, we got the creme brûlée and turtle cake. All together they were very very good. More pricy and not one of my top favorite restaurants. read more

On our way back north and stopped for overnight in Florence. Went on yelp to see if I could find a restaurant and came across Victors! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Loved the food ( got Steak and Frites... cooked to perfection and the white blackberry filled white cake with lavender buttercream frosting... fabulous). The atmosphere was perfect to relax after having driven 8 hours! I can't recommend it highly enough! read more

A solid meh of an establishment. Sandwiches are decent, but everything is so expensive I would never consider ordering an entree for lunch or ducking in for dinner. The food isn't that good, ok? This isn't a from scratch kitchen by any means. They are clearly upcharging to keep out diners they'd rather not host. Service can be great or can suck, even at the bar. Victors seems very much like a missed opportunity. $12 for soup and salad with portions that don't even let a modest eater like myself fill up? Dude, drop the price or up the portions. By far the best culinary experience at Victors is their complimentary broccoli cornbread basket.... which sometimes I have to demand, and sometimes contains literally two bites. Victors was so accommodating and flexible. Our friend's wedding reception was canceled due to Hurricane Ian. We called Victors and asked if they could accommodate a group of about 40 people and provide a meal and drinks to any guests who wanted to celebrate after the wedding. They were short staffed that day, however, they were able to provide us with an option for a meal including a 4oz Beef Filet with a 4oz Salmon Filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding tables to a small banquet room as needed. Everyone had a great time and Victors helped turn what could have been a very disappointing night into a memory to be shared for years to come. We visited on Saturday, of Mother's Day weekend and it appeared Prom night. That is important to mention because the restaurant was especially busy. They appeared to be short staffed. We waited for 30 minutes to get a server's attention. Our server seemed flustered with maybe having too many tables... This was our first visit to Victor's. We even considered leaving. It was entirely too long from placing the order until our food arrived. We did discuss this with a "manager". But the service didn't get better. We even waited too long for the check. My wife and I come to Victor's for every birthday, every wedding anniversary, and Valentine's Day. Even on Thanksgiving, we've been to Victor's. We only live in the area 4 years, and most of those markers have been at Victor's. Their service is impeccable. Their food is incredible and reasonably priced given the quality of service and the food itself. Even the atmosphere is wonderful. It's not loud and obnoxious like most restaurants, where everybody in the restaurant seems to think it's a sports bar. When you're going to a fine dining restaurant, it's supposed to be civil and have nice conversations without getting ridiculously loud and disturbing other people's occasions as to why they are there in the first place. So Victor's gets an A+ when it comes to the atmosphere. We highly recommend Victors to everybody we work with at MUSC Florence. And most of the time when we have family visiting we take them to Victor's as well. read more

Had lunch yesterday. The worst chicken salad sandwich I have every put in my mouth. Not only that, from the get go, server disappeared, and what was more upsetting, we sat there for 15 minutes before server ever brought our check. Then took another 15 minutes before I could find someone to take card and pay. And this is what really pissed me off, server disappeared again, with my card, for another 15 minutes. What were you doing back there with my card? Believe me, I will be watching the transactions on my card. As far as a rating, Victor's does even deserve one star. I am a local, and believe in supporting my community, especially the new and improved downtown. Victor's needs some serious revitalization. read more

My family and I (6 in total) had brunch here on Sunday, 8/6/17. We were there to celebrate a few birthdays. This was the second time we've been to Victor's and I'm thrilled to report our service this time was wonderful. Charlie was our server and he was attentive and accommodating. The food was also very tasty. My only negative comment would be that the drinks from the bat still took an extremely long time to arrive. (My inlaws drinks took well more than 15 minutes to arrive and they ordered a simple Bloody Mary and a champagne based cocktail) Aside from the slow bar service this place was great and Charlie was marvelous. First time at Victors and it was a great experience. My husband made reservations for 8pm but no one greeted our table until 8:15. They were very busy and we got lost in the shuffle of who our waiter would be, they seemed to have new employees in training which slowed down the service a bit but the food was worth the wait. Our waiter recommended the Black Bass and I loved it- if I ordered it again I would swap out the fingerling potatoes for mashed potatoes, ask for extra spinach ( mine was tucked in a small pile under only one side of the fish- barely enough to enjoy). I would also order an extra side of asparagus- I had one of my husbands and they are delicious! It was a excellent meal, lost a star on slow service but overall great experience. read more

This restaurant is lovely . Located in a hotel it holds potential . Alas the looks outlast the food. We love she crab soup but this was like wallpaper paste . Tasted like pimentos . I ordered the small filet and it was impossible to cut . It was like it was the middle of something else . My husband ordered shrimp and grits and the shrimp were bartered and fried .
