Lunch special chicken soup
Danaysi C.

This place has delicious Peruvian food and service. Usually a very clean place, although last time I went the bathrooms were pretty dirty even though the place wasn't very busy, which makes me think the staff doesn't take cleanliness too seriously. Makes me wonder what goes on in the kitchen. Either way they have great food and lunch specials. My son loved the fish and the chicken soup.

Leche De Tigre

We came here due to Yelp reviews We started with the Leche de Tigre. My husband loved it. I thought it was a bit too chewy / sinewy. I ordered the steak dish and hubby got the fish dish duo. The steak dish was topped with a "chorillana" sauce which was a reddish brown save that was tasty and topped with tomatoes and onions and on the side was a HUGE crispy rice and bean patty. It was delicious. My husband got the sliced fish. The plate looks a bit deceiving but the whole bottom of the plate was covered in a filet of raw Fish cured in lime juice with Peruvian corn and sweet potatoes. If you are very hungry, do not get the fish dish because it's not enough for a hungry man lol. I gave him half of my steak dish because it was too much. Not being Peruvian I didn't know any of the dishes and I asked the waitress if she could give me her favorite or some suggestions, but she didn't speak English and just shrugged her shoulders a bit of insight on native tastes would have been helpful. I had to go ask for a pen to sign the check and the bar area stunk of moth balls!!

Lomito Saltado

Yum yum yum!!! Place is tiny and quant, hidden in a shopping plaza. Lots of available parking. Service is great! Food is just as great! I ordered the Lomo Saltado, skirt steak was cooked perfectly and the flavors were ah-mazing!

Fried fish with see food topping and fried potatoes

This was the first time eating at Victoria's and we couldn't have been more impressed. The ceviche was hands down THE best we've ever had! Also, the fried calamari was absolutely delicious! My husband had the lamb with rice and beans, cooked to perfection. and I enjoyed my fried fish topped with see food and fried potatoes. We'll be back soon:)

a restaurant with a large sign on the wall

As I ran some errands in the neighborhood, I decided to drop into Victoria's. I'm glad I did! It is located at the south corner at Federal Hwy and 3rd street in Lantana near the Post Office. Definitely a little hole in the wall place but worth visiting. At first I was a bit put off by the fact that there were no menu boards or menus to look at. A large QR code for the menu is posted next to the ordering area. Of course, my phone wouldn't let me pull up the menu. The gentleman behind the counter asked me what I would like. I love chicken, rice, black beans, and plantains so I asked for that. He told me it would take 15 minutes but I had my order in less than 5 minutes. The dining area was about 1/3 full of other patrons enjoying their lunches. Everything looked clean. Even though the dining area is small, there's space between the tables and it's nicely lit by the sun in the daytime. My lunch was still warm when I arrived home about 15 minutes later. The black beans and rice were excellent as were the plantains. The chicken portion was a little small but it was nicely seasoned and tender. Looking forward to returning to Victoria's for some delicious food and pleasant service!

Ceviche De Pescado & Papa a La Huancaina

Victoria's never disappoints. Even when we visited Peru, my family kept comparing it to Victoria's because it's SO good. Been going here since I was a kid! Now I take my husband and he loves their Lamb Stew. Our server recommended the Tallarines a Ia Huancaina Con Bistec with lomo saltado style steak and WOW! What a game changer. That is my new go to dish!

Food was beyond exceptional. We got sat right away and food came out fast, hot and fresh! We left satisfied and with Plenty of leftovers.

I've been wanting to check out Victoria's Peruvian Cuisine for such a long time! I had noticed it before in a little old railroad-front shopping plaza in Lantana. I recently ate at a Peruvian restaurant when traveling, so I was already kind of familiar with some of the menu items. The ambience inside was peaceful yet elegant. Lots of customers came through the doors, all greeted sweetly by the staff. As usual I could not decide what to order! Ceviche? The cilantro short rib? I decided to try the tiradito de aji amarillo: thinly sliced fish cooked in lime juice and covered with a yellow pepper cream sauce. The other tiradito featured a red pepper cream sauce, which is much hotter spice-wise. The plate was so pretty! A beautifully yellow sauce hid the pieces of fish, while the sweet potato and corn complimented everything so well. The sauce was delicious. I found the slices of fish a bit too large and pretty awkward to cut. My date and I shared the yuca a la huancaina, which was fried yucca, apparently with that same yellow pepper sauce. it was good, but not good enough to finish. We took home some alfajores, a cookie with caramel inside; yum!

Anticuchos

This is one of my go to and favorite places for Peruvian Food. In the Palm Beach County Area definitely the best! 1st: The food it's what keeps me coming back. I've been a customer since 2015. Honestly there isn't one plate that doesn't taste Amazing. Lomo Saltado it's a classic and the Parihuela nothing else like it. Try the "Anticucho" Cow's Heart grilled! Oh man! Love it and sauces! Tops it off. Wait times on the weekends can be a bit over 45 minutes but it's worth it.

Fried Yuca a La Huancaina, a must!!!

This is a really tough review to write!…read more Not because I didn't enjoy the food, we did, but the service and the vibe outdid the food and I'm not sure which one to give the rating on... There is no real decor to comment on but the wood tables and comfy chairs with ever so slightly mismatched silverware gave the place a homey family feel. Super friendly staff plus their willingness to answer questions and help with special requests really solidified that charm and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately though, while the food and drinks were decent, I was constantly saying this is 'almost' really good. Chicharones were fatty and cooked perfectly but not seasoned, steak was flavorful and cooked nicely but not tender, the egg on top of the steak was overcooked so there was only one tiny spot of jammy yolky goodness, ceviche ingredients were tender and succulent but the sauce tasted like thousand island dressing, etc...

This restaurant has a great location pretty close to the beach, making it a perfect spot to grab dinner. It's half indoor half outdoor, so you can take your pick depending on the weather. The staff is friendly and willing to offer suggestions on the menu, which I appreciated! The menu is pretty large so there should be something for everyone. As I looked around, my mouth watered at all of the delicious dishes and drinks coming out of the kitchen. Even their smoothies look out of this world!!!!! I opted for the steak because I am a creature of habit, and I must say their was amazing. Juicy, tender cooked perfectly. Skirt steak is usually a hit or a miss, but I would say here it was a hit.

We asked which ceviche is their best and she recommended the Ceviche Mixto. It was ready just a few minutes after and we walked over to the beach to enjoy it. She packaged it nicely to make sure nothing spilled. And the crunchy corn was packaged separately so it wouldn't get soggy. Thoughtful! It was super delicious! Nice mix of different fish, it was citrusy, oniony, crunchy from the corn. Everything I wanted in a ceviche. Definitely recommend!

Our family tried a variety of dishes, starting with the Jalea, a fried seafood platter. While the portion was smaller than what you typically find at other Peruvian restaurants, the seafood was fresh. I just wish there had been more calamari, fish, shrimp, and fried yucca. We also ordered the Chicken (Pollo) Chaufa and the Seafood Chaufa. Both dishes came in small portions, and the seafood was only placed on top of the rice. Sadly, they lacked the distinctive Chaufa flavor and tasted a bit bland. The Lomo Saltado beef was tender but similarly lacked seasoning, and the Ají Amarillo was just okay. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting. It seems the food might have been adjusted to cater to a more traditional or less adventurous palate. Peruvian cuisine is renowned for its rich flavors and Asian influences, and I believe it has the potential to be truly exceptional.

First, you truly feel like you are in South America with a laid-back, no hurry, ambience. If you are coming here expecting to get great fast service go somewhere else. We were standing at the hostess station 15 minutes before somebody actually came and asked if we wanted to be seated. Our waiter was harassed, but did his best. We barely saw him during our meal. But I did not take a star off because again, this is a Spanish place run by and for the Hispanic community. You truly feel like you are in Peru or some Spanish town where to spend hours eating is the norm. Our party of four were the only non-Hispanics in the restaurant. Which is a shame because the food is very tasty. Huge portions. And extremely reasonable prices for everything. Two of us had a cocktail - the Inca Pisco. They do not shirk on the liquor and I only needed one to be very very drunk!! We started with the ceviche and fried yucca with special Peruvian sauce (huancaina). I'm not a big fan of raw fish whether it's sushi or ceviche, but Victoria's does an amazing job and you can really taste the different flavors of the lime and the cilantro. For $10 we got a huge glass packed full of the ceviche. It easily fed four of us. One suggestion I would make to the restaurant is to maybe give crackers with the ceviche The fried yucca with the special sauce was also very tasty. You have a choice of fried yucca or boiled potatoes. This is a very traditional Peruvian dish using the special Aji Amarillo pepper. I had the lamb stew, my husband had the traditional dish of Lomo Saltado, one of our party the seafood soup and another had the quinoa seafood. The Loma Salado was a big hit with my husband. This is a stirfry with the Chinese influence on Peru, but not a Chinese stirfry but with Peruvian spices. He loved it. My Lamb Stew was very aromatic and tasty although it was not really a stew, but a lamb shank. The shank was not fall off the bone, but still good. Another hour slow cooking would have made it perfect. The seafood soup had so many chunks of seafood in it that it was mostly seafood with some soup on top. Our party that got this entrée was so amazed that they could put so much seafood and shellfish in the soup. He could only eat half of it. The party that had the quinoa seafood dish raved about it as well. None of us could finish our meals because they just give so much food here. And the prices are extremely reasonable. This restaurant is obviously feeding Hispanic people that don't have tons of money to waste on restaurants that give you microscopic portions and charge you an obscene amount of money. This place was full of happy families enjoying a dinner out. Many of them were celebrating Mother's Day early. This restaurant is a gem in downtown Lake Worth. Having lived here for the last 35 years I cannot believe we never ate here until last night. But we shall return. Probably many times.

It was a large bowl with slivers of red onion, those large corn kernels, and a chunk of sweet potato. There were a lot of shrimp. And the "marinade" was delicious, too. My husband wasn't that hungry and asked about getting their baby churrasco steak. And they said, yes. The small skirt steak was perfectly cooked medium and nicely seasoned. It came with thin crispy French fries on the side. He enjoyed a glass of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc -- a healthy pour at a very reasonable price. The guys sitting next to us had a passion fruit dessert that looked good. It's my husband's favorite flavor. Maybe next time when we are hungrier....
