Had this place saved on my list for over a year now finally came in to try it out. Ordered a ceviche. Mix was delicious. Had octopus shrimp and fish in. It asked for it to be spicy. Came out very very good. I recently have been trying to eat less carbs so I asked for the Lomo saltado they made it in a salad for me and it was very good and had all the peppers steak, onions, in salad form. We've been ordering for quite some time actually, since this place opened so I feel I can finally review this place fairly. I would say it is pricey and the taste isn't quite there. Some of the dishes tend to be on the saltier side and the ceviche doesn't really sit in the lime juice long enough because it taste chewy and raw. And what I mean by that is, if it sat in the juice a bit longer it would actually cook in the acidity. The tallarin verde should have a piece of steak but they put bits and pieces of a steak, as well as the arroz con pollo- for which on top of that tends to be salty. Not including we've ordered multiple times to go and they have added 20% before, when we have picked up the food. And the few times I've picked up food there's an older gentleman that has asked me for a tip!!!! I was literally appalled, I have never gone through that with another restaurant. I personally won't be going again, I don't think the service or food quality where it should be. read more

Funny story. After the recent tornados, my family and I were helping friends impacted to clean up their property. This restaurant was out there, handing out plates of food for free to families and workers alike. I tasted it and fell in love. BEWARE BEFORE VISITING THIS ESTABLISHMENT. We was pretty disappointed, I my spouse and my sister, and our two children came in, menu is pretty difficult to understand. Owner tried to explain didn't help at all. So I and my sister ended up getting the chicken noodle soup. Chicken was tough and the dish was mostly just liquid. My husband got some kind of fish dish and he felt unwell before even finished. Then came the bill was also disappointed as they have a 18 1/2% gratitude charge, they claimed it was on the menu, but none of us saw it nor was we told before ordering. It wouldn't have been an issue if we was told prior. As we feel businesses should not tip themselves and add it to the total bill. Tip goes off of service and quality of food not what businesses feel they are entitled to. not to mention the over 18% is more than the recommended 15% tip. This was our first and will be our last time at 561ceviche. read more

Went here for lunch on a Friday, they had lunch specials. I had the rice with fried fish and calamari and a side on onions. My friend had the Corvina ceviche, it was ok. The fish was very salty and very thin so not much fish. The calamari was a bit tough. It was a deal with the portion and cost but I found quality was lacking. There were others dining so it may just be the dish I had. I would go back and try something else. read more

My sister and I had dinner here yesterday and it definitely didn't disappoint. The place is cute and cozy and conveniently located in Royal palm. Our server was super nice but did forget our water and hot sauce. The owner came over and introduced himself, super nice guy! I wasn't too hungry so I had the pork tamale and papas a la huancaina, my sister had plato probre which came with rice, steak, sweet plantains and steak. Her dish was delish. I really enjoyed both of my plates as well. I normally order anticuchos but sadly they don't have that in their menu (for now per the owner) I definitely look forward to coming back and hope to see them on the menu. read more

Glad to see a Peruvian restaurant out in Royal Palm. The owner is super nice and makes it a point to greet customers. Service was lacking a bit, but I don't count that against anyone at this time. Most restaurants are understaffed right now. The food was overall good. We ate the Parihuela which was really good, just a little under seasoned for my taste. The ceviche mixto was really good as well as the appetizer, Choros a la Chalaca. I ordered a tacu tacu with Lomo to go, that was slightly under seasoned to my taste as well but overall good. I am a very big fan of Peruvian cuisine but moving from Miami to Loxahatchee made it a bit tough to find a good Peruvian restaurant at reasonable distance. 561 Ceviche was incredible! My husband got the ceviche which he says was fresh and perfectly marinated with great rocoto spice. The pollo saltado was very flavorful and well seasoned. I also got a chaufa de pollo which was phenomenal and did not need any addition of spice or sauces. Overall, I am very glad we found this place. I am pregnant and will be delivering at Wellington, so I am glad to have this spot close by so my husband can pick up ceviche for me right after I deliver!!! I can't wait ! read more

Also ordered the Lomos Saltado with chicken and the meat is stirred-fried to its perfection, with a smoky grilled taste. When we arrived, it was a bit busy because there's only one waiter, but we weren't ignored. The price is a bit high for a family-style restaurant.
