This place has been highly rated for decades and despite some cosmetic changes to the building and adding outside tables remains pretty much as I remember it over 10 years ago this must speak for itself. Somewhat limited inside dining times which provides a nothing special experience. To me it is the serves all the time walk up kiosk that is the flavor of this place. Took an early flight back to NY, and was glad I found this 24/7 spot on my way to PBI. First I was skeptical, but I took a chance. Living in Miami, I arranged to meet a customer from Orlando halfway in West Palm Beach for a business lunch yesterday. Wanting to make it a pleasant experience for everyone, I reached out to several of my Yelp friends for recommendations and the response was almost unanimous: "You have to try Havana Restaurant!" I arrived about an hour early for our 1:00 PM meeting and was warmly greeted at the door by Ariana, one of the friendliest and most gracious waitresses I've met in a long time. When I asked if I could set up my laptop and get some work done while waiting, she didn't hesitate for a second. Ariana found me a comfortable table in a quieter area, ideal for working and later for our meeting. That thoughtful gesture really set the tone for what turned out to be a wonderful experience. Once my customers arrived, we ordered some Cuban classics like, vaca frita with moros, lechón asado with rice and black beans, a few ham croquetas, and a refreshing guanábana juice. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor, freshly made, and beautifully presented. You could truly taste the pride and care that goes into their cooking. The service was excelente from beginning to end friendly, attentive, and sincere. The restaurant itself was spotless and full of that warm, welcoming Cuban charm that makes you feel right at home. What was meant to be just a simple business lunch turned into one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in quite some time. I left not only impressed but genuinely grateful. Stopped in today as part of my fantastic Historic West Palm Beach Neighborhood Food Tour where we visited the best places along S. Dixie Hwy. This place is a family affair and you can feel it in the staff and the photos of the family. It's been a celebrated Cuban restaurant for over 30 years. Lunch specials are an exceptional deal and include any two sides from tostones to yucca. Lechon is melt-in-your- mouth delicious and prices reasonable. The empanadas were good hot, tasty and filling. The main course chicken was challenging to eat because of all the he bones, not my favorite. Tge rice and beans were ok. Stopped by for lunch while visiting West Palm Beach for work and while I was a little disappointed that there no indoor seating during daytime hours (and it was raining), we ordered at the walk up window and grabbed some food because we were starving. My sister and niece ordered some empanadas and papa rellena and they seemed very pleased with their options. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and the bread was toasted perfectly, the acidity of the pickles and mustard balanced the richness of the ham and roasted pork and it was lovely.
