OMG. It was so good! I had the Weds special which was picadillo and OMG it was sooo good. Annie had the Cuban sandwich as the bite I stole was delicious. The flan was light and not super sweet like most places. It's a tiny hole in the wall for real but it is worth standing in line and you can get it to go if you want. The pretty young lady behind the counter was very nice even if her English wasn't fluent. I'm definitely going to eat here again the next time I am in south Florida. Not fancy but great food and service.

This feels like one of those "hole-in-the-wall" places you find and never forget. In fact, we are already talking about when we can go back next! Super friendly staff and absolutely delicious food. We had the Saturday specials of chicken stew and beef stew (carne guisada). We also had a side of fried plantains, black beans, and a beef empanada. All were incredibly, incredibly good. Go go go!!

Anytime I'm in S. Florida I've immediately got to get Cuban and Dominican food. This place does not disappoint. Flavors were fantastic. And maybe the best sweet plantains I've ever had. I'll be back.

Si estas buscando algo parecido a una panadería latina estes es el lugar. Todo riquísimo, el pan y el café justo como en PR aun siendo dominicano. Lo recomendamos 100% el servicio fue excelente siempre que vamos.

Everything delicious!!! I am from Atlanta Ga driving to Miami with family, found this small place with great service and, an incredible delicious menu.

Had their steak and onion sandwich and went back again the next day. The menu is varied and they have a nice steam table.

Good service but food had no flavor. Had the pan con bistec that had no basic flavors like salt.

The restaurant is located in a small strip shopping center just north of the Greenwood Shopping Center on Congress Ave. in Palm Springs. We arrived at a good time as the inside is rather small. By the time we left, almost every table was full. Many people picked up take out orders throughout our meal. La Cosinita is a very busy restaurant! This was our first time trying Puerto Rican food. My husband ordered Mofongo stuffed with chicken and peppers and was very pleased with his choice. The portion size was quite generous. I ordered the Chicken de Plancha. My chicken was grilled to perfection and accompanied by plantains and black beans and rice. I enjoyed every bite. Our server checked on us several times during our meal. She was also very patient when we ordered as we weren't familiar with some of the menu items. The prices and portion sizes of our meals were a good value. This small but busy restaurant is a neighborhood gem!

The flavors were rich, comforting, and straight-up authentic. You can taste the love in that food. And let's talk portions... they are NOT playing with you. I had enough leftovers to run it back for dinner later, and it still tasted just as good! The service? Super attentive and welcoming--exactly what you want when you're trying to sit, relax, and enjoy a good meal. And the decor is such a vibe--cute, cozy, and full of personality. Even the restroom had a unique touch... a big pot turned into a sink! Like... come on, that's creative Will I be back? Oh absolutely. Probably next month though, because it's about an hour drive for me--but listen... it's worth it. If you're ever in the area and craving real, authentic Dominican food... don't even think twice. Just go.

This is exactly what a PR bakery should be, happy music playing in the background of a cozy shop decorated with flags and frogs. Love it! Angel was working the counter, and he happily showed and discussed the menu. We settled on a Huevo de Jamon & Queso (Egg with ham and cheese), which came out flaky, and delicious, toasted and pressed flat, plus a Bavarian Cream horn pastry because I like sweet stuff, then I grabbed a tray of pastries because people at the office like sweet stuff too. Service was already great, but then the owner Diana came out to meet me and handed over a fresh baked loaf of PR sweet bread as a gift! The owner offered us some fresh bread baked that morning since it was our first time there. The bread was fresh, airy, and slighty sweet. A great rendition of a sweet italian loaf. The bacalaito guisado was fantastic. It had yuca, potato (yellow, white, and sweet), squash, avocado on top, as well as plaintain and of course the salted cod itself. It was well seasoned and stuck to your ribs. The empanada de pulpo had perfectly tender octopus and a superior crispy crunchy empanda shell that was the culmination of expertly crafted dough and a fry to perfection. I could not highly recommend this place more. The feel is very homey and they make you feel like one of the fam. It is only open untol 5 as it is a lunch, breakfast, or early dinner kind of place so plan accordingly. However, male sure to include it in your plans and pick up some pastries for the next day. Our Guayaba and Guayaba y queso were both to die for.
