EV charging stations

Our stay at Victoria Inn was good and met our needs. Their free breakfast (7am-10am) was pretty good. I prefer my eggs scrambled. But, their ready made omelette and egg quiche was pretty good along with their tasty sausages satisfied my breakfast needs. Their waffles were good as well. Their wine hour (5pm-6pm) is a cool touch. When we were there they had chardonnay and merlot with assorted crackers and cheese and cut apples. The downside about this place is that parking is not free. However, I am very thankful that they had EV chargers in their parking lot which was very very convenient. They had 2 EV chargers. It took out the need of finding an EV charging station and having to wait in the car to charge. The room was spacious compared to your typical hotel rooms and the fireplace was a nice touch especially during the winter. The shower pressure was good and the water easily went down the shower drain. I like how the room had 2 separate sinks and I didn't have to share the sink with anyone. Overall, we were comfortable and content staying at this place and wouldn't mind staying here again.

Had a great stay Loved the fireplace Breakfast was good and organic I don't really like seeing pets in the food area but other than that it's a clean place

I love this place! It's the perfect mix of old fashion elegance mixed with modern updates! Our room was beautiful, the fireplace was the true selling point but everything other aspect was just as great! Front desk service was fantastic and I wish we could stay longer! Definitely recommending to others & will be back!

This is my second time staying at the Victorian Inn, and it was just as pleasant as the first time. The inn is just steps away from the water and within walking distance to many restaurants. The building is a bit old, which is why it is more affordable than other locations. The staff are super friendly and helpful. My fur babies and I definitely enjoyed our stay.

We've stayed all over Carmel & Monterey for Car Week; this year we chose Victorian Inn, a boutique hotel within walking distance of Cannery Row. Wonderful first impression; upon entrance, the names of dogs staying at the hotel are listed on a chalkboard, & the gentleman checking us in welcomed us warmly. The house that contains the lobby & breakfast buffet (served til 10am) is a charming Victorian. Our room, located in a separate building, was more modern. Bed was comfy enough & the pillows were actually still fluffy. The room's main feature, the gas-burning fireplace, didn't seem to be working. Also, while there was a thermostat, it didn't blow out cold air; a non-issue since our room was temperate enough to not need it. We enjoyed our spacious & clean room with patio seating & updated bathroom. Would absolutely stay here again. Parking in their underground garage is $17/day.

Room 126 has been neglected, it is run down. I would expect more for the price you pay to stay here. Sunday rate was reasonable, but we don't understand why the Monday rate doubled. Breakfast options were disappointing. The egg and sausage were not very warm. Fruit was minimal, only bananas. This establishment claims to be dog friendly. The only part of this place that is dog friendly is the front desk. There are no areas except raised planters for the dogs to go potty. We travel a lot with our mini poodle and stay at hotels and inns. This is the first place where she was constantly smelling everything in the room, from that I am assuming that they don't sanitize the rooms like other dog friendly accommodations.

This hotel is a little over 2 blocks from cannery row. It's a quaint old Victorian home made into a beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing with a nice fireplace. We had a small balcony and you could the ocean in a distance. They have a free breakfast that was sufficient to start the morning. And each evening they have wine and cheese. Definitely deserves another visit.

Nice cute little place and everything is walking distance, also very nice staff from the front desk to the housekeepers, house men and ect, the staff was wonderful and the whole place felt welcoming!. My favorite part were the waffles ! Will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends.

I like this place for a few reasons. The price is pretty reasonable. Way less expensive than staying in a place, hotel or inn in Carmel. Two, it's cozy. Every room has a fireplace which is perfect for the cold temperatures in Monterey. Very essential to have all year round because when the ocean breeze kicks in the town, it is beyond cold. Nice perks for the inn; every night, they have a cheese and wine social in their cozy lobby that features, a large platter or cheese, strawberries, crackers and apples. Wine and tea is also served and every morning, they serve breakfast to their guests between 7 am and 10 am in the morning. Rooms are basic but nice with a fireplace as previously mentioned, a large comfy bed, over stuffed chairs and a bathroom. Overall, a nice place to stay. Recommend.

During our visit we had the pleasure to discover a highly talented artist by the name of Adrea, who has the most incredible voice and presence. I can't state how exceptional our experience was to enjoy the music in such an elevated atmosphere, relaxing by the fire, enjoying the outstanding craft cocktails by their highly talented mixologist. This was our second time staying in Monterey and I had been looking forward to staying at this hotel someday. It was everything I imagined and more! The service was exceptional from the valet to the bellhop to registration and restaurant staff. We are also IHG elite members and we were given a room upgrade with a thoughtful card and gift for our anniversary. Our room was facing the ocean on Cannery Row with a balcony. It was a very nice, spacious and clean room with alot of thoughtful attention like providing refillable water bottles, robes and an amazing Nespresso machine. There was also a wine bar and snacks available for purchase. The hotel had a wonderful scent throughout and we enjoyed walking through the ocean vibes staircase featuring a jellyfish. Definitely look for that! We loved having our anniversary dinner at The C Restaurant, but that will be another well earned review on it's own. However, we did have two negative experiences, one was that we waited a bit too long for our car at the valet once and there was an accidental spa charge on our receipt when checking out. I still gave them 5 stars because they rectified it right away and even removed the valet charge for us, which was much appreciated. I would love to come back to this hotel someday to bring my parents and we hope you love it too!!

Toddler Notes for the Hotel: [[ Pro's ]] 1.) The room we got on the 3rd floor corner was very spacious and had a ton of room. We were able to set up a pack and play and still had a generous amount of room left to walk around. 2.) Blackout shades and see-through shades for double coverage which keeps the room nice and dark at night. 3.) Location is great as it's super close to Cannery Row, lots of restaurants, and Monterey Bay Aquarium which was our ultimate destination. 4.) Parking Garage is free and decently sized and can fit a mid-size SUV with no issues. It will get tighter if you have a humongous full-SUV though (see pictures). [[ Con's ]] 1.) So Many STAIRS. Like legitimately, there are so many stairs. I took a ton of pictures to give you an idea. Stairs coming down from the elevator, stairs between floors, etc. This is not very young kid friendly when you have a stroller, a bunch of kid items, etc. I'm not sure I would stay here again due to the amount of stairs and inconvenience. 2.) Noise Level - If your kid is sensitive to noise, be prepared to have a ton of sound machines because you really could hear a ton of things. Cars, honking, other people's rooms, etc. 3.) Shower - It did seem a bit rusty in certain places and our shower wouldn't drain so there was a big puddle the whole time we were showering. The steam also set off the fire alarm like another person mentioned. Quick conclusion - I think it's an okay IHG hotel but not very good for families with young kids. Good for the location though.

I would definitely stay here again if I wasn't looking to splurge and just wanted a room for the night.

We only tried breakfast at the restaurant but it was great. The serving sizes were huge. Definitely could have split one plate between 2 people. Even the kids meal was a large portion size. I will say however, that this is not the most accessible hotel if you have a stroller or wheelchair. The lobby has an accessible lift (the entrance is at the bottom of a small staircase), but we didnt know this when first walking over. So I spent a few minutes walking around the property trying to look for a way to get my stroller and 2 kids up to the front desk. The lift is also pretty narrow. I have a tandem double stroller so I was able to fit, but I dont think I would have been able to use the lift if I had a side by side double stroller. The only other way to get up to the lobby is to go through one of the elevators in the parking garage. But if you didn't park in the garage, then you'd have to walk your stroller (or move your wheelchair) into the parking garage and then use the correct elevator to get to the main lobby. Having small kids, this was just more inconvenient than anything. Not the hotel's fault, but just not a great fit for us at this time. I am grateful that they have multiple elevators throughout the parking garage so that you dont have to walk all the way across the property to use the elevator. The hotel was also recently renovated, but the attention to detail just wasnt there. One of the towel hooks in our bathroom was hanging off our wall, the light in the hallway was crooked and was very wobbly, and there was a panel that was supposed to covering the wires from the phone that was kinda just hanging loosely. Not a big deal for us, but just things that we noticed that could've used some work. Overall, not a bad hotel, but the stroller accessibility was just not a great fit for us as a family with young kids.

So either housekeeping was being dishonest about finding it originally, or they're being dishonest about changing the bedding between guests.) And now, after nearly a month of waiting, calling, and emailing, the kindle was FINALLY mailed. My initial review still stands. What an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. "Disappointed" would be an understatement. Booked one night (using points) at this property and really wish we hadn't. Was charged a mystery $50 fee at check in. Then at checkout we asked what it was for, the guy working the front desk didn't have a clue and he tried to say he'd fix it "when the computers were working again." When we called his bluff by saying we'd come back in an hour, it was magically fixed. Shady! The room itself was meh... the floors were strangely sloped/didn't feel level. The real kicker here: there was no bedside table on my side of the bed (an inconvenience in itself), so my kindle was placed on the bed with me. I unfortunately forgot my kindle on the bed and didn't realize until we had checked out and were hours away. We called the hotel and were told they didn't find anything in the room. I know for a fact it was left in that room (I've double triple quadruple checked my luggage and there's no where else it could possibly be). Again, SHADY.

One of the highlights of our stay was how the hotel carried such a unique atmosphere and history. It wasn't just a place to sleep--it felt like part of the adventure. Between the ocean views, cozy spaces, and local touches, it really captured the spirit of Monterrey. And then there were the ghost stories. Whether you're a believer or just love a good tale, they add an extra layer of fun and mystery to the stay. If you're someone that believes (or not), go to the front desk and ask for the "book". It had 78 pages of first hand accounts of unexplained happenings from guests. We had a very small moment ourselves, while I was sharing what I uncovered about the ghosts with my significant other in the morning, suddenly the bathroom light just turned on. Nobody was around and they do run on sensors. Not a significant event but certainly was well timed. Overall, Hotel Del Monte struck the perfect balance between comfort, history, and a touch of playful spookiness.
