We went last Monday for a small namnsdag celebration...ordered 2 faux filets, one a point the other (mine) a point plus a little bit more....time and again this means they both get slapped in the pan the same time and come out a point plus and that's how it is....but not this time
They arrived as ordered and were excellent...actually I was actually sat looking at the chef so I could see what he was doing...and he was very efficient and attentive to his cooking. On top of that, as an aside, I watched as he cleaned the hobs as well as the floor after...it was pretty spotless. Washed down with 50cl of a decent rouge, the steaks, not the floor!
To follow, I had the moelleux...it was OK but not so moelleux as I'd hoped! On the other hand my partner's dessert of the day, a choccy pie, was seriously good...yes, I was actually allowed a small tasterette of her chocolate!
Since they opened, I have been a few times...the only duff meal was when we both had the confit...and it was duff only because we like the skin crunchy and had expected that after the first visit which was so good...
The service, by the same chap each time has been excellent - no "typical Parisian waiter" he. As far as I could tell, it was just him and the chef doing everything...it functioned very smoothly for all that evening. very good. And its not overpriced either btw
