Eventually, we paid for another shot in each of our coffees so that made our drinks total out to 12 dollars each. the redeeming part was the black sesame flavor was good and it didn't taste too sweet. i usually dont like to leave a negative review, but this place was really not worth the high price point :( they should really let all the lattes come with coffee as the standard and also disclose that paying extra for espresso includes a double shot

She was again not impressed and didn't give one crap I said what I said politely however she couldn't care less about my business. So, as I told her, I will never be back and you can enjoy losing thousands of dollars of my business and I always tip 20+%. I have spent well over $1000 at this place over the years and now come here 1-5x/wk. I also have new work starting next door so I would've been coming here to spend thousands more over the next few years. I'm a massage therapist who care greatly about his clients and I would NEVER do business this way. The food/ costs are very low to keep a customer happy and coming back to spend thousands more. If you care about business integrity and appreciation, I recommend going elsewhere. In addition, I will be telling my business associates next door and another who works a few blocks away about my experience. Every chance I get with our open house coming up and all clients I see in the area will be told about alternatives to this business. Very skinny young woman, with long hair, tattoos, sparkly eye paint was the one I spoke with today at 2:10pm.

I should preface this letter by saying that I am a woman. This should hopefully seem inconsequential, but being a woman is one of the greatest disadvantages you can have if you work for Mike Hilliker, the founder of Vic's Espresso and News. He is a man who believes women should have to take an intelligence test in order to vote, if a firsthand account from a manager is to be believed--which I do. The way he treats me and other women gives me ample reason to. I could list all the ways women are slighted and passed over professionally there, but I don't have room for everything. Instead I'll focus on the repugnant fact that Vic's is a cesspool of sexual harassment. I have never felt so degraded or disgusted than I have during my (now thankfully terminated) time there. To work at Vic's is to be inundated by constant sexual harassment by customers and managers alike--because as should be obvious by now, there is not a single female managing the Boulder stores. When a coworker was menaced by one of the managers-he drunkenly detailed all of his sex toys and their functions to her, even going so far as to ask her to hold his penis while he urinated mere feet away from her--she had no one to go to and her distress went absolutely ignored. Oh, I'm sure he got a stern talking-to and maybe even a stiff slap on the wrist. But he still has his job. I worked with him up until the day I left. Ultimately everything comes down to the owner. This means that anyone Mike is friendly with is guaranteed employment or a free pass to say or do wildly inappropriate things. More often than not, customers are regulars who were already friends with Mike or got that way through their continued patronage. A latte a day is apparently more important than employees' comfort and well-being. One man, a grandfather, asked me how I could be tired when my boyfriend wasn't in town. Another liked to call me "baby". Usually I was too stunned to say anything, but even when I did it got me nowhere: when I told a manager how much I dreaded work because of this, he told me I should "set boundaries". This is the same manager who later spent a good half hour trying to persuade me to break up with my boyfriend and felt free to tell many of my coworkers about his long-standing crush on me, perhaps because he knew they would tell me what he said. So you see, not only is blatant sexual harassment accepted at Vic's, it poisons from the head down and from the inside out. Vic's may be a well-established Boulder institution, and I understand that many have become rather fond of the place. However, if you can read this and still aren't willing to get your fix elsewhere, then you are directly sponsoring sexual harassment and rape culture. Vic's is rotten to the core. Boycott and insist others do the same. read more

After having visited Vic's Again; I have never returned. Out of all of the coffee shops I have ever been to in Boulder, this is the last place I would recommend to anyone. I generally recommend The Laughing Goat, The Cup, Saxy's, or Buchannan's on the HIll; but never Vic's. Replace the V with a D and you have a more appropriate name for this establishment (at least that's the general joke that's been going around for ages). P.S. The people here don't have a sense of humor either. read more

I like the Vics on Broadway but this one on 30th is just not as good. The internet often doesn't work and even though I asked if it was working when I bought my drink and got a yes. no connection after I sat down. I had to go by a drink somewhere else to get on which is frustrating. They charge too much for almond milk too. I may give them another try everntually. read more
