If I could give five stars for the ambience, cleanliness and vibe of the inside, then I would get five stars! What a beautiful, bakery and fully stocked! The restrooms were clean, and the employees were extremely friendly! Today was apparently their grand opening, which I had no clue. Anyhow, there was music playing outside and they were getting balloon arches ready for the day. I ordered a chicken empanada and guava and cheese pastry. I figured those are two things that I needed to try as any staple as basics in a cuban bakery. The empanada took two bites for me to get to the filling, and the filling was underwhelming. I was super disappointed, and I feel like it really needed some sauce. The crust of the empanada tasted as if it had been sitting there, but it was pretty early in the morning. The pastry with the guava and cheese was decent, but the cheese was focused in the center, and there was barely any guava. I wish them all of the success! I unfortunately was underwhelmed and would probably not go back. I did read the reviews about sandwiches so I opted to not try those. If I need an empanada or a pastry, I would definitely just go to you know where across the way. Anyhow, very beautiful and I wish them lots of luck!

The quality of the food is great, with pastries, sandwiches, and bread being of a unique kind, the Cuban (or Miami) kind. There is a charming environment that is tinged with diversity and lots of people speaking Spanish ONLY, and even though this happens at most ethnic eateries, it may affect your experience, especially when that extends to workers who cannot understand each other. It's funny and/or frustrating, depending on what day you are having. I can't stay away of those pastelitos though...

I came here on my way home on a whim. Loved the selection of goods. Everything I had was delicious. I took a star off because I wish the prices were cheaper. Getting multiple items added up fast!!

My partner and I ended up stopping by during their grand opening. We had a good time as the let us try various samples. We ended up getting chicken empanadas which were very good, as well as a pan de bono. I am not completely sure what they called it, but they had this dessert that I could only describe as a macaroon macron that was very good. I would definitely come back again.

Stopped in to check them out and see what pastries they have. Most of there pasties are Spanish. I was looking for something with apples. But I got chicken croquettes (sure it's spelled wrong) which was good and papas rellena. Both was good and really enjoy the potato ball stuffed with meat. Very good. Also got a cake pop. Will have to go back and try one of there sandwiches or breakfast.

They only opened a couple weeks ago and I was really impressed with the pricing and selection. From tequenos to breakfast sandwiches, it seems like they have a little bit of everything. The guy the cash register was friendly and gave us a good overview of the menu. He seemed to love his job and even recommended what the best value items are. I will be back for the breakfast sandwich coffee combo. My husband loves coffee and I love a good breakfast sandwich. The inside was clean and had plenty of seating for people who were wanting to eat in store. I like that you could either order food or just grab something quick. We'll definitely be back.

This is the latest location opened in Waterford Lakes. I had to stop and order a Steak Sandwich. The place is very clean, not too busy. Nice music playing. Staff were very nice. Took my order right away. The sandwich was everything I expected. I am so glad this location opened. I will be making more cafe con leche runs for sure.

We ordered two Pastelitos with meat, one iced coffee con Leche and a Cuban sandwich at 12:39pm. A few minutes later, we received the Pastelitos. I went to sit down then they called me for the coffee con leche. I asked two or three employees where my sandwich was and thank God I had the receipt because nobody printed it for the kitchen. In the meantime, I did go to the restroom and it was very clean in there, but I received my sandwich at 1:08 pm. While I was waiting, I noticed a lot of customers complaining about their orders. All of the food should've came out together not many minutes later. I know they're new, but this is basic customer service. When the kitchen gets behind people from the counter should step back there and assist. It appeared the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.

I had one of the worst experiences at Vicky Bakery. They just opened, but honestly it feels like they should already be closed if this is the level of service they're giving. They messed up my order not once, not twice, but three times. I ended up waiting about 45 minutes just to get food that still wasn't right. After all that, they tried offering me free food to "make me happy," but at that point the experience was already ruined. On top of that, the tequeños were not good at all--they were burned and tasted like they had been sitting too long. It felt like nobody was paying attention to the food quality or the orders. Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. Long wait, multiple mistakes, burned food, and poor quality. Definitely the worst experience I've had at a bakery.

I am so happy a Vicky opened around the corner from me. As always, great food and bakery items to choose from. The girls are very friendly and the ambience is quiet for now considering it just opened up. This will definitely be my mornings cafe con leche spot.

    Beef and chicken? Empanadas.

My husband was so excited to show me Vicky's bakery since he's familiar from Miami! We went to the soft opening... I personally was very disappointed. Ordered 2 cortaditos, Guava pastry , and two empanadas one chicken and one beef. The order ended up coming out to $13. I did think that was pretty cheap but we decided to make sure we took care and tip. After tipping, we realize that we only received one coffee when we we brought to their attention was advised we were wrong. I told my husband to let it go. The coffee was sooooooo Sweet not drinkable AT ALL! The empanadas were both mushy. On the one plus side my husband loved his guava pastry... Rating 1-10 is 2. Can't go back. Might try Miami's location to give them another chance but overall... No thank you. Respectfully.

I can't speak to the food because I didn't eat anything during my visit so this review is based off of the coffee and the ambiance as well as the service. The whole coffee flight concept is an awesome idea! Especially to coffee lovers who want to try more than one thing. A really, really solid idea that more places should pick up on. This is honestly what impressed me the most. Also, they're really creative about their coffee options. I love that there is a coquito latte, and initially that was what I was going to order but then I saw an iced nutella foam latte on there and that won my vote. I'm not really sure what i was expecting. It was beautifully presented and I love that it was not sweet, it was just right. The consistency however was more like a milkshake rather than an iced coffee and after having half of it I was already over it; its very rich. It's a small place with indoor and outdoor seating. I like that they have that Morro design inside just like in Puerto Rico. Service was friendly and timely. I do plan to come back again and try one of their sandwiches.

The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and the fries came out hot, which made it even better it definitely felt like everything was made to order. The inside has a really cute, old-school diner vibe that adds to the experience. It's a fun atmosphere and makes the visit feel a little different from your typical fast-casual spot. The service was also a highlight the young lady who took our order was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain menu options, which I appreciated. My only downside is the pricing. The items felt a bit on the higher side for what you get, so that's something to keep in mind if you plan to visit. Would I come back? Maybe but overall, it was still a great experience.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more First and foremost, this review is a collective of both my visit during the Yelp Week at four different Portillo's locations, mine being at Waterford Lakes, and my initial visit as a regular customer afterwards. Ergo, I will utilize the details for the Yelp Week that easily transfer to a regular visit, plus anything new I got through my second visit. For starters, this Portillo's is in a fantastic spot. If you haven't been to Waterford Lakes, it is a beautiful outdoor stripmall with many stores that are actually worth your time going into, not just store after store of clothing... though they do have some good options like Ross and Kohl's (latter is a "I believe it is there," but I know Ross is there). Upon coming up to Portillo's, you can tell it is that brand new genre of restaurant that is in-between fast food and fast casual. I don't even think it has a name yet. But if you've eaten at the new design for Chick-fil-a or at a Raising Cane's, you know it. Inside, Portillo's really leans on its Chicago roots with 1960s to 1970s silver trailer restaurant vibes, modernly updated. Imagine how those dive diners in the 60s and 70s were but with more technology, neon, and self-service commodities. For me, I have plenty of food here. Portillo's is known for their hot dogs so I had their jumbo chili cheese dog and Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage. I also got their breaded whitefish sandwich, beef and cheddar croissant, and cup of chili on its own. I will say the food, across the board, were all good. I thoroughly enjoyed the breaded whitefish sandwich as they actually make it thoroughly well. There are many places that do fried fish sandwiches in which the fish has been sitting in the freezer for too long and haven't been cooked thoroughly through. Ever bitten into a fish fillet and it is still wet, and sometimes slimy, on the inside? As mentioned earlier, this review is based on two visits. The Yelp Week was dine-in in which the service was great, Katherine was trained well and kept her cool whenever an issue arrisen, and the ambiance just fit the experience. My second time was through the drive-thru. What a below average experience that was. I must stress the staff was kind, but the fact that I had to look at the menu on one side of the building, drive around to the other side and make my order could be debilitating for those who don't have good memories. I wouldn't mind it so much, but isn't that the basic setup of drive-thru? What really got to me was how long it took Portillo's to make my order of two hot dogs and two sandwiches. The total was exactly 18 minutes from order start to finish. Wouldn't have been an issue but I was the only one in the drive-thru line at the time, and this was around 2 p.m. so there weren't that many patrons inside either. At least my food was wrapped securely to make sure nothing falls apart or spills. Ultimately, I am going to give this Portillo's location three-out-of-five stars for its review. I can't just shake the tantamount time it took for my drive-thru order to be made during stretch of downtime while being the only vehicle in said drive-thru. All I know is that I could possibly remedy that time if I take the time to order online or actually come down and order indoors There seems to be emphasize treating the indoor customers over the drive-thru.
