Great cafe con lechce! The Cuban sandwich was surprisingly very good!!! Very clean place!

Customer Service is everything, especially when the establishment is in the wrong. I placed a large order via pick up for $33 worth of food and a drink. I wanted an ICED cafe con leche so I paid a dollar extra for it because that's what the Vicky Bakery online order website says I need to pay for an iced cafe con leche. My husband goes in to pick up our order and notices the print out with my name and order where it clearly shows an iced coffee and yet, there's a hot coffee sitting there. So he nicely asks if they could fix it because that's not what we ordered and paid for and Sofia is not too happy about it and tells my husband we didn't pay for an iced coffee... so he shows her the receipt on the counter by the drink and she says "oh that's just a note." So he shows her the online receipt where it clearly shows we paid extra for it, to which she responds " it's all wrong, it should be 40 cents more". Since when is it the customers fault that your website is incorrect? you made me a hot coffee when it clearly shows I wanted and paid for iced because of 40 cents? And then my husband even offers to pay the stupid 40 cents. After a back and forth with my husband , she remade it and told my husband to forget the difference. Apparently a small iced cafe con leche isn't an option? If so, why make it available on the website? You lost a regular customer over 40 cents. Everyone is stressed and tired over the pandemic, no one was giving you a hard time just asking for a wrong to be corrected. Fix the prices on your website if you are going to continue to offer that as a way for customers to place orders. read more

I love this place. It's a Hispanic bakery and full of yummy goodies. I didn't see GF or DF options so beware. They are famous for their pastelitos. The guava is to die for. I have also ordered catered items for party and they never disappoint. Recently I found out they can ship the pastelitos in case you have family out of town with a craving. read more

I would never have stumbled into this Vicky Bakery location if it were not for the guy standing on the street corner spinning the sign and pointing into this plaza! Goes to show that this marketing technique works! I have not gone into Vicky bakery in a long time and this was my first time at this one located on the Southeast corner of Miramar parkway and Flamingo Road. It was very nicely decorated and even at 2pm on a Wednesday, they had a good crowd come in (after-lunch crowd I guess?). I came in for some pastries and a coffee and I was happy to see that there was still a good selection of pastries left in the case. I ordered 3 chicken empanadas, 2 guava pastries, 2 cream cheese pastries and a colada to-go. My bill came up to be a few cents over $11. Even though there was a line of about 3 people ahead of me, service was quick and efficient. When it comes to Cuban pastries I am very easy to please, so I was happy with most of my order. My only comment is that the chicken empanada filling included raisins.... This was my first time encountering raisins in an empanada. It was pretty off putting for me. Because chicken empanadas are the one thing I always include in my order at Cuban bakeries, this is a deal breaker for me. Personally, the only reason I would come back to this bakery would be to pick up some coffee if I were in the area. Made a quick stop to this local bakery and everything was delicious. I had a chance to taste the café con leche, pan de bono, beef pastelito, chicken pastelito, and the guava and cheese pastry. New Vicky, very organized and polite staff. The pastelitos are by far the best in South Florida. We come here for the usual dessert and coffee. And this time for a large party order. The sandwiches were delicious. Everything flew at the party always a fan favorite. FYI order 100 guava not 50 people will legit stand in front of the tray and Not let any other people eat. read more

The food is always great. They have music playing and you sit outside to enjoy your coffee and pastry.

The food is amazing, but their service is horrible. Beware, if you like to order ahead, you'll have to wait in the long line anyways to ask for your order since they keep it behind the counter and they don't have anyone else designated to give you your online order. This has happened 3 out of 3 times so far. And after you get through the line, the food will be cold. read more

The coffee comes out perfect every single time. The croquetas are always fresh and the empanadas are nice and meaty. This is one of those places where you can go grab a quick breakfast and the food comes out good 100% of the time. The line goes really fast, I've been there about 50 times and I don't think I have ever spent more than 5 minutes in the shop. If it's really busy, you might have to wait 2-3 minutes for your coffee but it's always good. read more

I was so excited to finally eat a cheese tequeño as I haven't had one in a long time. My boyfriend went this morning to go get us breakfast and a tequeño. As soon as I took a bite I realized it was completely raw. The dough was super sticky and not cooked whatsoever, this is coming from someone who bakes on a daily bases so I know a thing or two. Stopped by after a doctor appointment. Ordered two croqueta preparada and a pan con bistec and a breakfast. This was at 10:58 this morning. Came home, maybe 10 mins away and began eating. So far so good. Until about half way through one where there was a smell. I thought it was something else because it couldn't be my food I had just purchased. Imagine my surprise when i was WRONG and It was my croqueta preparada. Apparently either the chopped pork or the croqueta had gone bad. Needless to say I threw what was left of one and the whole other one away. Just took some alka seltzer to soothe my stomach and hope it doesn't get worst. read more

Growing up in Miami, eating breakfast at a Vicky Bakery every Sunday was the highlight of my week. There was nothing better than fresh Cuban bread, hot croquettas, and pastelitos to enjoy with the family. I had to make a pitstop at this specific location because my sister had just given birth a couple days before; running on no sleep and naturally being Cuban, she needed her cafe Cubano and tostada to keep her going! Upon walking in, it was like no Vicky Bakery I had ever seen. Since I'm normally closer to the older establishments, this was like walking into a new age Vicky Bakery, and I LOVED it! I had a little trouble finding the place, but they explained where they were located over the phone with patience! When I finally got there the smell of fresh cafe Cubano and tostada in the air was so nostalgic. The service was awesome as well. It seemed like the person who helped me at the counter was either the manager or the owner, and he was SO NICE! My go-to items are the tostada with butter, pastelito de carne, and the cafe con leche! Growing up in Hialeah, Vicky's Bakery was a thing for our family. The question for us was it consistent as a chain now that's it's grown. I'm happy to report that this Cuban believes it is. The pastries were warm, flaky, and full. We had guava and guava and cheese. It's a cool place to grab a little something and work or have a decent lunch. They have ham free options for vegetarian friends, and I was happy to pick up a vegan empanada for the wife. She said it "wasn't bad", but wasn't anything to write home about either. It consisted of some type of quinoa and black bean mixture. We were happy to see at least they were giving the lifestyle an option to choose from. read more

Placed an order on Wednesday, asking for it to be ready on Sunday at noon. Prepaid it so there would not be any delays as this place gets packed. Went on Sunday at 12:20am to pick up my order. I left at 12:45pm with only half of the order because the rest was not ready. This has happened twice to me. In less than 2 months!!! This is how you loose long time customers!!! I called to place an order so I didn't have to wait the long line and because I was paying cash, they didn't give me my order and didn't accept the cash unless I did the long line that was going outside of the front door. If I wanted to wait the long line, I would've never ordered ahead. They should implement a new system for phone orders. read more

I don't eat anything there, since I'm vegan, but I bought pastries for an event and they seemed to have been eaten pretty quickly. So I will say they have tasty stuff. The decor is awesome! Very detailed, something I would want if I had my own cafe. So kudos to the person that decorated. There is outdoor seating, so it's dog-friendly! Why did I only give it 4 Stars? Because of the unorganized wait. As soon as you walk in, they have numbers for you to pull. But they don't go by that. Instead, there are people standing everywhere and you have to remain vigilant to make certain no one skips you! I'd like to see them become more organized! read more

I tried their guava pastelito, cheese croquette, spinach and cheese pastry, tuna sandwich, guava juice, and Cuban coffee! Every single one of the things I tried was delicious! My favorite was the guava pastelito!!! It was soooo good that I came back the next day to get more but the store was closed. I would definitely recommend everyone to try their guava pastelito! I always come to this location one weekend a month in the morning before going to visit my family at very beach. I come to get trays of guava pastelitos and it has never been an issue. I always get my trays and get going. Today the cashier told me that I cannot do this and that i need to order ahead of time. I asked to speak to someone else because i always do it and it has never been an issue. The other lady said that she could not do that because they were understaffed as if their staffing issues were my fault. As far as i am concerned, the customer gets what they order despite staffing conditions. I went to the vicky bakery on pembroke pines and they didn't refuse my order when i walked in. I will be going to the pembroke location from now on. Afterall my little sister will be having her birthday pastelitos NOT THANKS to the miramar location. read more

This has to be the best looking Vicky bakery in the chain. The interior is beautiful and Very trendy. This bakery doesn't feel like a Cuban bakery. You feel like you are in a fancy French bakery. The pastries and cakes are very well presented and look delicious. The prices of the sandwiches and pasteles are very low but the pastries can be a little pricey. However, the other Vicky bakeries do make better coffee and sandwiches. Very cool place to come, have coffee, and hang out. read more

Look at the pictures I posted for proof of this review! We have been before and have had good pastelitos. However things changed today when my dad brought home a box full of pastelitos that were old, hard, dry stale and one even had a spot of mold on it!!!!!!! It seem they got lazy or didn't want to be wasteful and just kept everything they made from thanksgiving (possibly made too much and didn't end up selling) and have been reselling them 4 days later! I am so disappointed in the quality and will never buy from that Vicky bakery ever again!!! If I could give 0 stars I would! They should be disappointed in selling a product like that to local customers especially a pregnant women that could get sick from old moldy pastelitos!!! read more

On my way out of Kohl's (on Miramar Pkwy and Flamingo), I found myself with a sweet tooth and decided to try this Cuban bakery conveniently located in the same shopping plaza. I initially ordered a Cafe con Leche, a slice of Cuban cake, and 2 guava and cheese pastries. After looking at my receipt and realizing that the pastries were half off (after 6pm), I ordered croquetas to-go for my hubby (4 ham and 2 cheese). I was not impressed with the Cuban cake by any means - it was overcooked and I definitely wouldn't attempt to order it again.  The guava and cheese pastries, on the other hand, were spectacular - they were nice and warm, flaky, and had a plentiful filling of guava/cheese. I ordered rum cake which I tasted at party and it was great! However, when I got my rum cake, there was no rum in the cake. While the supervisors/managers (Nos and Mabel) were apologetic and good about the mishap, it was still disappointing. Their vanilla rum cake is really good and I was looking for to having it on my birthday. I'm giving two stars for forgetting the rum in my cake and misspelling my name. Despite the mishap, the plain vanilla cake was good and decoration was pretty. Customer service was good. Again, Nos and Mabel were apologetic and professional. I was fully refunded. Didn't have anything we wanted and we were there at 5pm and food looked rough. We had to leave Miami with no pastelitos, bocadillos, or a brazo gitano. The bocadillos were $7 a piece and the size of my palm, which I will say is small- I'm 5'1 and the pastelitos were smaaaaaaaalllll! It also was hard to find. We were going in circles in the parking lot for at least 15 min. There's barely a sign on the building and nothing from the road. Underwhelming and insatiate Decided to go to Vicky's for empanadas before work. The line was sightly long but it moved quickly. I ordered two empanadas: beef and ham and a cup for freshly squeezed OJ. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. I went to take a bite out of my first empanada and noticed it was cold. Terrible service. Walked in at 3 pm to get a cake. Held the door open for customers to walk out and as soon as we walked in the girls yelled out saying they are closed. Meanwhile, online it says that the bakery closes at 4 pm. I called and the employee said oh that's probably another bakery we are closed. Interesting. Maybe you should stay open until you're really supposed to stay open or maybe you should actually update the time online you are open until. Even if you were actually closed at 3 pm the door was open the least you could have done was still let us buy the damn cake because it does not say you close at 3 pm nor did you close the door. I've worked in customer service and if someone walks in and you're closed you go out of your way to service the customer. Come on now #basics read more
