I stopped in here on my way home and it did not disappoint. I got some empanadas to try, the spinach and cheese was my favorite. Very good filling and I'm not sure but I think they bake them so they aren't greasy which is amazing! The cheese bread was also soooo good, really subtle cheesy flavor and fluffy bread, I could eat them all day. And the other standout was the mango rice pudding- YUM. It was very mango forward which was what I wanted and not overly sweet. They have plenty to pick from here and I'll for sure be back to try other things. I really wanted to like this place. I didn't realize it was a Cuban bakery. Which made me excited to try it. It was too late for me to get a coffee so I tried a wide range of their desserts. I got a macadamia nut cookie, a chocolate cake pop a fruit vanilla tart. And a chocolate doughnut. They told me the chocolate doughnut was frozen and they could heat it up for me which I agreed to. We got in the car to eat our desserts and unfortunately, they gave me the wrong cookie, but we're kind enough to exchange it. That is the extent of the what's good about this place. All the desserts were overcooked, stale, or just wasn't good. Cake pop fell apart and was mushy in a bad way. The doughnut was overcooked not fresh. Unfortunately, it's a beautiful clean affordable bakery. Just no flavor. I was tempted to give this place three stars in hopes that at least their Coffee is good but since I didn't try it, I wouldn't know. read more

I popped in on the way home to get surprise treats for my family and I. I have driven by numerous times and decided it was time to make a visit. It's bigger than what I thought it was going to be inside and the service was quick. The pastries I got were the Napoleon Dulce de Leche, bread pudding, chocolate eclair, and caramel eclair. I got a chicken croquette to have with my lunch yesterday. Everything was delicious and we were able to split the pastries in nice size portions. read more

Beautiful store and beautiful displays of Cuban pastries. The staff were very nice and friendly. The disappointment was we ordered at 7am $70 worth of coffee and pastries. We immediately started eating them in the car for our 4 hour drive home. All the pastries were not fresh. The cafe con leche not enough coffee. We eat at their Orlando location. Never had it this bad. Being first customers walking through their doors should be fresh food. read more

Got an empanada & pastry togo to try it out since we had such a bad experience at the one in royal palm. It was room temp, which was already a turn off. It tasted good even being room temp. (Thank god we didn't get food poisoning from this one.) The food kept moving so that probably helps keep things a bit more fresh. I won't go back. It lacks anything special. I've gone here twice, two days in a row. The first time, yesterday, I got two cake pops and 3 pastries and my total was $10. Today, I got two cake pops, two pastries and one small coffee and my total was $17. Both times they got my pastries wrong. One thing that is not helpful is that the inside of the cases has a reflective coating so instead of being able to see the employee pointing at which pastry you want, you instead see yourself. I will say it's very clean and they are very friendly, but I can't imagine why the totals were so wildly different two days in a row and why I couldn't get the pastries I ordered. We were greeted by the welcoming staff and ordered the guava/cheese, coconut, and guava only pastries along with iced and hot coffee. Their coffee is top tier and you can tell it's fresh and sourced from good quality coffee beans. The pastries were great as well and were warm when we got them. There was plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside as well. Definitely more seating than the Boca location. Parking is also available with no issues. My mom & I have gone to Vicky's Bakery 4 or 5 times. On each visit we have gotten pastelito de carne. The first time it had sufficient meat. Since then the meat was barely existed. Cafe con leche was good. S'mores cookie delicious. But not worth the cost to be disappointed. read more

We went on a Thursday night at 6pm, mostly empty and the girl that took our order forgot to get our pastries. Came here a few weeks after their grand opening they have a great selection on food they open really early, which is good.

What a disappointment! My husband and I decided to stop by around 3 PM on a Saturday afternoon. I was so excited to give it a try as I knew the history of Vicky's and noticed they kept opening up near me. Upon entry everything looked beautiful and so yummy! We spent about $27 on two drinks, 4 croquettas , 2 guava pastelitos, and 1 mini flan. The croquettas tasted overly fried, and I'm not sure whether I was served ham or just cheese. The mini flan was lopsided, and seemed to have started to fall apart. The flavor of it was good, but it was overly mushy and did not have the consistency of a traditional flan. The guava pastries were good, although they had a sticky glaze on the top of them that kept sticking to the roofs of our mouths. Living in South Florida there are many authentic and delicious Cuban bakeries and restaurants around( like Tropical Bakery or Delicias) so spend your money elsewhere!! read more

I am a big fan of Cuban sandwiches and since a key component of them is the bread, I figured this would be worth a try. The place is brand new, clean and has a very welcoming staff. I ordered my sandwich and waited for it, drooling over the vast array of cakes, pastry and more. While waiting I mentioned it was my first time there and the manager offered a free ham croquet to try while I waited. It was really delicious and something for a future visit. I just stopped by the new Northlake store and was looking for a good bakery. I ordered a cinnamon roll. They brought it out of the freezer compartment, and I asked if they could warm it. They graciously warmed it. I went to eat it in my car, and it was still cold and STALE. I wasted my money. I noticed that the owners do not respond to reviews, which suggests they do not care.
