Another amazing experience at Vicki Morav. This time, I was in need of a serious facial after too many sunburns. Zakia stepped up to the challenge. And did not disappoint. Although I kept apologizing for all the work she'd have to do on me, she cheerfully and thoroughly went through every spot on my face and was genuinely thrilled (along with me) when she saw the before and after. She was so polite and professional, knew when to talk, when to be quiet, when to preview a service...just really spot on. And let's talk about the overall space. I neglected to bring them up in during my previous experience. The spa is a duplex building on 71st and Madison. When I've visited providers in this neighborhood, the interior is usually lacking. After all, it's a high rent area so you have to save somewhere. But, I kid you not when I tell you that every square foot of this oasis is gorgeous. Everything looks new - beautiful wood floors, tasteful design, and overall warmth and comfort throughout. I love that it seems like Vicki has truly invested not only in her therapists and friendly receptionist, but on the facility and equipment. Truly amazing. Maybe at one point Vicki Morav was a reputable spa with integrity but now it's nothing more than a scam ripping off the Madison Ave elite. The facials are sub par and very expensive ( Upper west spa, or Rescue Spa provide much better facials) My experience here was less than desirable. my appointment had to be broken up into two days as I my esthetician fell ill and they couldn't accommodate my original appointment. I went in for an infrared sauna before my service that was barely warm. I was given no robe and very little instruction just thrown in a room... my aesthetician was very kind, but the services I was provided didn't match the price list. I knew what Facial I wanted so I asked for it specifically. I'm not a moron. I know how these places work. The morning of my next service I woke up with the flu. I contacted the Spa and let them know I was running a fever. I told them I understood I'd likely have to pay for the service I'd be missing. Of course, I understand that the Esthetician would need to be paid. These things happen. They charged me an additional fee above and beyond what my service would cost and then notified me that they made an error the day before, and they'd be charging me for that as well ( they didn't charge me for the lukewarm Sauna at first) Emma the manager was incredibly condescending and abrasive. Very rude. Really one of the worst interactions I've had in a long time. I feel incredibly insulted. And Embarrassed. My recommendation is without a doubt spend your money elsewhere. When I arrived at their location, I was blown away by the most sophisticated design and how the place was super spotless. Donika took me to her room, where she analyzed my skin, cleaned my pores super well, and also gave a Biologique triple lift treatment that instantly lifted and toned my skin. I've been ordering products from Vicki's site online for a while but heard so many amazing things about her treatments so i decided to finally try a facial. I had a biologique recherche lift treatment done with Donika and it was one of the most amazing treatments I've had. After the treatment my skin was contoured and toned and the difference was incredible. She explained to me that this machine is like a workout for your face so the more treatments you have done the more your muscles will adjust. This is the first time I've done this treatment and can't believe how well it actually works. I will definitely be going back and I'm so happy i finally found my new go-to for facials. read more

My gf and I have been ordering products from Vicki for quite soon time. They are amazing especially hen it comes to customer service, providing recommendations and samples of luxury European skincare. My gf heard about their spa and decided it would be great for me to try the spa as a gift. We did find it interesting that the prices werent listed, that's usually a red flag. I called and found out that pricing isnt listed because they are more old fashioned, they create personal treatments and go from there however, it mostly starts from $180. I figured, ok maybe with some custom add-on, maybe it will all come to 250 or so. The idea of a personalized facial was interesting so she pushed me to accept an appt. Got there, was greeted by receptionist and Donika. Got in with Donika, she looked over my skin, we talked a bit then I got stripped down and under the towels ready for the facial, she then mentioned how the facial would be almost 3x the price I was told over the phone, she listed all sorts of treatments yada yada, stunned by all it and the fact that I was already set to go not to mention the time I took from work and money to get into the city I just agreed anyway. Donika talked to me about various products and things I should do about my skin etc, asked questions. I will say she was personable but eventually out of exhaustion I was in and out of sleep but I did notice not much was said about the steps or products used on me. I eventually woke up to a collagen mask and Vitamin C serum being placed on my face. Some products massaged into my neck and décolletage, then finished Btw I did mentioned that my skin was kind of irritated around my brows because I had my brows threaded about 3 days ago and I expected that part to be treated gently, but the microdermabrasion machine was used there and extracted were also attempted on that area.. Anyway I left looking more greasy than glowy honestly, I was kicking myself for not bringing my shades with me. Donika also mentioned how I needed a facial cream and kinda pushed a cream Ive never heard but told would be the best for my slightly dehydrated skin. sigh My thing is with that amount of money, I would think I would get sunscreen added on top of the Vit C serum considering this facial was done in the morning. Also dropping pricing when one is already stripped and ready for a facial just doesnt seem right, should have been a short 5 min consult before anything is prepared and stripped down to look at the person's facial issues and then tell them then and there what would be best, how much and why. You live and learn I guess. Also this cream, the amount for that ream, I would have been better off with Vernix or large size of VIP O2 cleanser because so far Ive given it about a week and it doesnt provide much hydration to me. There's no real difference to my face after everything, the slight thread irritation got a bit worse and darker because of the dermabrasion that was one over it Staff and everyone were very nice (including Vicki who greeted me warmly after my facial in between her own clients) but I just dont feel that the facial was worth the price. I will just stick to ordering products that work for me from now on (if they let me after this review lol) because again they have never failed us in that area especially when we had questions about products and requested samples before buying full size. read more
