Vicious Biscuit - Benedict Benny and side of grits - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

Very ambitious and tasty menu for a spin on biscuits and traditional southern cuisine. Staff is soo friendly, that they make Chick Fil-a seem indifferent If going for Sunday brunch, the life hack is to go at 2:30, and you get right in. While the prices are VERY reasonable, it's awesome that they still offer discounts for military and law enforcement. read more

Up until this morning I could "Viciously" protest that I am NOT a biscuit fan....up until this morning. A friend treated me to breakfast, and I was leaning toward the beignets until I saw the Sausage gravy biscuit. I thought, "What the heck. I will try it." I am not disappointed. In fact I am blown away. This is by far the best biscuit and gravy I have ever had in my life, and I have been around awhile. Keep up the great work. You have converted a biscuit hater to a biscuit lover, as long as it's from Vicious Biscuit. Thank you!! read more

Service was amazing, every single person went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. Food was out of this world

Food was good, but the outstanding service from aubri made my experience so much better

Wow! This place is amazing. I had the Gravy Train with a side of bacon. I did not need the bacon because it had a piece of sausage inside the biscuit. The service was great and very friendly. But, I must mention the ambience of the restaurant. Just plain fabulous. It's witty, sharp, and cheerful. I love this food. read more

I like the atmosphere and the customer service is excellent. The food is made to order and the pancakes are awesome. This is some of the best bacon I've had in SC. read more

The food was delicious! Wasn't a fan of a seasonal iced coffee but their regular lattes are good. Highly recommend if you don't mind a bit of a wait in line. read more

Very Good! Lively atmosphere, line moved quickly even though it was almost out the door. The bird and Belgian was good, I wasn't able to finish it. The shrimp and grits were good, I would get them at a future visit. The grits with pimento cheese were awesome! But the beignets..... the beignets were the winner. Presentation, ambiance, customer service, all were top notch on a busy Saturday morning. read more

Their biscuits are fabulous but so is the rest of the food. They were busy and forgot my bacon.

We went here for lunch this morning. I ordered huevos rancheros, and my wife ordered a Seabiscuit. My huevos rancheros was great perfectly cooked eggs, nicely, flavored, black beans, pico de gallo, avocado slices and a nice sauce. The Seabiscuit had very good crispy shrimp with a nice sweet sauce and red cabbage. Both were excellent. Service was quick, great selections! Highly recommend this place! read more

I would've gotten everything off the menu if I could everything looked and sounded amazing. This was the best biscuit sandwich I've ever had!!! Everything about it was so flavorful and rich. The biscuit was baked perfectly and had a nice buttery taste with it. Drove from Myrtle beach for a day trip and this will definitely be my first stop when I come back! Great service and amazing food read more

Vicious Biscuit - These - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

I love breakfast but finding fresh, hot breakfast that is delicious and not just old reliable classics is hard. This spot does just that. There was a bit of a line. And the location kinda feels like a tiny Dennys. It was slighty crowded and there was a line but it moved quickly we ordered and sat down and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time.. FINALLY GREAT BISCUITS!!! But Everything we ordered was great. The sweet potato waffle, the chicken, the chefdar jalepeno biscuit, the shrimp & grits biscuit... Im normally not a fan of ordering beignets or home fries because they tend to taste like a cardboard box but not this time! Arthur let us know the food is fresh and he handmade the beignets! His beignets were great and his attitude made them even better! I even came back a time or two or three.. if you like Biscuits & Breakfast hands down the place to go. read more

Absolutely terrible. overpriced, waited for over an hour and a half to get our food, and it was cold. Nobody at the table enjoyed any of their food, and for 3 people it was $70 for fucking biscuits. There was also nowhere to sit while you waited for a table to open up. read more

This is our first time here and we just came to just try the biscuits! The biscuits were dense and flavorful. It takes some work to eat them but they were good. I enjoyed the butter bar too. The service is where this place really shines. The staff were so great and kind. They explained the menu, made recommendations, and checked in frequently. The space was busy, but remained clean and organized. read more

First time at Vicious Biscuit--excellent experience. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Had the Vicious Benny and was impressed on the deep flavor of the smoked ham. Their coffee (nice coffee bar) is very good--I took a cup to go. Overall-this is a great addition to the growing breakfast scene in Columbia. I predict much success. read more

I'll start by saying the food itself wasn't bad. My group got the "Vicious", "Animal Farm", "Crab Benny", and "Sweet Puppies". All were very good (highly recommend the sweet puppies). What I have an issue with is the service. It took an hour and a half to get food on the table and one of our people's dishes came out after everyone else had finished their food. The servers were clueless running around inside and outside with the same food or drink items multiple times, and our server wasn't even sure what the different between a mimosa and a bloody mary is. Food is good overall but if you want any level of decent service and timing then I would go on a weekday. read more

A bit hit or miss depending on the day. I've had some great biscuit sandwiches, but also ones where the chicken is overcooked and/or the order incorrect. Portions are large and filling. It is a good place to grab a quick breakfast, but for the best meal try to arrive when they are not too busy. read more

The Forest Dr store is nice, with lots of indoor/outdoor seating and very clean, and a good amount of parking too. The hard rock music was a tad loud at 7 am but that is a personal feeling, not a criticism. The staff were upbeat and helpful all around. The food was good! I've been back twice...the fried green tomatoes were crunchy and well seasoned and came with a side of ranch. You can order individual slices rather than a full appetizer! (the appetizer comes with pimento cheese and I think okra) The "custom bowl" I made had grits, fried chicken, eggs, and cheddar cheese - generous portion size and a good deal price wise.. I even tried a side biscuit to try the butter and jelly bar - fluffy, nice size, and most importantly well baked/baked through. The standout accompaniment for me was the maple burbon butter, but regular butter (fluffy and easy to spread) and the variety of jams were nice to try. And of course GOOD coffee to wash it down! Great addition to the area and will definitely be back again! read more

I tried this restaurant today and it was an amazing experience. The food was great and very satisfying I couldn't eat all of my food, the portions were ample. The atmosphere was pretty cool enough seating on the inside and perfect amount on the outside for warmer weather. The service was really quick from the time you ordered and receive your food. read more

Never again! My wife and I waited in line to place an order like usual. Sit at a table and waited 1 hour for our biscuits to be brought to us. When I took a bite of my chicken biscuit, the chicken was not even warm! When I asked to speak to the manager, the waitress said he was aware. Will never go back again! read more

There is definitely a wait so go with the intention of a line and a wait for food, but it's SO WORTH IT! The staff was attentive, quick, and worked so hard for the large crowd. The food is THE BEST! We're from TX and I think this beats anything we've had in TX. I opted for a healthier option and it blew my mind! Everything was great, there was 5 of us and we all got something different and all of us enjoyed it. read more

This place has always packed so be ready for a wait. It is 1,000% worth it! Sorry I don't have a picture but I give this place an 11 out of 10 read more

Friendly helpful staff, and great variety of food, tasty and a great value. I went there for the first time after hurricane Helene because the power was off and the restaurant was highly recommended. The atmosphere was welcoming, I placed my order and I observed the owner lead his staff by example with his friendliness and personable character as he made rounds to chat with his customers at their tables and the ones in line waiting to place their orders. The food was fresh and delicious and was served with warmth. Great customer service from the whole team!! I have revisit since then and I saw the staff working quickly to turn the tables and made ready to accommodate line of customers that was outside the door and along the side of the building. I have to say that the food remains fresh and delicious with great customers service. read more

I would give it a 2.5. I think going on a busy day was not in my favor but everything was so doughy and bland. The fat boy biscuit was good but lacked a lot. I ate it but wont be my first pick for biscuits. The customer service was good considering it was very busy. read more
