Yikes!! Went to a lady named Jessica I left crying my hair was so messed up. I asked for a balayage and showed her a few pictures. It was completely not what I asked for she put highlights at my roots?? I had teal at the end of my hair prior to coming in I expected a color correction and at the end I had orange, bronze and pink highlights. She did a cut which came out blocky!!!!! With green tips. I'm not one to complain but I called her within an hour of leaving and she got so defensive I just wanted it fixed. Called management and no answer had to cut my losses paid another hair salon to cover up the mistakes and forgot to tell you my cut was horrible. Layers were messed up and had to cut my long hair, another salon fixed that as well. It was a nightmare!! If I could post pic on here I would not sure how. Do not see Jamie unless you want your hair fried. Jamie is supposedly a color specialist at Vibes Salon in Roseville and citrus heights. (The black extensions should have been my first clue). Jamie works only by appointment and is VERY expensive; it cost me nearly $$$400 for a senior stylist at The Emporium to fix my wifes hair!!!! I go to Jenny at Vibes to get my hair done and this time we put in purple extensions. She did a great job, they look great and I get compliments all the time. They are subtle, yet pop, which is exactly what I wanted. Also my 13 year old wanted fun colors in her hair and wanted to see if she could do a rainbow, so Jenny put in different colored extensions, that way her hair looks cool, and she can change it later if she wants. I saw Elena for a cut & color. I am not very decisive & she helped me immensely. She blended a custom color to compliment my skin tone & actually had to blend two custom colors to match because my outgrown roots were natural & the bulk of my hair had been previously dyed. I get compliments on my hair all the time and people always ask if the color is natural (though she will do unnatural if that is your thing). She is also easy to talk to & friendly! I was VERY happy when I left! I have tried many stylists before and am usually left unimpressed. I finally found someone I will continue to go back to! I highly recommend her! read more

My wife just got her hair cut today around 1pm by a stylist named RAY. And well its not even a hair cut. im sure he shortened it but it looks nothing like what was asked for. she asked for a "bob" and he just wasn't confident enough to do the job but did the job anyway. he kept asking questions which clearly a professional shouldn't be asking as their the artist that's doing the work not the client. so hair was just trimmed no styling, she came home a mess hair still not combed/wet/blocky/and uneven. read more

I had my hair colored at vibes for the first time today. Not only did Heather squeeze me in last minute she did an amazing job on my disaster of a hair. I made the typical mistake of box dying my hair and then had to rush to get it fixed. I had blonde hair that was supposed to be dyed "dark blonde" but the box dye turned it dark brown. I am so happy I found Vibes Salon. :-) My experience was amazing! The salon was cute, cozy, clean and in a convenient location. The parking was easy. The staff was friendly. Ray is truly a master stylist. He really took his time during the consult to listen, explain and ensure that I received the style I desired. By the way, I am picky and have very thick hair. Visited Jillian again, really I won't go to anyone else -- she's a true cosmo. This time we went with a strawberry blonde and she did a stunning job. Looks naturally, it's not pink or weird. So far I have received a ton of compliments -- but this too is not surprising . She spent 4 hours on my hair, made me feel like a rockstar! Her rates are off the hook, cut, two colors, and style = my rate $60 + tip (I don't know if this is a frequent flyer discount cause I see her every 6 weeks or so), regardless she's reasonable and talented. I have been going to Sandy since I was a teenager and she does an absolutely amazing job! She works with a high level of integrity. For example I remember when I wanted my hai dyed and I wanted a lot of it but she did not give me a lot in fear that too much could ruin my hair so it was a gradual process. When she trims your hair she does not cut off a lot but if you want a lot cut off she can do that to. She does not overbook so when your appointment is at a certain time you can be certain that you will be in your chair at your appointment time. read more

I found Alex Smith from Vibes Salon about a year ago on yelp. Being a guy I never thought it made much of a difference where you get your haircut, so I was surprised when I started getting compliments all the time after haircuts from Alex! I've been to all haircutting chains and many salons, but nobody has spent as much time making sure my haircut is perfect every time. The man is talented and obviously knows what he's doing.
