Usually I can't stand getting my hair cut. I'm super awkward around people I don't know and am very indecisive. I was pleasantly surprised here though, my stylist, Laura, was very easy to talk to and took me saying that 'I genuinely don't know what I want done rather then a dye and a cut,' at face value. She asked for my input on things, somethings I wanted, which she did, and other things I was indifferent to which she worked out anyway, and I love how my hair turned out. I also didn't experience the tense atmosphere that another reviewer was talking about, maybe there are just new people. I loved listening to the employee interactions and they seemed to all be very friendly with the clients and each other. I'll definitely be going here again. read more

Abeille Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Roseville, California

A few weeks ago, I had an appointment with a stylist that didn't pan out. Long story short, I ended up leaving this salon after waiting 25 minutes for my stylist to arrive. That's a different review I had written and have since resolved. If you are interested, you can find it on my list of reviews. However, the issue I have with this salon is, had anyone reached out to properly greet me (A new customer) when I initially arrived, it might have made waiting less painful. It may have been the difference between me staying a few extra minutes for my stylist to arrive and not feeling like I wasted my time coming there. I felt so uncomfortable and wondering wth is going on. But still, I waited being the eternal optimist that I am. It took at least 25 mins for anyone to finally ask, have you been helped?? Are you kidding me? By then, I was just feeling slighted. Poor customer service and a BIG two thumbs down for this place of business. read more

I had been on the hunt for a new salon for some time. I used to have to drive an hour to get my hair done because I am a loyal, well tipping, client. I was super excited when I found out there was a new salon opening up right next to my work. I watched it get built and I loved the decor! When it opened I made and appointment originally with the owner. I stopped in specifically that day because of her. She had cool hair and she looked like someone I would get along with. When it came time for my appointment, I walked in and learned I was going to see someone else. We will call her Schmebbie. Not the person I had booked the appointment with. I brushed this off as a new business mishap. When I met Schmebbie, my first thought was how young she was. Fresh out of school said her BS Cert. This concerned me a little, but I had convinced myself not to age discriminate. After meeting we discussed what I wanted. I am pretty easy. I asked her to do dark with blonde lights mixed in. She colored my hair and then sat me under the dryer for almost 20 minutes. I have never been under a dryer that long, but then again, I am not the hair expert either. As she was toning me, I was confused as to why she was taking so long to take the foil out. Again, I try to see the best in people and assumed she was just slow. After that she cut my hair and styled it. Then she offered me a complementary deep condition the next week. As you know, everybody looks great when they walk out of a salon. It is not until the next few days when I know if my hair looks good. A few days later, I began to notice A LOT of breakage and weird layers. I couldn't wait until the next week. I honestly thought that everything was normal. I hadn't gotten my hair bleached in a while and I had previously known it to be harsh on the hair. I figured the deep conditioning would help it a lot. The next week I walked in and she was available to condition my hair. Did I tell you how boring she was too? She barely talks. When I would try to spark conversation she was so dull I couln't stand listening to her. She conditioned my hair fine and I left. Kinda hard to screw that up I guess. Again a few days later, I knew she had done a number on my hair and I would have to find someone else to salvage it. After meeting with my new AWESOME stylist, I learned exactly what she had done to ruin my otherwise healthy hair. Dumb Schmebbie had fried my hair with the bleach and dyer. She "toned" me for so long because she was realizing she messed up and MY HAIR WAS FALLING OUT. Then she gave me a totally stupid cut to hide the breakage. She gave me 2 cuts. A bowl top with weird layers, then a mullet. It was horrible. I was so very sad. I was trying to grow my hair long. I wanted to be able to get out of the shower with my long locks and have them cover my bewbies. After learning how that Schmebbie is a total tard and shady for covering her mistake instead of manning up, I was forced to cut my hair short and dye it a normal color for a while to try and save my hair. I give this place a big Schmebbie thumbs down from start to finish. Sad too! I thought it may have had potential. So much for dreams of long bewbie covering hair for a very long time. I had found a good deal to get the Brazilian blowout for my hair, but I was very disappointed with my experience. I have gotten the Brazilian multiple times before this at another salon and was very pleased with the outcome-very straight hair and silky smooth, and that's sure not how this came out. I made an appointment with Shelby to get my hair done but she texted me (I don't find this very professional, and not to mention the extremely poor grammar she used) several times to change my appointment around. Even the day of the appointment she asked me to come in several hours later than I was supposed to- I work and go to school full time and I can't just drop everything and change my schedule like that. When I went in, the salon seemed nice but I didn't feel like she was very professional at all, and the process took a noticeably shorter amount of time than it normally would. I went home and when I washed my hair, it was TOTALLY wavy. She said I could come in again to redo it but completely blamed it on my hair, saying that it just wasn't taking the product and she couldn't straighten it-I have gotten the Brazilian before and it was stick straight, so I knew that was not the case. Not to mention the fact that this salon is 30 minutes from my house and I had to drive there twice and change my schedule. Bottom line, I do not recommend this salon because of it's lack of professionalism and quality of work. read more

My review is strictly based on feather extensions. This is the third salon I have been in to get some feather extensions and I believe I am a fan of this place when it comes to feathers. They have tons of different feathers to choose from, ranging from skinny to fat, from dark to super bright feathers. I love it! I came in here getting to get some new feathers in my hair, as well as a pink extension for my hair to support breast cancer. The employee who did my extensions was very friendly. Even though it doesn't take a while to put feathers in your hair, she still conversed with me, which was nice =) She actually knew what she was doing and she placed the bead perfectly on my head (normally they place it pretty low so it comes off pretty fast). Since my hair is short my feathers were only $5 and the pink extension is $8, which I think is worth it. The salon itself was pretty nice. The employees were friendly and make you feel at home. I'm very satisfied and will definitely be back for more =) read more

Being in outside sales and relocating at least 6 times in the last 10 years, it is very hard to find a good stylist that can cut mens my hair well that I am satisfied with. I found Abeille Salon about a year and a half ago and haven't found it necessary to go anywhere else. From the first time in Breanna's chair until today, I have been extremely satisfied with every cut. Breanna's over all confidence while cutting my hair shows through her ability to do it right the first time, the way I like it, and all in about 20 minutes. If you are looking for the last mens's hair stylist that you will ever need, go to Abeille and ask for Brianna. I have paid other stylist big money to do what Breanna does for half the price and twice the quality. Thanks Breanna for one less thing that I have to worry about while doing my sales presentations. I called this salon in dire need of haircut to fix some super choppy layers that another stylist from a different salon had left me with. Thank goodness Leesi answered the phone and took me in at the last minute for an appointment because I am loving my new haircut!! Even though it was the end of the day and the salon had already closed she didn't rush my cut and even gave me a deep conditioning treatment which made a huge difference on my ends. Sam did my hair for my wedding on 10/6/13. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and is VERY good at what she does. I made an appointment with Laura to get my cork-screw curly hair relaxed and it was probably one of my best salon experiences! Laura is super sweet, easy to talk to and accommodating. She asked if I wanted something to drink (it sounds silly but she asked if I wanted ice or not which I appreciate since I don't like ice water) and as she was doing my hair she was very gentle and she kept asking if I was alright. And despite what one reviewer wrote I didn't find the atmosphere "catty" at all; in fact the stylists seemed to get along very well. Another stylist was nice enough to help Laura apply the relaxer because apparently I have pretty thick hair. Yes, the salon is quite expensive but it uses luxurious products. The relaxer felt thick and rich and even smelled great. My hair felt so soft and supple and was shiny and bouncy which I didn't expect since relaxers are so damaging! The process was long so if you have work or school do this on a off-day: my appointment began at 11am and I left at 2:45 (and that was only for about 5 inches of regrowth from my previously relaxed hair). This is because after the relaxer was applied my hair was shampooed, deep conditioned, blow dried, washed again, blow dried again then flat ironed lol. I had such a great time, I would love to go in for a haircut and another deep conditioning but I gotta save up money because as I said, its pricy. I would give it the full 5 stars but I took off 1 because they only use Paul Mitchell's The Relaxer Mild (it comes in mild, regular and super). My hair came out wavy and I was hoping it would be pin straight so what I needed was the regular formula. But I guess they don't get many clients with hair as curly as mine. read more
