So fun! I've only taken a few cycling classes ever, but this was my favorite! I did the 12pm Friday…read morecycle class with Tuesday as the instructor and she was awesome and had great energy! The theme was "Trap, Twerk, and Booty Werk" and the playlist did not disappoint! You know the class is gonna be hype when the first song is Beyoncé "Drunk in Love". Check in was so easy and everyone was really welcoming. At the time I went, the first class was $10. This location is small since it's Midtown. You can park in the Publix lot for free or do street parking. They do have lockers and restrooms to change, but I believe there are only 2 or 3 single person restrooms so I would just come already changed. I like how you don't have to pay extra to rent cycling shoes like some places. Once in the studio, there are people to help you get situated and get your bike adjusted and shoes clipped in, which was so helpful! The class is so fun that you don't even really feel like you're working out since there are lights and music videos. It's kinda like you went to the club and just happened to be getting an awesome work out in as well, haha. They have a leaderboard if you're the competitive type. And if you're not, then they only show it for like 5 seconds a few times during the class. They send you a progress report email after class to see how you did! I had a great experience at this studio and can't wait to take another class! Work out classes at studios can sometimes be awkward and intimidating but there is none of that at all here, which I really liked!

As part of our "try em all" approach, we booked at Vibe Ride for their first class of the day! Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the staff and quickly checked in! The team all helped us figure out the bike setup (different than what our home studios use) and we were on our way! Based on the friendliness of the instructor and the high energy from others, I was excited. As the class started, I was a bit shocked to see we were using music videos on YouTube as our music. Considering there are commercials/ ads and they wanted to skip certain parts of the song... it was a struggle. After a couple of songs and it not being anything like what I was used to (smoothly run, no breaks in music, etc), I was pretty checked out. I wanted to love this place from the staff and the vibes but my colleagues and I all left saying we wouldn't come back. The class seemed choppy with the YouTube use and the moves shown didn't always seem safe with the stability of these bikes. Unfortunately not a place for me but others did clearly love their experience.

Unfortunately, since I moved and am now a broke graduate student, I haven't had the time to consistently keep up with a studio. I've tried several studios around ATL and since Rukus was opening up a new studio near where I worked, I figured I would stop by during their grand opening. **They are offering classes for free this weekend and if you download their app, you can get an additional 4 classes for free!** Although the studio is located in Midtown, there is a parking garage behind the studio. A worker from the studio texted me the code for free parking a couple of hours before my class (you get an hour and half for free- plenty of time to get in and out). The studio is very clean and bright inside. They don't have locker rooms here, but instead have individual bathrooms with showers inside! The bathrooms are fully stocked with deodorant, razors, and even toothbrushes for you to use! They also provide free shoes for you to use as well. The shoes do run a little small - I had to get a full size up. Unfortunately, the shoes I usually use to cycle didn't work here so I had to borrow one of their shoes. I use a different clip-in system than Rukus does and couldn't get my shoes to clip-in. My clip-ins are a little old though, so I think I'll try again when I switch them out . Plus, thinking back, I think I was trying to clip them in the wrong side of the pedal, oops. Also, a very cool thing about this studio is that they have a separate (smaller) rooms with a couple of bikes. Apparently, if you come to class late, you can enter this room and either take a class through Peleton or join in on the current class through a live-feed. I thought this was very cool as there's nothing worse than showing up late and setting up your bike during class. I can easily see myself coming back to Rukus as it's close to my workplace (and I have 4 more rides to use -yay), but there are a couple of things that I didn't like. I think my bike was malfunctioning because the screen would randomly flash during class and it took a while for the gear number to change after I moved the gear knob. Also, the gear number would randomly change even if I didn't touch the knob - not sure what was up with that. The music was very loud so it made listening to the instructor very difficult. I do enjoy loud music when I cycle, but if I can't really hear the instructor, it kind of takes away from the experience. The instructor didn't really explain how the different zones worked on the television screen. I noticed how the colors next to your name changed at certain times while I was biking, but I didn't know why until I got my stats e-mailed to me after class. There wasn't an option to book a certain bike number on the app either and the bike is assigned to you after you check-in. I'm not sure if it's just the app that doesn't let you choose the bike as I haven't tried to book a bike on the website yet. Overall, there are a couple of kinks that need to be worked out (especially the instructor's microphone), but I would definitely come back soon!

Great walkable location in the heart of midtown, although they also validate parking if you decide to drive. And shout out to the manager, Emma, for working hard to keep the studio in tip-top shape.

WOW- talk about a workout!!…read more A friend had been trying to get me to join her for a sweat cycle class for some time. I basically told her the concept of cycling in a hot room sounds like torture to me!! However, I finally gave in and joined her for a Saturday morning class. Let's first talk about the location. The business is located inside of The Forum Athletic Club. The athletic club is located near the beauty school Elaine Sterling Institute and the Atlanta Police Department at Lenox mall. This should help you with actually getting to this spot. They have ample parking in the garage that is free. When you walk into the gym you need to follow the signs for sweat cycle. You are immediately greeted by the front desk staff and signed in. I was given the opportunity to pick my bike location and given a part of cycle shoes. NOTE: cycle shoes are required. You can not ride in your tennis shoes. Since this was my first class the instructor assisted me with sitting my bike up correctly. She measured the seat to my hip height and the handle bar against my arm reach. She also helped me lock the shoes in and gave me instructions on how to use the bike resistance and the various stances that will be called pit furring the classes the instructor advised that she recently had a baby so she would be on and off the bike, and likely off more. I can understand and respect that. The class started with a warm up and then the fun started. When I tell you this was 45 minutes of detoxification and cardio at the same time!! You basically get out of this class what you put in. If you go in and push yourself you will burn a ton of calories. I highly recommend coming hydrated and drinking water throughout the class! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone that loves to cycle and wants to challenge themselves by doing it in a heated room! I look forward to my next class, maybe I will see you thee!

Vibe Ride taught me how to enjoy exercise and now I look forward to coming almost every day! I have become stronger, healthier, and happier since joining this community and even roped my partner into becoming a regular. Spin has great music and the room is dark, so you don't have to feel self-conscious if you are worried about how you look when you work out. TRX and body classes are also excellent. All of the coaches are fantastic and have their own energy and flow so you can find the fit that works best for you. I especially love Cristol, De'Angelo, and Demetrius' classes. They are fun, encouraging, and committed to ensuring everyone has a wonderful experience, no matter their skill level. We've even completed Tough Mudders as a gym! We didn't do arms, which has never happened to me in a cycle class. I took a themed class, the music was good, the instructor wasn't bad. I am very passionate about cycling, and I can be picky but this wasn't for me.

You walk into a reception area lit brighter than a cafeteria. Nothing says relaxation like feeling like you're about to take an exam. For a $220 massage, your pre-service options are the hammam or sauna, which is very limited for the price. No steam room or jacuzzi. The robes are very comfortable, and the locker room is nice. Just be prepared to parade past a full gym in your robe on your way to unwind. I booked the Flow massage, which is supposed to be medium pressure. Instead, it felt like I was being buffed like a Camry rather than actually massaged. It came across more freestyle than intentional. I thought maybe it was just me, but both of my sisters had the exact same experience. Then comes the automatic gratuity, bringing the total to $260 for a massage that didn't deliver. If you're going to raise prices, the experience has to rise with it. This was a disappointment.

If you don't like a coach telling you what exercises to do and cheering you on this is not a work out for you. OTF Is primarily cardio-based as more than half of the workout is in the treadmill and rower. With a third of the class on a treadmill and third of the class on a rower you're really pushing your aerobic fitness and caloric burn. The floor exercise is the last third of the class. In my opinion they can improve their floor exercises and work out as there isn't much time to build muscle but rather to burn fat. There are quite a few locations around Atlanta as OTF has become a very popular workout franchise. This specific location in Midtown has a parking deck for free parking. The classes at this location are almost always full. The coaches and staff are nice just like most locations. They have a bathroom for both sexes and two showers for you to use if you want to go before work. They have a wide range of class times so you can work out super early, mid day or late in the evening. Overall OTF is great for trying to lose weight, get in shape and meet new people while burning calories.
