Here's what I ordered: Fried gizzard and liver Chicken and cat fish box Mac and cheese Greens Okra Fries The food was hot and every flavorful. The only thing that didn't taste all that good was the greens and the company I was with said it was the first time the greens tasted bland so I am willing to try again. The Mac and cheese surprisingly was good. It was made with real cheese and was definitely seasoned. The fish and chicken were also well seasoned. I would be willing to give the greens another try.

Removed 2 stars ; Its as though the two workers who worked that evening also don't communicate with each other nor the customer unless spoken to. It's confusing because why have tablets to order if you won't check who just paid for it. I ordered on the tablet because there's a tablet to order and the man was using his computer. The order was made by the woman in the back. After 10 mins she bagged it up and walked away to start sweeping; no one even checked to see if it's mine despite being the only person in the store. Could be because I was talking on the phone but i literally paid .... so i left confused about why i have to prompt for service when im the only one there. The ambiance in there is nice but I wonder how they do when it's busy on H street.

On our way to another location on H Street last Friday, one of my colleagues pointed to H & Chicken (H&C) and said it should be our choice for the following Friday. So, we made our way back to H Street this Friday to check out H&C. Let me get to the point and say we had absolutely no serious regrets about anything we ordered. Although we had to park about two blocks from the location (IYKYK), it was worth it. When we arrived, there was a small line. But, it was moving pretty fast. When we got to the counter, the person taking our orders was very helpful at offering suggestions. If you don't want to go to the counter, there are kiosk where you can place your order. The one negative comment that I have about this location is that people who came in and placed their order(s) long after we did, received their order(s) before us. So, I don't know if there are any specifics into how they manage getting their orders out Outside of that, the food was really good. Each of us ordered just about the same thing which included chicken and fish. Where we differed a little bit was on the sides. Just about everybody ordered the M&C. Some of us ordered, french fries and greens, or potato salad, and greens. When you order the chicken, you automatically get a biscuit. Unfortunately, that is not the case when you order the fish. (OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT) So, some of us had to order a biscuit on the side. Overall, everything we ordered taste really good. However, I will say the noodles in the M&C were slightly overcooked, and there were a bit more stems in the collard greens than I would have preferred. But, the taste for both the M&C and the collard greens was on point. The fish and the chicken (including the mumbo sauce) gets a thumbs up. Everything was seasoned and fried well. It is my understanding H&C is open until 5 AM. So, if you're having a good time at one of the local establishments on H Street and it gets a little too late to go to a traditional fast food location or one of the restaurants on the corridor, I wouldn't hesitate to give H&C a try. The only thing I would be mindful of is there is limited space for dining in. So, you will probably have to order, grab, and go. I do want to note one important thing. If you are going to H&C for the Thursday and Friday chicken wing special, the H St. location does NOT honor that promotion. You will need to go to the Hyattsville location for that. Everybody in our group agreed that we will be returning. Happy eating!

0/10 experience. Easily the worst America's Best Wings I've ever been to…read more I ordered a Philly cheesesteak combo with shrimp, plus 5 wings and fries. The cheesesteak was embarrassingly bad. There was barely any steak at all, which is insane for a sandwich called a steak & cheese. The shrimp upcharge was even worse: tiny, low-quality pieces that added absolutely nothing. The fries were also completely different from the usual America's Best fries and were mostly batter with barely any potato. The wings were noticeably smaller than normal too. Overall, everything about this order screamed cheap ingredients and corner-cutting. Usually when i got to basic takeout spot, I don't expect much. But this was so visibly bad that I actually brought the food back and got my money refunded. Avoid this location.

My go to meal is usually a fish sub with Western fries(potato wedges) with Mumbo Sauce, and a half and half, and I'm usually never disappointed. I usually go to the America's Best Wings in DC, and they have the Maryland stores beat with the Mumbo Sauce, but again, I'm just being picky.
