Found this spot on my walk and popped into the small ordering window. Staff was so nice and the food was amazing (as you can see in the photo). Please support this establishment!!!

This place is so expensive for no reason. The price are not worth what they serve. I was here Last Monday with a coworker of my the service was so awful . To start we order a bucket of beer that was the only good thing that the waitres got right everything else was downhill. So I order a shrimp soup it was horrible like 5 shrimps , milk, eggs and rice. Just awful my tortillas were raw I call the waitres because she never check on the only table she has my friend call her and I explained about the tortillas Been raw and that I loose my appetite she didn't seem to care. My friend steak!! he ask medium temperature and the waitres brings his steak raw what the hell. If you want uncooked food that gives you gas and food poisoning, stay away!! Service was horrible also, attitude problems or something wrong with the waitres., I have no idea she" chase a table outside because she wasn't getting tips well done for her horrible service. So sad never ever.

Stopped by here today, and was the best decision ever made. At first, I was skeptical because there was no other diners in the restaurant, but after taking the first bite of the Carne Asada, I almost shed a tear because it was that good. It was the perfect size, and the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. If you are around the area, this place is a MUST! Friendly service and they have so many options!!!!! They have both Mexican and Salvadorian food. Hope to go here again!

Thought it'd be authentic, hole-in-the-wall food amongst higher end Mexican places around the area, but it's sadly less than mediocre.

I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit. You will be well pleased like I was.

We tried: Gorditas, 5/5-it's reminiscent of Indian potato patties aka aloo tikki but with corn textures and undertones. Savory Waffles, 5/5-even if you've had chicken and waffles, this one is like an illusion item, you expect certain flavors and textures but encounter something entirely different in a good way. Papas con rajas taco, 5/5-the salsa macha elevates the fried potatoes and poblanos. Drunken mushroom taco, 4/5-dont get me wrong, its a great taco but you get something similar at Taco Bamba, Mi Vida and so on and by this point we were expecting unusual flavors and perfection from Cielo Rojo. Nopales taco, 5/5-by far the best, most delicate and fresh nopales we've had in the area, not slimy. Que Carajo cocktail should move to the brunch cocktail menu for good reason. Licor 43, cold brew, and carajillo are a win win at that time of the day. Tres Leches is another 6/5, a winner with that delightfully slight after taste or maybe fragrance of rose. We wanted to try the Flautas which had the can be made vegetarian/vegan symbol against it but were told that was a mistake and the dish couldn't be made without duck. Not sure if this is true only during brunch since some reviewers do mention the dinner menu having more vegan/vegetarian options. In either case, we'd love to return for brunch and try the dinner menu. These guys have something special on their hands.

Having lived in Tijuana, I have had the best birria tacos, and while Taco Loco's birria tacos are not better than what you can get south of the border, they are pretty darn close. They have a full menu in addition to tacos, we also had carne asada sopes. Service is friendly, nothing amazing, but it was friendly and efficient, especially only one young man was working the floor. Ambiance is a bit divey, but I think that's what makes the food taste so good. And a little secret - we liked the tacos so much we went back two days later for more. If you like authentic Mexican food then Taco Loco is a must try.
