Overall my experience was ok since I usually don't ride via except for special events or park and…read moreride. We took the 24 from Ellis Alley around 3pm on Saturday 2/28/2026. I was told that location park and ride was free but discovered it had a pay system in place. I called via and they said you needed to get a transfer from the driver to place on our car windshield. Not a great plan since I would need to get the transfer ticket, place it on my car and now have to wait for the next bus. That system isn't efficient at all. We paid for parking and went on the rodeo. The drivers were the real standout this night. Both the bus to and then the last bus from Frost Bank Center had stand out drivers. Super courteous. Answered all my questions and even reminded me where to jump off. The common thread of both drivers was their genuine kindness towards all passengers. Attentive to their needs and always a thank you for riding via of have a nice day to those exiting the bus. The drivers earned thus 5 star review.

During a recent visit to the Alamo city, I was looking for transportation from the airport to…read moredowntown and people suggested that I NOT use the shuttle. There were some complaints about not showing up, delayed rides, etc. But if I'm anything, I'm obstinate, so when I arrived at the airport I walked immediately to the San Antonio Shuttle counter and ordered a ticket. The ticket person was quick and the shuttle was underway in five minutes. They dropped me off right at the hotel front door and the price is one flat fee. When I was ready to leave, I could book my reservation online in about 2 minutes. You can even book the time you want to be picked up in 30 minute intervals. I selected 6:30 am (egads), and the shuttle arrived at 6:32 and had me in the airport in 20 minutes. Not too shabby. There are a few quibbles. The pricing does appear to be somewhat variable, although not in a bad gouge-the-consumer sort of way. At the airport and on their website they promoted $18 as the price of a one-way ticket and they charged me $18 to go downtown and $17 to head back to the airport. (There is a reduced price if you book both ways ahead of time.) Also, the bus (it's actually a van) that picked me up was labeled "San Antonio Tours" and I was wondering if they were going to take me past the missions on the way to the airport. The third quibble would be that it was easy to make the booking online, but when they arrived to pick me up from the hotel, they asked to see my paper receipt. I told them that I had the confirmation e-mail on my phone, but couldn't print it out. This caused a few moments consternation, but after I showed them the e-mail and the driver consulted with her boss on the phone, they accepted this. Viva la 21st century!

I am writing this review to share my experience connected to a trip that began at the San Antonio…read moreGreyhound station. On March 3, 2026, I boarded Greyhound Bus Route US1160 traveling from San Antonio to Austin. The boarding process itself was relatively straightforward, but a serious issue arose after my trip when I realized approximately one hour after arrival that my suitcase had been left in the secured undercarriage compartment of the bus. Because the undercarriage luggage compartment is locked and controlled exclusively by Greyhound personnel, the bag remained in the company's custody while the bus continued to its final stop in Dallas. I immediately submitted a lost property report while the bus was still in transit and was told the investigation would take approximately 7 business days. It has now been about a month without recovery of the suitcase or a clear explanation regarding what inspection procedures were conducted once the bus reached its final destination. The suitcase contained electronics, clothing, and personal items, including limited-availability apparel that cannot easily be replaced. Additionally, during the claims process I requested a reasonable communication accommodation due to a disability that affects my ability to process complex written communication in high-stress situations. I requested phone communication to ensure effective participation in resolving the issue, but communication continued primarily through email, making the process significantly more difficult. When asking questions regarding Emotional Support Animal (ESA) policies, responses at times felt dismissive when simply seeking clarification. Given that many travelers rely on Greyhound as an affordable transportation option, clearer procedures and more consistent customer support would greatly improve the experience. I hope Greyhound improves: * lost property handling procedures * communication transparency * accessibility-related communication practices * customer support responsiveness I am sharing this experience so other travelers can be informed and so improvements can be made to help prevent similar issues in the future. Documentation of the timeline and claim communications is available.

I attempted to get help from the greyhound ada line, also customer service. No one could get me a person in the bus station. Returned inside to get name of manager. They were no help to him telling him I could try back after lunch. Maybe they would be there. Standing on the side of the building in full meltdown waiting on police. Still no assistance. It only took us 5 hours and 25 minutes to get from the pickup point in SA to the drop off point in Dallas. Since COVID times, rider attendance is down, so they don't seem to be using the double decker buses with the tables facing each other. It was a standard Greyhound type bus contracted out of Kerrville, but we were able to sleep and watch Netflix on their free WiFi, and take advantage of their power plugs. Both 110V standard plugs for laptops, as well as USB charging ports. The bus even had a restroom for the 5 hour trip, and the bus was clean and in good shape. Tickets from San Antonio to Dallas are only $32.54 - one way (including taxes, fees, etc.). You just can't beat that with a stick! Keep in mind that they will make a stop in Austin to drop people off and board additional passengers. The driver announced that it would be a 10 minute stop, but it was closer to 30 minutes. Regardless, we still made it to DFW ahead of schedule. Pickup and drop off spots: San Antonio - just a big old parking lot. No indoor waiting area, so don't show up too early. Austin- it looks like they have an indoor facility but it was closed by the time we got there. Dallas - drop off - located at Fuel City, which is a popular food and party place on late Saturday nights. I hope I don't have to use this service again any time soon, but it's good to know it's there if you need it! I would use it again if necessary. Good value!

The driver made no apology or comment about being a full 15 minutes late from when the window expired. Even when I remarked that I was getting worried about missing my flight, he was literally silent. What made matters worse was that he still had another stop after mine, which meant I arrived at the airport only 45 minutes before my flight (if I had been checking luggage I wouldn't have made my flight) - even though I used the pick-up window recommended by SuperShuttle. As it was I had to run through the terminal to get through security and make it to my gate in time. This experience was coupled by the fact that when I arrived in San Antonio four days ago the gal working at the airport around 9pm was curt, rude, dismissive, and just generally unpleasant. So much so I opted to take a cab instead of having to deal with her! Bottom line, this is the worse airport shuttle I have ever used and I would never use it again! If I could, I wouldn't even give it a single star, but Yelp makes you give them at least one.
