It has this local small town dive bar feel that is welcoming. My go to drink is Bulleit Old Fashions but normally they are made way too sweet and sugary. The bartender here made it perfect. Little simple syrup so it tasted like a drink, not a sugary cocktail. My friend tried their Mexican food from the kitchen and we're also impressed by the quality of food. The African american bartender defended the person that made the comments because she was in the circle of regulars. I asked him if that was appropriate and he still defended the comments. We are regulars as are several friends. I'm disappointed in the bartender defending the derogatory comments of the woman at the bar.

We had a good time. If you know this area, then you know that sometimes parking can be limited or hard to find, so I really appreciated that there was ample parking at the restaurant. That's all good and well, but the woman at the door taking cover stopped charging literally 2 minutes after we walked in. She stated that the band would be playing for another 1.5 hours so we had to pay. Absolutely ridiculous and unethical. I think she just wanted to make money off of our group of 10 people in our 30's. Service was decent and ambiance was alright. It's a run down bar.
