We've been longtime customers, and service has been reliable over the years. Cleaners are polite and friendly and they confirm cleaning dates in advance to avoid any late-notice cancellations. Overall I'd say they do a good job cleaning and their prices are competitive. We have kids and hour house is not the most tidy, so it's very nice to come home to a clean house after they're done. My only gripe is that my shower grout gets moldy from time to time. They clean my glass shower door, but I usually end up cleaning the grout myself. read more

I purchased a Groupon for Vero's service. I contacted them to get a quote for an apartment move out cleaning, applying the Groupon discount. Veronica was very nice and made every effort to accommodate my schedule. Considering how many Groupons were sold, this was not easy - I'm sure. On the day of my appointment, three people showed up and started cleaning the outside of my windows while they waited for me to arrive and let them in. Sadly, the movers did a less than acceptable job the day before my appointment. So there was still stuff in the closets and food in the fridge. I asked them to work around what they could and ignore the rest - I would just have to deal with it on my own. They agreed and started working on the inside. I left the crew working for a little while, while I attended to other moving related fires and came back a short time later to see the carpets shampooed and much of the cleaning already finished. Things were looking good so I figured I'd let them finish alone and come back later to lock up. When I returned that evening, things looked and smelled good. But it was dark and I couldn't give a good inspection. I got a call from Veros sometime in that period and I gave them a positive but incomplete review of the work with tentative plans to start monthly service at my new place. The next morning I came back to spackle the nail holes in the wall and start unloading the closets and fridge. I was able to get a better look of the cleaning and noticed some obvious oversights: The walls and baseboards were untouched Some of the corners had cobwebs The corners and edges of the counter tops were dirty Smudges on the lower cabinets The perimeter around the stove and fridge were not clean There was also a large smudge on the backside of the bedroom door that was probably unnoticed since the door was open. The oversights were easy to clean, but annoying. More so because I couldn't spackle without wiping down the dust and cobwebs first. There also seems to be a few spots on the carpet that were not removed by the shampoo, I'm hoping a spot cleaning might do the trick. Not sure if Veros tried and not exactly a complaint - just statement of fact. Overall I am grateful for the work, but would probably do the cleaning myself if I didn't have a coupon. I still plan on using them for regular maintenance, keeping a close eye on the areas of weakness. read more

I had VFMS come by my business to do some pressure washing and polishing of the floors. Their staff was extremely polite, professional and arrived on time! It felt like they did the work so fast and the results were immaculate! I should have done this as LONG time ago and had no idea that they could literally transform my existing floors to look just like new again. Now overtime clients come over.. they always compliment on how clean the place looks. Their prices are very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to refer them to friends and family... as a matter of fact.. This review is a few years later- So things may have changed. Hopefully. I purchased a Groupon for Vero's service. The positive: They were nice about scheduling a time that best fit my schedule. The were polite & nice on the phone. The other perspsective: They never pick up the phone. They call you back after several attempts of trying to call them. They lack in the expertise of "Janitorial Services"- they don't know how to clean. My condo, which is pretty clean to begin with, is now dirtier as all they did was move dust around and rearrange things on the counter. My bathroom mats were basically thrown back on the floor, my jewelry was spilling out of it's container, the toilets were still dirty, and the place felt dustier. The two gentlemen (nice as can be), had no idea what they were doing. And, I could not communicate my needs as they did not speak English. It's like going to the Emergerncy Room & receiving care from individuals who obtained medical knowledge from watching ER. The kicker is that they emptied and took with them the contents of my large container which held all my plastic bags that I recycle for trashbags- it also contained a whole box of Glad trashbags, and various paper towels for cleaning. This was messed up!! And, just for kicks, they used one of those bags (the one with a large hole in it) and placed in our trash container to be used as our trash bag. Seriously? I had to borrow a trash bag from my neighbor. I also now have to clean my home. I have left several messages and still have not received a call back! I just had my house cleaned by VEROS and am extremely satisfied. I'm so glad I didn't read the other YELP reviews before hiring this company because they would have been misleading. I was actually referred by a friend of mine who was happy with their services. I'm assuming the others had a possible bad experience because of the whole Groupon deal. The company might have been overwhelmed or something, but I had a wonderful experience. It's the Holidays and I knew they would be busier but I was able to schedule a time that was convenient for me. I really needed to get the cleaning done soon because I was moving out of my place in a couple weeks. I was able to make an appointment and Fatima, the girl who helped me, was absolutely fantastic. She really tried her best to make it easy for me. She also had extra people come by to finish the job quickly. The crew arrived a little early, which I really liked. There were four people who cleaned the house. They were extremely efficient, friendly, trustworthy, professional, and thorough. There is no way I could have cleaned my kitchen that well. I actually thought it couldn't look that way! I don't have a huge house, it's a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom condo, but they finished everything in just under 90 minutes. It was amazing. At one point, I was working on my computer and I had three people in one room cleaning every corner. I could really get used to this! I highly recommend VEROs. I purchased the 2010 Groupon from this company and just last week had them come back to my house for a cleaning before my sister arrived for a visit (about 9 months later). As a business owner, I've always shied away from offering any Groupons and many of my friends and family can't understand why. The truth of the matter is that Groupon can be a double-edged sword. If you oversell and can't meet the demand, you will be punished on review sites like Yelp. I read through Chris L's review and, if what Chris said is true and there wasn't any limit to the number of Groupons sold.....YIKES! When we scheduled them for the Groupon, I got a group of three ladies that came out to my house. They were about 45 minutes past the time they were supposed to arrive. I'm OK with that...that's why Comcast gives you a two hour window. These ladies came in, said "Hello", and promptly cleaned the hell out of my house in about 70 minutes. They got EVERYTHING. Dusted all corners, baseboards, blinds, light fixtures, etc. They scrubbed floors, kitchen counters, fire place. And they got my glass sliding door on the shower completely clean of all the lime I have been trying but failing to remove. When the ladies left, I got their names (because I appreciate hard working people when I meet them). This past week with my sister coming out, I wanted the place to look its best. I called and set up the appointment and was pleased to get the same cleaning crew I had last time (minus one who didn't work there anymore). So after organizing and spring cleaning the extra layer of junk that always seems to accumulate, I brought in the professionals to do all the hard stuff. Again, they did a FANTASTIC job and the place looks great. I highly recommend this company, at least under the circumstances I hired them for. Some people like to have monthly or bi-monthly cleaners and I cannot tell you anything positive or negative about that. If you have a Groupon and are mad about it, Groupon will offer refunds when the vendors fail to complete their end of the bargain. So maybe go that route. But I have to say, the service I personally received, they definitely deserve 5/5 stars. A couple of things you need to remember: 1) They are house cleaners, NOT personal organizers. If your S#!t is laying all over the place and piled high, how the heck are they supposed to clean? They will dust, wipe, sweep, etc, but they are NOT SUPPOSED to be organizing your entire house. 2) They are a SERVICE based industry....the LAST person whose house they just worked on is JUST AS DEMANDING as you are. If they are a bit late or behind, you have to understand that and exercise a little patience. 3) The workers bust their behind every day and they have been placed in the unfortunate position of working for a company that became over-comitted to Groupon. Don't take it out on them....give them a tip if they do a nice job. read more

We purchased a coupon on groupon to have our house cleaned. They showed up a hour earlier, which is fine, but they completely missed a whole room, and didn't bring their own supplies (which we were told they were going to). They started downstairs in the kitchen, living room, and family room. The carpets were cleaned, but our kitchen counters weren't wiped down. It took them a full hour to finish our downstairs, then the proceeded upstairs. Our sinks were not throughly cleaned and they missed a whole room, even though there was 45 minutes left. I had to tell them, and then did a poor job. I don't recommend their services at all. read more

I purchased Vero's cleaning service through Groupon. There was a deal for $45 for Two Hours of In-Home Cleaning from Vero's Facilities & Maintenance Services ($125 Value). On their advertisement they said 3 cleaning people will come and clean for the whole 2 hours. I called and scheduled an appointment for them to come out and clean and the earliest appointment they had was 3 weeks out. Which is fine because I know they have a high volume of calls due to the deal. 3 weeks came a long and they came to my house to clean. 3 people arrived as advertised but they didn't stay the whole 2 hours and did NOT do a good job. My kitchen counter was not wiped down, the sink was still dirty, they did not vacuum one of the rooms, and there was still dust on the bed frame, desk, dresser, and on top of the TV. I'm glad I only paid $45 dollar for this and not the whole $125. I am NEVER using them again. read more

Keeping this Yelp comeback short and sweet so here goes... My girl friend bought one from groupon to be used on her newly bought Condo(congrats again babe). Both her and I were excited to see how well the place can be cleaned up from some professionals but wow on how they did not impress us... Random notes: - They kept watching the clock to see if it's been 2 hours yet since they started cleaning; asking each other how much time is left. (They thought my Vietnamese girlfriend couldn't understand Spanish. They also made other remarks since they thought she couldn't understand but I'm not going there...) - Since my gf is young, they thought they could get away with a half-ass job. (Blinds were still dusty, patio was still dirty, some windows were untouched... we're talking about 3 cleaners in a small condo) - They rescheduled 2 TIMES. 2 TIMES my gf's schedule got screwed up. For instance, she took time off work both times till she finally demanded that they better show up. - We had a house warming party and we cleaned the place up ourselves the next day and noticed it was 5x cleaner than Vero's "cleaning" job. - They did show up on the 3rd try but check this... They call my gf 2 HOURS before the appointment time and said they were already waiting at the condo complex. She's busy at work, you fools... 1 Star for a Groupon Deal and I still feel we got ripped off. read more

Like many of the other Yelpers I could probably write a book on my experience with Vero's. I too also purchased a $45 Groupon for a two hour cleaning. First of all it was hard as hell to get in touch with these people. It took me a couple weeks to schedule an appointment. They do not pick up the phone and do not have an answering machine. Seriously what kind of business doesn't have an answering machine! When I did get in touch with someone they told me that they were over booked with Groupon users and couldn't come to my house for another month or two. However, after I mentioned that we currently have a housecleaning service and were shopping around for a new one (which is sort of true... we do have a housecleaning service but aren't shopping around) an appointment for next week suddenly opened up. FYI - They quoted me $90 for a monthly service for a 1120 sq ft house. We currently pay $138 with our current service. Day of the cleaning my kid was sick, so I tried calling to reschedule. Based on the above info do you think I actually got a hold of somebody? No way. At this point after reading all the horrible Yelp reviews, I just wanted them to come and get the cleaning over with. My sick kid could deal. Two men showed up mid afternoon. I left with my sick kid so they could do their thing, but came back early to check on their work. I was gone a hour and came back to them leaving. Groupon promised a two hour cleaning. Again at this point, I was like whatever. I did a quick inspection and realized they didn't even vacuum the main rug in the living room. Are you kidding me!?! Of course I made them do it before they left. After they left, I did a more thorough inspection. My findings: Not a great cleaning, but they did most of the basics. However, they didn't wash my kitchen floor. Again, SERIOUSLY, I don't expect them to clean every nook and cranny but the kitchen floor? Come on! My house REEKED of cleaner and all the knickknacks were out of place. I will say they did do a decent job cleaning my hardwood floor. Am I pissed? Not really. Spent $45 and got what I paid for. My usual monthly service is triple the price, but they do a much better job than Veros. Would I hire these guys in place of my current cleaners? No way! I'd rather pay triple the price for a better job. Groupon users if you still need to cash in on this service it's really not a bad deal. This experience has been awful. I had gotten a groupon to try it out to see if I wanted long term service. I've been trying to schedule something since November 2010 and still I'm waiting. Constantly not responding to emails and was late on a consulting appointment by 30mins. Even after the consult I didn't hear back with any information promised. Terrible customer service, late on appointments, and just plain bad planning in general. I think 1-star is probably even too much for this experience. Like most of the recent reviews, I purchased a groupon back in 2010 because at the time we were in the search for a good cleaning service. When my bf called to schedule an appointment, he was told they were booked until January 2011. At the time, I thought it was understandable considering they must have had more appointments with the offer on Groupon. So he called back in January and was able to schedule a walk through. Similar to what Jennifer B. wrote, they DID NOT SHOW UP! It was very unprofessional on their part and inconvenience for us. Since then, my bf has exchanged emails with them on several occassions and was finally able to book an appointment. I bought a Groupon too, and and it looks like other Groupon peeps weren't impressed either. The Complaints: 1. I asked if they would do window washing and cleaned inside and outside of fridge before I bought the Groupon and they said yes. When I called to make an appointment, they said window washing was extra. Fine, as long as they clean the Fridge. 2. The receptionist called the day before saying we would only get 2 maids because 1 was out. That was nice, but I called to make sure we would get the same quality. During this conversation I also asked if they would be on time, and the receptionist said they will call if they are late. I also mentioned again to leave a note about the fridge. 3. The cleaning service arrived an hour late. No call for the heads up. The receptionist couldn't find them during that hour. 4. I told the receptionist several times, and even had my brother tell them to clean the inside and outside of the fridge. It was the only reason I went with Vero's (aside from it being a Groupon.) They did not touch the fridge. WTF?! 5. Many counter and dresser tops were untouched. 6. My tub still had dirt marks. Bleach got rid of it pretty easily, but isn't that what we're paying for? 7. They didn't touch the laundry room. Not sure why. It just needed to be vacuumed. 8. Left an annoyed message last night about the quality of service. Haven't received a call back yet. In conclusion, we are going back to our other maid. She's cheaper and more thorough. Except I bought 2 Groupons. Doh! I gave this place an extra star because the receptionist was nice and professional. read more

I used Vero's for my home several times. At first they were fine and did a nice job. However, I asked them to vacuum my floors and not simply use the duster as that just moved dust around and did not remove it from the floor. I spoke with their manager who was sent out the next visit and she tried her best to direct everyone. That worked only once and the next time they were out they were back to using the duster. When I brought this up to Veronica the owner of Vero's she was not successful in getting her employees to do this rather simple request. I even told them they could use my vacuum cleaner! Nope, they wanted to use that duster even after I had told them that is not what I requested. I also noticed other shortcuts in just about every room. Things were only topically wiped off and not actually cleaned. Now I'm thinking 'why am I paying this company to do this half-hearted job?' It seemed that whenever their crew was there they RUSHED through the job and did not spend adequate enough time to do good work. I was not expecting white glove service, but certainly a minimum standard (no one does a good enough job than you can yourself - but who has the time for that?). Even with 3 to 4 people each time (which makes it efficient for them) it certainly takes longer than just 40 minutes to do a whole house. I brought all of this up to Veronica and told her that I would need to find another company as I was not happy with their quality. She seemed ineffectual as if managing her own employees was beyond her control. I felt I had given them several chances to correct their work but my patience had run out. I was not paying for this through Groupon as several people who wrote reviews did. But either with a coupon or not, if a company is offering their services to you they should meet certain standards. I like their flexibility, reliability, and prompt response. We had 2 services so far. Initial cleaning and the very first recurring cleaning. Initial cleaning apparently comes with oven cleaning which I didn't know. Since they charge extra for oven cleaning and it wasn't clear to me, they waved it for me. After initial cleaning, I gave some feedback and they gave me couple of options. Eventually, we decided to use my own mopping solution, my own mop head. It's very easy to talk to the office manager, Fatima, via email, phone, text. The cleaning staff is good. Kitchen, bathroom, rooms look very neat & clean. My only complaint is that I feel they are rushing when they do vacuum & mopping the floor. I see some dust and fine particles near the edge of the floor. We have two kids and they worked around our schedule and notified us before they were coming. A crew of three people showed up and an hour later they were all done cleaning. The crew of 3 people arrived on time and cleaned everything meticulously, making the place cleaner then when we had moved in (given, it was pretty clean when we moved in). DO NOT USE VERO'S!!I bought a Groupon to try this cleaning service out. I called them to make an appointment. They said the next available was for a month away. I said fine. I called to confirm the appointment a few days before and did not get a call back until the day before. I talked to Veronica the day before my appointment and we were all set. NOT! I heard a knock at the door THREE hours before my appointment. I was about to pick up my son from Preschool. The laady announced she was here for my cleaning. I said my appointment was later. She said that she has to go to Gilroy during my appointment. THERE WAS NO APOLOGY, NOTHING! She even asked if she could clean while I was out. I said no because I want to make sure everything is done. She did not seem to happy about that. She even asked how long it would take me to pick up my son! Veronica got on the phone and was not apologetic at all. She even asked how long it would take me to come back home. I had to pick him up (25 minutes away), get him lunch, and come home. It was going to take me 1.5-2 hours. Veronica said she will reschedule me. I asked when. She gave me one time and day only: a weekday at 7am!! Isn't that CRAZY? DO NOT USE VERO'S. I will probably return the groupon to Groupon since they will refund them if you are not happy. After looking at these other posts and what I went through, I would be silly to use Vero's. read more

I bought their service on groupon.com for $49. I regret it. It took over a month to wait for the appointment. Well, I understand that they are getting a huge amount of customers and probably have difficult to handle it. Fine, I will wait for a month. I schedule the appointment today over a month ago. Last Thursday, they called and confirmed my appoinent. So far so good. My appointment should be 10am this morning. I woke up at 9 and moved my personal stuffs in the garage so that they can clean the floor easier. It's about noon now. No one showed up. So, I called in their office and was told that office is CLOSED ON FRIDAY! What kind of company schedule for the day that they are closed and confirm with you? What can I do now? Spend another hour to put my stuffs back to where they belong and plan on moving them again in a month? They are trying very hard on wasting customers' time and annoy them. What a disaster. I purchased through Groupon and thought I would give them a try. It was supposed to be 2 hours with three people. I got 1.5 hours with 2 guys that really didn't do much (I frankly don't know what they did for all that time). I think my 16 year old son could have cleaned it better. Counters not wiped, kitchen sink not cleaned, toilet not scrubbed, carpet not vacuumed, glass tables not wiped, mirrors not cleaned, etc. I scheduled this before I had friends over and ended up doing the cleaning myself. They did mop the hard wood floor and did a decent (not super) job of that. The topper was that while the kitchen garbage wasn't emptied, they evidently emptied the bathroom garbage and left it in two bags--NOT TIED--on my front porch. Yep, when guests arrived they were greeted with garbage blowing around my front porch--and bathroom garbage at that. EMBARRASSING. I would never hire them as permanent cleaners and feel that the $45 I paid was too much. I contacted Groupon and they issued me a full refund. So, the silver lining here is that I got great customer service at Groupon and will definitely keep using THEM. :) read more

I recently stopped using this service due to inconsistant cleaning. When they first started they were pretty good. Had to have them come back and re-do a couple of things. When I called to talk to Veronica the owner she said that they are getting so many new clients that they are training new people and thats why I havnt been getting the same service. Well if you cant hold onto your current clients then what good are the new ones? Mangement need to oversee the job more than they are doing. I reccomend not using them now. read more

I was very pleased with all aspects of my cleaning service with Vero's. I also got a groupon in 2010. I realized, when I first called, that they had gotten overwhelmed with groupons -- Their Groupon rep did not advice them to limit their groupons. Shame on Groupon! These are very professional and hard-working folks but a small company, and they struggled so hard to meet their commitments for many months. I asked if I could delay my cleaning for a number of months past the expiration, for which they were grateful. When the time came, this June, they had their manager come to my home in advance and get a sense of my place and what was most important to me. The worst service I have ever seen These jokers have been at our company for 6 months and have yet to empty my trash can unless I put it in the hall way then it may be three days before it gets done. The restroom soap dispenser has had dirty finger prints on it for over a month. They spend their time cleaning out the recyclables out of the trash but not empty them???? $100 cheaper than the last service and get 50% less work. read more
