This is a down home breakfast place where clearly everything is made to order from scratch. When we arrived, there was a woman waiting on a large takeout order. The order was for the wedding party for her daughter who was getting married that day. The bride so loves this place that she wanted her wedding party to share breakfast from her favo spot. So you get the picture. Very simple, very local. We ordered an array of breakfast items that included omelettes, grilled cheese, egg and cheese and pancakes, toast, along with coffee. The service was wonderful, the people who work here are wonderful. The food is good, certainly not great. I am from a bigger city and perhaps my expectations are skewed from that. This is a great place to visit for breakfast just outside of the National Park and it feels nice to support the local business. Just know what to expect.

It was loaded with meat, the marbled rye was toasted to perfection, a nice crunch and then it was a sloppy bite to the end and I enjoyed every one of them. This is the best Reuben I have had in Front Royal and the surrounding area. She had the gyro and was very happy with the entire meal, the lamb was very tender fresh veggies and the tang of feta and a yummy tzatziki sauce.

If they genuinely didn't know the daily special that is a training opportunity, but if they knew it and all orders get charged full price unless you tell them you want the special of the day, that's borderline predatory pricing. Most people won't verify the price reflects the advertised special price, especially if they order several things. Also I've ordered food in person and it took 30-40 minutes to get a simple order for 2 burgers ready. There is room for improvement. Slow service and not getting the advertised daily special pricing right doesn't make up for good quality food.
