The pizza is always ready super fast and is overall very good. My only critique is the crust is sometimes a bit tough. Their other food is excellent, and the service has always been fantastic. read more

We had lunch there on 9-12-2026. We had garlic bread which had melted cheese on it. The bread was nicely toasted but overall it needed more butter, garlic flavor. We ordered Mario's pizza, it included onions, sausage & peppers mix, mushrooms, and pepperoni. The toppings were fresh but unevenly cut. I think it could have used a little more sauce. Something about the crust was off, our server ensured us, the dough was made fresh daily. However, the crust tasted stale. Something was definitely off about the crust. read more

I came in alone with 4 grandkids ages 4 to 10 . I needed helpful service. The lemonaides with lids, extra napkins and smaller than usual pizza cuts were quick and seamless. The kids all had a great attitude and so did the staff. Thanks for a fun time. Good plain cheese with red sauce pizza and happy family. read more

Great food! Nothing fancy, but it reminded me of the pizza joints I grew up with in New England where they could do a number of dishes and everything came out fresh and tasty. I personally had a Stromboli and it was fantastic. If this were close to our home, it would be our go to pizza, pasta, etc. spot! The staff was so kind and friendly. read more

Good pizza friendly staff. Best pizza in town. Order is always ready when promised........

I live almost 2 hours away and was visiting my sister and decided to stop by Mario's on the way home for dinner because, honestly there wasn't much to choose from lol. This was hands down the best pizza I have had from anywhere in a longgggggggggg time!!!! I ordered a Pepperoni and sausage pizza, extra sauce and well done. Everyone who worked there was so nice and they made me feel so welcomed! I'm not ashamed to say that I visit my sister more just for the chance to get a pizza!!!! OMG SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!! read more

Ordering was terrible, the person at the counter was pleasant. We happened to be there 10 minutes before or order apparently that wasn't excepted. Half of the cheese was off the pizza and onto the box. Never again read more

Mario's Pizza - spinach and ricotta calzone chicken stromboli - Pizza Near Me - Berryville, Virginia

I know a lot of people like this place and I hate leaving negative reviews but I have been here twice. Once the pizza was chewy and the other time it just wasn't good. The breadsticks are like jerky. The service is fast and the ambiance was nice though. There are lots of people that like this place so maybe give it a try. read more

From out of town and needed something local, hot, and good. Called Mario's and got a pizza to go for the husband and me. It was very good. The manager, maybe owner took care of me. Hope to be back! read more

Worst costumer service I ever seen in my life. And won't say much but definitely have had better pizza/sauce else where. Thumbs down

Always friendly service. Food is consistently great. Never feel rushed - good place to meet people for a meal.

I have been searching for a place like this and have been craving a really good white pizza and this place... knocked it out of the park! Can't wait to return and try some other items from their menu. Did I mention the white pizza was amazing... well it was. read more

Very good food and lots of very different menu items, nice family small business feel for a Main Street pizza and Italian food restaurant, clean bathroom travelers like me appreciate. My only criticism would be the lighting in the dining room is dingy. New modern lighting would make the joint more appealing read more

Terrible experience! We came back to Mario's because we've enjoyed the food before, not so much the service . We were very disappointed this time. Unfriendly service, we felt like we were being rushed and the food was very disappointing . And when we spoke to the manager to make him aware of our unpleasant experience , he did not seem to care at all and was actually rood and not professional. We Will not return and will not refer this place to anyone . read more

Not bad for a small town like Berryville. Wish they would use real veal in their parm, not frozen patties - especially for $18 a plate. Grandson ordered a calzone that was huge - he loved it. Wait staff was fantastic. Thinking their strong suite is pizza, calzones, subs rather than their dinners. read more

Great food and really friendly service, what more can one ask for? I live nearby so Mario's is a go to but the food is legitimately good.

Very good pizza, it's got a chewy (the good kind) crust and generous toppings as well. Service is always friendly, great neighborhood pizza shop. read more

Came across this gem on a work trip. Pizza was out of sight! Would definitely go back next time in town! Did not disappoint. Friendly staff and quick response. read more

This is located in the center of town, I really like the sauce on the pizza. If your ordering any sub, they are enough for two people and loaded full. Every sub I've tried is just as good as the one before. Every pizza I've tied has been exceptional in quality, the dough is perfect! Staff always friendly, I don't get the bad reviews this place is nice family owned pizzeria. read more

The portions sizes are huge. The calzone great. Service is good. Great variety. A little noisy but not bad. Pizza crust is perfect.

Pizzas were really nice. Soft non greasy dough. Sometimes crisp but never burned. The toppings were nice. We like the BBQ chicken, Neapolitan and Mario's special. Service was great and our waitress was helpful and quick. Bathrooms were clean and tables nicely spaced out. Lovely place in Berryville for a family stop. read more

We recently moved into the area but had not yet tried Mario's. We ordered two large submarine sandwiches (hoagies), we were going to share with friends over happy hour last Friday evening. We ordered a super Italian and a turkey and provolone. The sandwiches were prepared fresh and ready at pickup. The attendant was friendly and the prices were consistent, as with the competition, following our collective, post-pandemic economic struggles. The quality of the ingredients seemed satisfactory and generally good. The bread was a semi-sweet white bread Italian loaf, soft and uninteresting. I've come to know over my more than 50 years of relishing a great deli sandwich, the bread can be a 'make it or break it' kind of sandwich ingredient. It was an opportunity lost. We may try their pizza pie sometime as an interest and experiment. read more

We love their Hawaiian pizza and plain cheese pizza. Their salads are always fresh as well. We frequent this place about once a week.

Excellent food. Friendly service. Fair prices (especially lunch specials)! Pizza is great (I prefer it with a side of hot wing sauce!) Salads are generous sized. Subs always hit the spot (Italian and Steak & Cheese are my go to). Mozzarella sticks are always a hit. Recently tried the cauliflower crust pizza and it was a hit! I was expecting not to like it but it was actually very good. Thin crust with a good crisp. Not an overpowering cauliflower taste like other cauliflower crusts. Parking is easy with the new parking lot. Always clean and inviting inside. If only they delivered! read more

Stopped in for lunch while on break from work. I was hoping I didn't make a mistake by ordering take out and having to wait a long time because there were a few other people waiting around but my meal was out and hot and ready to go in about 10-12 minutes. Not bad at all for lunch rush!! I was actually really happy with how fast it came out. I took it back to the office and ate my steak and cheese sub with a side of fries very happily. Hit the spot. read more

Mario's is one of those places that we have been going to as a family for years. I really like all of their pasta dishes but my favorite is their lasagna. Tonight for the first time I tried their pizza which was very delicious and quite filling as they really load the toppings on. Highly recommend! read more

You can never go wrong with some Mario's for the night. We order pizza from Mario's every now and then for pick up and it has been delicious everytime. Haven't explored the menu too much, but have tried the spaghetti meatballs and the steak and cheese. Decently priced food and quality taste. read more

Good food. Good people. Pizza is delicious. Dough is always fresh. Lasagna is good. Casual atmosphere. Good for families.

Clean, dining area and restrooms. Staff was warm, friendly, and helpful from the minute we walked in. Barely beat the after football crowd so initially we had the place to ourselves and received recommendations from the waitstaff. Went with the large thin crust pizza, and for our preference maybe it was a bit too thick and just a tad to much tomato sauce, however still very good. Anti pasta salad was great, we enjoy more olives and hot peppers. The waitress did bring us back a condiment of jalapeño! As we were only passing through, it may be an only time, however I bookmarked it in hopes of trying it again. P.S. we loved the town! read more

I ordered a small Alfredo pizza with chicken and the sauce was super curdy and gross . Waste of $15

The owner is a great man and he has great food. He was finally able to build a parking lot, which i believe h's helped his business tremendously. I highly recommend their food. Staff is always friendly, as well. read more

I have to admit, I didn't want to eat here, but I'm sure glad we did. We just finished kayaking on the Shenandoah River just down the road and came to Berryville to look for some lunch. I wanted to try one of the handful of local bistro/diner/country kitchen type places, but I couldn't convince my two little boys to go for it. They wanted pizza. So we went to Mario's. Mario's has a nice atmosphere - brick outside, high ceilings with low voltage lighting inside. It's very clean and there are about four booths and a dozen tables. Wood tables. Metal chairs - minor annoyance the amount of noise those metal chairs make when you drag them across the floor. Styrofoam cups, hard plastic plates, and simple stainless flatware. Service was prompt and friendly. It was one of those local kind of places where the customers all sorta stared at the strangers (you) for a few minutes after you sat down, and then resumed their conversations. The two rednecks at the table next to us kept chatting with the waitress about her farm animals and who her mama was going out with. The pizza... Oh my gosh, the pizza. The pizza was wickedly delicious. My boys got a simple pepperoni pizza, but they wolfed it down. My youngest doesn't normally eat much, but he ate 3 slices. I had the gourmet white pizza - spinach, broccoli, diced tomatoes, ricotta, and mozzerella. It was SO good. It would almost be worth the drive back out to Berryville again just to have another one of those white pizzas. My only real complaint about Mario's (besides the noise the metal chairs make when you drag them across the floor) was their drink selection. They serve Pepsi products, which is an automatic down-check in my book because I'm a Diet Coke addict, but I don't normally hold that against a restaurant. The thing that really bugged me was their lack of alternatives that my boys would drink. No milk. No lemonade. No root beer. It was Pepsi or nothing. In spite of the drink selection, the pizza was well worth the visit, and the service and atmosphere of the place made for a very enjoyable lunch. read more

A couple friends and I went veggie picking in Berryville and were looking for some good eats afterwards. We strolled along Main Street and weren't too impressed by the diner-style restaurants, but then we smelled something glorious - pizza! We unanimously picked Mario's as our lunch spot. The pizza was alright (not as crisp as I thought it would be). However, I was impressed with the toppings they offered - I got cappicola and garlic on my small pizza, which really could have fed two people. And my friends split a large meat lovers pizza. I was also tickled pink when I saw they sold Peroni and Moretti beer. I don't often see Moretti beer in the US, so we all ordered it. I'm not saying it's great beer, but I love it with pizza and it brings back fond memories of Naples. We had no complaints about the food or service, but I wasn't blown away by it either. That said, I'm really snobby when it comes to pizza, so a 3-star rating from me in a small town like Berryville is pretty flippin' good. This is definitely a place worth stopping at if you're in the area. read more

Driving in what seemed like the middle of nowhere while very hungry. We yelped near by places to eat and found Mario's. It was very tasty pizza. I like thin crust so we got two different slices. It was very good, tasty sauce and not greasy. The antipasto salad was delicious. My hubby had fettuccine Alfredo and loved it. I'm not a white sauce kinda person but I had to taste it and I agree, it was very creamy and tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly!! Great place over all. read more
