These locations are on the state line of New York and Connecticut. My Dad would take me fishing at Greenwich Point. We had huge family picnics in the area with grills and benches. I remember hanging hammocks in the trees. As kids we ran and played building up our appetite. I've got many historic photos from over the years. Summertime at Greenwich Point is the best! Why three stars ? I've been to many beaches and this one is just average. Compared to places like Fire Island & Robert Moses State Park there's no competition. Beautiful big rolling waves, infinite views, the wildlife, flowers and clean ocean breeze off the Atlantic Ocean versus the rocky rough sand and wimpy wavelets of the Long Island Sound. It's a nice place for picnics but the last time I was there they kicked people out right before sunset so I couldn't even enjoy the view.

The main path through the sculpture gardens has gravel. We had no issues pushing a stroller. The grass is lush and immaculately mowed. It's perfect for laying out a blanket. The sculptures are unique and eye catching. The printed map doesn't have much detail about the art beyond the name of each piece and the sculptor. There are no placards with information either, so it's not very educational. Some of the trees and plants are labeled, so you get a bit of a botanical gardens experience as well. There were a few benches along the path, but most were not shaded. Great place for a stroll. You can easily get through it in an hour.

Still, it does have some nice shady sections with tall trees. We walked through on a Saturday. The park contains a sizable wave pool and splash pad for kids, which looked fun. It had quite a few wooden picnic tables, but not a lot of seating otherwise. Several large groups were having parties and cookouts, but it still felt pretty quiet. The park contains Pelham Lake, which is nice for a peek, but it's a bit murky and also has no benches along it. There is a path at the end of the lake that takes you through some grassy sections and out to the pedestrian bridge, which leads to downtown Pelham. It seems a bit sketchy when you first enter, but it's very walkable after you get through the first section, which is overgrown with shrubs. Overall, not the greatest park, but it's always preferred to have some greenery in the neighborhood and a place to enjoy the outdoors.

It's wheel chair accessible. Has clean bathrooms and play area for the kids. Interisting to note that it says NO DOGS, but you see people walking their dogs all over the place. Myself included! But all dogs are leashed and everyone responsibly clean up after their dog. That's a plus! Totally recommend and my new favorite spot to relax.

Rocky beach and no waves because it's on the bay. Parking is $22 for non residents. Wish the water was clearer but it's natural. Brought water shoes but didn't really need them if you're careful. They have an East beach and West beach within park. West allows bbqs, larger fields and nice views. East beach is more like a beach due to lifeguard staff. I arrived at 11ish, paid $22 (non-Connecticut residents have to pay) and found parking immediately. Around 12:30 the parking lots were at capacity and closed. I love how there's so much to do at the park. You can grill, go to the beach, go for a walk and even ride your bike. It's a great time. The beach is small and full of rocks and pebbles. The water was freezing even in the hot weather. The walk towards the water is even worse. There's rocks everywhere you step and can be extremely painful. My sister and I both cut our feet trying to get in and out of the water so I HIGHLY recommend getting some water shoes! My favorite parking lot is the west side only because there's a bathhouse where you can change, use the bathroom and take a shower. Highly recommend to come here for a fun beach day or picnic or grilling. Love love this place!

A few benches to sit and rest while looking toward the downtown skyline and nice walk path with weather permits . Some nice flowers and other plants surround the old barn like house and the city of white plains do a good job with the upkeep of area . May not be the most exciting area in white plains to visit but it's very peaceful and calm to relax around .
