A very lovely park with great pickle all courts! Be sure to get there early to snag your court as they do get filled up quick. There's a cute little playground I would say is geared towards younger kiddos but there's also a great walking path you wouldn't expect that goes around the park. This is a beautiful park located in North Cedar Park. It has something to offer to just about everyone. It has the monuments dedicated to the veterans of all branches of service as well as to the US Coast Guards and to the Merchant Marines. There is even a monument for the Gold Star Family members. Additionally the Park has a swimming pool, BBQ grills, lavatories, a dog park and a walking trail just to name a few of the activities. There is also plenty of parking. Lots of fun to take kids, dogs, and adults. They have a dog park, community pool, and tennis (also being used for pickle ball) courts. They have a great playground for kids and a beautiful pavilion for gatherings. If you need to dispose of an American Flag, they have a bin put up to collect flags that need to be retired, and there is a pit for various scout groups to retire your flag for you. If you are on a budget like me, you can keep your entertained for hours here. read more

A beautiful elevated monument honoring all branches of the armed forces is the focal point of the park. Troy H. provided a wonderfully detailed description of this elegant monument in his review. For folks living in the area, there is a large dog park with even a swim hole for your beast. There are also plenty of activities for the kiddos as well. The large pool area was getting pretty darn full when we hiked by. There is a sign stating that there are major improvements coming soon which should both clean up the park and improve the existing amenities. There is a cool loop trail from our hood that takes out to New Hope/ Veterans park and deposits are back into the hood. It's a well-maintained gravel path that is easy on the feet and good for running. Considering the location a majority of this trail is pretty serene and once the weather cools I'm sure we will run into deer. read more

This place was AWESOME. We brought a group of kids (ages 4-11) and there were tons of different water features to keep everyone entertained on a super hot sunny day. I was especially impressed with the high number of lifeguards who took their jobs very seriously. read more

As a Veteran - Thank you for the very professional and simple honor of this park. "Honor For All" There are MANY amenities at this location, but I would prefer to focus on the simple and elegant Memorial that is present at the park. Too many times Cities or Municipalities will label something a "Veterans Memorial" and for it to qualify they just place a historical marker or a bronze statue of that sort. Here at the Veterans Memorial Park in Cedar Park they have provided a tribute to all of the armed services at the highest point of the park, themed "Honor For All." The most visibly most prominent feature you can see from all around the area is that there is a black granite structure at 22ft tall. This tribute proudly shows a soldier in "present arms," with his weapon, saluting and overlooking the pleasures of the park to which all members of the armed forces sacrificed for, for freedom. The granite honor is represented by: East Elevation: - black polished granite on a base of grey granite - standing 22 ft tall - six sided base representing all services West Elevation - solid granite obelisk standing 15ft tall - each panel on the grey base is 6ft tall - pictured on the obelisk are deploying female soldiers with children All of the images have been laser etched with great precision and detail. Surrounding the soldier on the plateau of honor: The U.S. Flag, The P.O.W. Flag, and the Texas Flag. All of the respective armed services are represented by limestone podiums that each display their crest/coat of arms. Inlaid on the ground from these podiums is a lighter stone colored path that connects them to the granite memorial. In the area at the bottom of the hill there is a seating/theater area that may be used for events or special occasions. Great park away from the middle of town. Very nice monuments dedicated to honoring our service men and women. The park has covered seating in the pavilion and play equipment for the kids. It has a nice swimming pool as well. Other than the monuments, this park seems to have been designed for the four legged best friends. There is a large dog park area, with a lake for the water loving dogs. There always seem to be a large number of dogs when we visit and they are all different sizes. There are areas where you can take your smaller dog if you don't want to contend with the larger ones. All in all, it's a very nice park. read more

Awesome dog/human park. Massive in size and variety of dog excitement areas. The back end has some woods which my ACD loved. Rinsing station available and human bathrooms on site. This is number o e or two on our favored delta papa Two separate stand alone dog wash stations. Very cool. I pay $25 for five total washes at local pet shop. So vast an area! Many of the dog parks we visit do reach a point of too many dogs in one spot at one time. This won't happen at Veterans Memorial cause its so large! read more

It's even more beautiful then I thought it would be during the planning. I have proudly taken visiting relatives to this park to view it. This is a park that has a little something for everyone. Not only is a park you can take your kids to play, it's also a dog park, swimming pool and a place to play basketball. The dog park has a nice fenced area for large and then one for small dogs too. There is a special area to rinse your dog off and to give them some water. This place is pretty popular so if your looking to spend your afternoon with out dog lovers this is your place. The swimming area seems more geared small kids. They do have a separate area for big kids but there isn't too much to do there. I will give them a C for effort. It's a nice place. If you do visit be sure to bring cash there aren't any ATM's never by. read more

Could use a little more TLC for the humanfolk - but the dogs don't seem to mind one bit! props to cedar park for making a bark park. on a recent summer night there were maybe 20 dogs all enjoying it. and there is a separate area for smaller or less gregarious dogs so they won't get squished by the overly enthusiastic walmart greeters of the dog kingdom who wait at the gate for their next customer. this is basically a fenced-in rocky mud pit with a man-made pond. there is a dock extending halfway over the pond - so if your pooch is a dive bombing fetcher, they will love this. i was tickled to see the dogs get a running start and go flying off the end of the dock in pursuit of their beloved ball or toy. really cute. of course i have the weird dog who won't fetch or jump off the dock. she slowly walks in to the pond and then quietly swims around, carefully avoiding the others - but watching them the whole time. kind of like your uncle mort at the family reunion after he's had a few pops. read more

We were reluctant about going so far northwest... but that is one serious awesome dog park! Veterans Memorial Park has an area called "The Cedar Bark Park," a five-acres (one section fenced for big dogs, another for small dogs). There's a muddy-as-hell pond/fountain for swimming, pet waste stations, covered seating areas ... There is even a dog-wash station for you to clean your mutts before getting back into the car. How cool is that? read more

This is a very nice park and the three separated enclosures for dogs is awesome. Our dog loves the large area with the pond and fountain. He can swim in it, chase balls, and just have a great time. read more

Lovely park. It is very busy around dog park season. I really enjoy how emotionally moving the beautiful monument is. It is respectful and brings pride to my heart. I enjoy taking walks through it. I also would like to add that there is wheelchair access to the top of the monument. A ramp spirals around the monument and flag poles. I have not been to the pool there but it has some neat looking slides. read more

Has a memorial and short paved walking trail, has a tennis court, has a small basketball court, has a water park, has a dog park with three different sections. It's far out northwest but it's fun to go to. There is a playground for kids and a roofed area w picnic tables by the restroom. We like using the tennis court when it isn't occupied. read more

great park I love the water slide the only thing is i wish they would have a benches in the restroom to change into your swim suit and stuff and there is no place to put your toteback without getting the bottom wet except fro the little hook in the restroom stall either then that it is a great waterpark read more
