He took the time to educate my husband and I about our 20 year old roof after a thorough inspection and advised us that it might last another year, but it was in bad condition. Well, we found out how bad it was when the ceiling in my home work office started leaking on my desk one stormy rainy day. I called Bob and left a message asking if he would be interested in checking out the issue for us and he was at our house within 15 mins and was up on the roof repairing that section this time. He didn't charge me a penny and would not take payment. Bob is the most decent, honest and caring business owner I've ever done business with. Bob and his crew take pride in the work they do, and our new roof looks fantastic. Bob gave us a great price, and he went above and beyond to make our roof perfect. Bob's years of experience and his personal code to do the work correctly is reassuring. The sales team kept in touch, came out to walk us through the process. They even stopped by to pick up a check. And it didn't feel pushy or sleazy. I felt like they genuinely wanted to serve us.

Victor came out and conducted a garage attic inspection using a tall ladder ceiling hatch. He didn't enter the lighted attic but just did a visual inspection using a flashlight. After his inspection, Victor claimed one side of my roof needed an asphalt roofing patch. What he didn't tell me was that, five to six feet from his attic ladder inspection, was an extremely obvious water pipe leak that had created black fungus on nearby wood. So obvious you could easily view without a flashlight. So what we have here is deceiving a possible customer by telling him he has a roofing leak when, in reality, a plumber was needed to correct the interior water pipe leak. Thus, my one-star rating, which actually should be lower.

My project was complicated because my 1980s drywall shafts were the wrong size for modern solar blinds. Instead of just "making it work" or creating a huge mess with drywall dust, Zach proposed a brilliant custom solution: building a clean birch veneer box with custom trim. It looks stunning and kept my house completely dust-free. What impressed me most was Zach's integrity. During the install, a small piece of my old plastic molding snapped. Instead of ignoring it, Zach took full ownership and replaced the trim on both skylights with upgraded foam-backed wood molding at his own expense to ensure everything was airtight and uniform. It is not a simple fix but an upgrade, for free. See the attached before/after pictures and the broken plastic. Like most customers, I contacted a few contractors before selecting Winfield Builders. Their price is VERY reasonable, and the communication through Yelp was professional and transparent. It is rare to find a contractor who cares this much about the details. If you want a crew that is honest, skilled, and delivers a beautiful finish, call Zach. 1000% recommendation!
