Always wished Vessi would open a physical store since I bought my first pair of Weekends a year and a half ago and my wish came true on November 10th, 2022! Conveniently located in the Upper Level of Metropolis at Metrotown Mall. The store has a refreshing contemporary look with a functional layout of shoes and accessories displayed throughout the store's walls. Visited the store for the first time as I had to return a Stormburst (size 10) that I bought from Vessi's online store. All my Vessi's were a size 10, but the Stormburst fits a little bigger, hence the importance of a physical store where customers can try on their array of styles and sizes to make sure they are perfect before making your purchase. I have to say I'm Vessi fan for life as I consider all my Vessi's the most comfortable and absolutely waterproof. The store was quite busy, but 3 staff members were still patient and super helpful to answer all of my questions, and made my return seamless. Pro tip *online and store purchases can be returned at the store, but store purchases must be returned at the store.*

Lined up for about an hour and a half on opening day, to get into the new Vessi shoe store in Metrotown. Vessi shoes for anyone who hasn't heard of them are the " world's first waterproof shoe." Also, not that it was any kind of criteria for me in deciding whether to purchase their shoes, but for anyone to whom it might matter, Vessi shoes are 100% Vegan. Having waited over and hour and a half I simply couldn't walk away empty handed; so I bought a pair of Women's Weekend Chelsea shoes. Thankfully they were having a bit of an early Black Friday sale. The shoes still cost me a pretty penny, but some discount is better than no discount; truthfully speaking, I have spent more money in the past on much less practical footwear. I love my new Vessi shoes and know that I will get plenty of use out of them. They have come in handy already for foodie adventures and more. So much lighter on my feet than the heavy, clunky rain boots I used to wear. Worth every penny!  The sales lady who attended to me was very helpful. She was cheerful, knowledgeable and made several trips to the back of the store to fetch different sizes and styles for me to try on. My 11-year-old boy purchased a pair of Crocs from Little Burgundy. Shortly after he bought them the…read morebutton that holds the strap on the right shoe broke off. We went back and asked if that is covered under warranty. The salesperson said that we could exchange them, but it could not be done that day because the store computer was not functioning. So we returned to the store the next week, but there was a different salesperson there who told us that the shoes can not be exchanged (despite that the first salesperson said that they could be). When I asked what can be done the salesperson said to phone Customer Service. I phoned a number of times but only got a recording. I tried to contact them via a form on their website, and got a message saying they will respond within 48 hours. I got a response by email about two weeks later, asking me to send photos of the Crocs "from all angles". I sent photos and Customer Service sent back instructions to do an exchange by mail. It looked like we were finally getting somewhere (but we weren't). I sent the Crocs to them via Fedex, and we were supposed to receive replacement Crocs within four weeks. Four weeks passed with no sign of replacement Crocs and no communication, so I emailed to ask if the Crocs had been sent, and if there is a Fedex tracking number to tell where they are. No response. I emailed again after five weeks. No response. I phoned Customer Service several times, and eventually got an actual human on the line! I explained the problem and she looked into it. After a lot of questions and a lot of waiting on the phone she told me that someone forgot to send replacement Crocs. She asked if I would like a refund instead. I replied, "If that will be quicker, then yes". She said she would contact the store we got the Crocs from and arrange a refund that we can go pick up. I don't know why she couldn't just refund my card instead of having me waste the time and gas to go back to the store again. We went to the store and they actually gave us the refund (and that was the only part of this ordeal that actually went right). Unfortunately, there is no refund for the gas I used for multiple trips to the store, or for all the time I spent trying to communicate with them. After two and a half months I finally got the kid's money back, so we just left the store and will never deal with Little Burgundy again.

Lots of young kids and teenagers shop here. I believe that is their target customer base. OMG, if you want to try something on, the wait for a changing room is so long. The store is so busy. They always have such a good selection of clothes that are trendy and SO CHEAP! Their quality might not be the best, but I think it's good enough for the price you pay. I more so go there to get inspired by all the looks they have their, it's always so fresh. Thankfully, they have now added mirrors inside their changing rooms so you don't have to come out everytime you want to see if something looks good! I will say if you ever go there, be ready to spend hours because they have so many options but most of them won't fit or won't look as good on you as they do on the mannequins so you will end up going to the trial rooms multiple times. Their line ups as always so long! They always have good deals though. Their staff are pretty good, never had a bad experience here. Pro tip: go to their sister brand Urban Planet which is also in Metrotown but on the second floor. They have the same stuff but it's usually less crowded.
