I wrote a negative review around 8/2020. I just checked and Dr. Gupta or staff eliminated it. I used Dr. Gupta because he was referred to me because he accepted Medicare. I had 2 broken implants that needed to be removed and replaced. I have never used drains before and told Dr. Grupta. Neither had my friend who cared for me afterwards. I was sent home with a chart to write down the amount collected in the drains. The chart indicated this should be done every few hours. When I got home after surgery, my drains were full ( 30 minutes later). This went on for at least 8 hours. I was scared I was bleeding too much, but expected a follow up routine call from the nurse. NO ONE CALLED BACK ALL WEEK! I also noticed that one breast was sewn perfectly and the other was bumpy, uneven stitches and clearly sewed up by someone in a hurry or someone else. I asked Dr. Gupta about all of this listed above. He said no one else sewed me up and he was "sorry" no one called me all week! A month later Dr. Gupta redid a few of the bumpy irregular stitches on my right breast. After a few months, the right breast became hardened and did not fall the same as the left one. After a year, I consulted the doctor who referred me to Gupta and she was alarmed. She referred me to someone else to see if they could help fix this and have Medicare cover this January 2021. The referred doctor said she would get back to me if Medicare would cover this. She never called back . I am writing this 3/22/2021. I among permanently stuck with this botched replacement/ lift job done by Dr. Gupta. Medicare paid for the implant removal and I paid for the new implants to be replaced, plus a lift for $10,500.00 My recommendation is this: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE DR. GUPTA EVER DO SURGERY ON YOUR BODY! read more

Dr. Gupta changed my life! 6 weeks ago I had a breast lift and 300cc silicone implants put in. My breasts were...lets just say, NOT an easy fix! They were very tubular, saggy and deflated. They were so bad I was nervous that no matter what I did to try and fix them, they would never end up looking how I always wished they did. Today I can honestly say that I have BEAUTIFUL breasts and I've never felt so confident my whole life. Dr Gupta, Verve Plastic Surgery in Solana Beach - he does NOT believe in BII, he said its psychological and there's zero proof of any toxicity from silicone or saline implants. Period. The reason I'm actually more pissed off at this place, the lady on the phone straight up LIED to me on the phone about EVERYTHING! She said oh yeah he DEFINITELY BELIEVES in BII, he's had SO MANY patients explant and they all feel sooooo much better after!! You're going to love him! Oh yeah and your insurance might cover it based on your symptoms and how he writes it up.  He's doing this for SO many women! Oh yes! Absolutely he's your guy! I even changed my insurance provider to the one she TOLD ME would cover explant!  I had to postpone my original appt to wait for the new insurance to kick in! So 2 months later I finally have my appointment, I left work early to go, it's in Solana Beach, kind of far from my work, and it was a TOTAL ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MY LIFE! Dr Gupta straight up said how flat and ugly the breasts will look after explant if I don't either put new ones in or have the lift, he said there's No way insurance will EVER cover saline- only silicone and ONLY if they're ruptured. He said the women who come out of surgery saying they instantly feel better are the most placebo psychological effect of all because "nothing has changed in your body" to feel better instantly. It went on and on and frankly that lady is doing a major disservice to women by lying straight through her teeth - for what? Waste my time, go in and be completely disappointed and really upset that it was 1000% NOT at all what I expected!! Like gee cool now I'm going to change my mind and go with this quack who has a lying front desk and he thinks we're all psychotic. Yeah no thanks. He also kind of leaned in like he was going to tell me this is secret truth .... He said there are NO doctors who believe in BII, the ones who say they do are LYING and only doing it because they see an opportunity for the money!!! And the only reason this has made a comeback since implants were banned back in ....whenever it was 2009? I forget. ... but the only reason this is a "thing" is because of social media.  Its not real and the "science" proves it. Omg with the "science"  (rolling my eyes) ***oh!! He also said that this is a very sensitive issue - that ALL the plastic surgeons actually believe this is PERI MENOPAUSE! and because it's such a sensitive topic they don't really talk about it but that ALL the BII symptoms are actually all the same as peri-menopause. Anyway. Dr Gupta in Solana Beach is a big fat NO! Do we have a list of doctors to AVOID?? we should start one! To save women the time and heartache and headache. PS I SPECIFICALLY ASKED the front desk lady if he believes in BII and expressed to her how important it was for me that he truly believes in it. She was SOOOO convincing! I was SO hopeful! Wow !!! I am reading the response that I'm getting here from Verve after the second time he went in & tried to correct the damage he did. I refused to let him go in a third time. Now I am paying someone to fix the severe damage he did. These pictures are results AFTER the second time he tried to fix his mistake. he offered to fix dog ears, And totally made long scars ,so I will say it again verve plastic surgery is not recommended .I did not extort anything from them I simply asked for a partial refund so I can pay a more experienced surgeon to fix the damage that they have done..so just a warning that this practice left huge scars on my hips and face. At first I just had only one breast removed because of the cancer, and it went so well, I decided to have the other one removed preventatively. I had a rhinoplasty/septoplasty done in September 2020. To put it bluntly, it was a failure. I still have a deviated septum and my nose is now uneven, as the work he did on the right side is larger and makes that side more bulbous. As a young girl I knew someday I would be interested in enhancing my breasts because It was the only part of my body I was very insecure about. After contemplating for a couple of years whether or not I should get a breast augmentation I finally decided to do it! I started off by searching doctors in my area on Google and traveled to other cities to meet with different surgeons friends had recommend, then I finally met Dr. Gupta! I thought after having the same consultation over and over with other plastic surgeons I had heard it all, little did I know I was wrong. I had a major bike accident with a terrible deep road rash on my face and arm that scripps ER doctors told me not to put anything. Rash was not healing and was getting red and painful. Dr Gupta gracefully accepted me for an appointment and offered his expertise and custom made scar cream and sunscreen cream.
