I bought a 40 x 24 by 9 car port from Versatube with a 65 pound snow load roof. The material was excellent. No shipping problems but they did not offer delivery to my remote location so I had to rent a Uhaul and pickup frame components from the nearest town, but that was known prior to placing the order. The order process was easy and the engineers did a good job in a short time. On a scale of 1 to 10, installation was an 8. It was me and my two adult boys and it took 4 full days. The trusses with the snow load braces were two heavy to lift so we assembled the trusses without the braces , put them n place and then added additional braces. We rented a lift for two days and would strongly recommend a lift be utilized for installing braces for snow load and roof material. The instructions could be clearer, but snce I have a lot of construction experience, it was easy to figure out the process. The hardest part was getting the trusses square and we were out by about 2 inches over 24 feet and had to "cheat" the roofing material a little. (easy process and undetectable from the ground). Even though we checked in all parts, we were short one brace. You have 30 days to report any missing parts and we were 50 days out, but not a problem at all. Customer service FedX'd the missing parts to us withn a few days. Overall I would give Verasatube an A+, but you should have reasonable DIY experience for this project. read more

They will not deliver to a site on a gravel road. They send this information in the email with your price quote. It isn't mentioned on their shipping policy page. Even if I wanted to buy from them, they refuse to deliver to me. ( I called to verify) They were not very friendly about discussing alternatives. read more

I saw a lot of advertisements for Versatube and being an American company. So I played with the custom garage program they have online, spoke to sales person ,(Sheena) many times to ensure everything looks good and that o could get the engineer stamped plans for my very strict county. Once this is done, and this for a $38k order which im sure is probably among one of the bigger orders they get, my plans never came. I had to reach out to them twice only to be told they aren't ready yet. After I continues pressing them they issued a new completion date which was 2 weeks later. Two weeks later, I again never received plans or head anything. I called and emailed and again was finally told another week. I raised hell demanding some refund/credit as these delays were costing me money with my planners and they refunded a small amount of $800. But then again they were still late on the plans even with the 3rd date and I had to raise hell again and got them the following day, so some 24+ days late. Then, and I had previously discussed with them how stirct my county was and they may be rejected needing fixes which they understood. So o received an email with a link for property information with no ability to upload anything. Just fill in the template type site. It said if the engineers have any questions they will reach out. So aside from being 24 days late, they never once reached out ot provided me a way to contact then should I need to. Well.sure enough, the plan got rejected with some fixes regarding the foundation. They then said they want a $300 revision fee. Except this is their erro, not a revision. I refuted this and demanded a supervisor which never happened. This was time sensitive and they only responded with a customer service representative will get in contact with you. 2 days later and still nothing. I even included the CEO in my email. This has been the worst experience and most unprofessional company I've worked with in all my years related to homes/construction. ---Update--- A supervisor in engineering got hold of me, is taking care of the fixes and refunding me more money. Purchased a 30x35 shop. Delivery was to be held off but it came early. Ok, but two of the pallets were broken and stuff falling out. Ok, completed a frame inventory and when some missing items were to be replaced I got the third degree, had to send photos, which I already sent when delivered. Structure not bad, assembly instructions are in feet and inches, product is marked in inches, OK. Time for sheet metal trim inside of a sealed box, what could be wrong? Three pieces missing OK. All the wall panels are there. Bails of metal, heavy and not easy to simply inventory. Packing list accurate, just not what was inside the trim box. Called customer service, all talk a good game and are polite. Can't get the missing pieces sooner than normal production time, sent to the back of the line B.S. On site equipment sits, help walks away. No sense of urgency by Versa-Boobs. Management can authorized but haven't heard from any of them. Sell it and forget it. Upper management is missing or goofing off. I'm the fourth building in my neighborhood. The other three had no missing parts and thought the company was great. Roll the dice, I wouldn't recommend them. POOR MANAGEMENT. read more

I made a purchase from the Versatube Company, and later bought 10 extensions to make the Carpot higher. When I received the pieces and tried to insert them in the lower part, I found that the exterior measurements are 3x2, but the interior part is 1/16 thicker, making it materially impossible to insert it. Their response is, you exceeded 30 days and there is no guarantee, as I told them it is not changing it for the sake of changing it, it is that their quality control is very poor and naturally they do not do tests before sending an order to the client. Of the remaining pieces, they come very scratched and very bad finishes, I did not complain about it, but if we add to that that they send you thicker material than normal, one piece will never fit with the other. Terrible warranty and customer service Bad material, or they mistreat it and send it like that The roof sheets come scratched. In fact, never buy from them, look for alternatives, otherwise you will buy and they will tell you what I did, buy from them again as if money would lift you off the ground. Instructions are vague. If not for Youtube it can't be assembled without mistakes. Frame is difficult if not impossible to square when assembled. Higher priced then competitors without any noticeable value. Customer service is not what it should be. If you do not open and inventory within 30 days they won't send missing items. I was missing some assembly plates for gables and was charge $17 for a $2 item with shipping. It wasn't packed or checked off packing list. Their fault completely. Buy from someone else. read more

I ended up spending 2000$ to make the building strong enough to suit me . The rolls of putty they sent as a sealent between roofing metal is subpar . The roofing metal also is weak . You can't walk on it if you way 200 + . The biggest cost was extra framing . The delivery driver was ill equipted to deliver at our house and could not drive up our driveway . He only had a pallet jack to move the product . We live on dirt . So I had two move all product to the site . He was embarrased . read more

Just bought the RV classic carport and had no issues with communication or getting the product. I think a lot of the older reviews hare may have been one off's but our experience was as expected. We had the frame delivered in 1 week and the sheet metal in 2 weeks. No damage. The only suggestion I have to others is if you are mounting this Classic style with the wrap over roof that bends and wraps down the side a bit on concrete and it is level, go for it. If you are putting it up on dirt, gravel or anything that is uneven, spend the money and get the Pinnacle. Save yourself a lot of headaches! As of this writing, the classic 12X12X33.5' was $2,979. Prices are going up though from the website ad. The metal sheeting may be able to be bought locally cheaper if you are handy as it is just standard stuff readily available. Just buy the frame and add your own if you're doing the classic. The Pinnacle has a lot more involved with trim pieces. read more

I've been 54 years in the construction business and never have dealt with such an inept company. I purchased the system in July. Still waiting for parts in September. The system was delivered in multiple shipments though VersaTube doesnt really tell you who or how they will ship the parts. When the parts arrived I went through a simple inventory and found that they were missing multiple parts and sent the wrong parts. I tried calling that day which only had a voicemail. I left a message with no response. I sent an email with no response. I chatted on facebook (the only way to get ahold of anyone) and they were apologetic but not really any help. Finally I get a response days later telling me they need pictures if my job site to prove I am missing the parts. (Yeah I need spare hat track laying in my yard). I agree and send the pictures, even though that is stupid because any moron would just hide the parts they were lying about so really they are just wasting their customers time. Then I am told it is being sent for approval. I email asking for an update and get no response. Then someone responds saying they apologize and will use this as a training opportunity and agreed to send the parts. It is five days later and they still havent shipped the parts and will not respond to emails. I finally decided to start a dispute for the charge. I would not recommend VersaTube to anyone. They have poor shipping and QA. Their customer service is beyond terrible. The instructions they send you are not very specific to your building and a more general building instructions. They send out the system without all the parts or correct parts. The quality of their self tapping screws are horrible. I went to home depot and paid $20 for screws that actually bite. I purchased the Summit 24' x 30' x 10'  garage kit from Versatube and feel it's a good quality building that I would recommend to a friend. I built it mostly alone and it's not that difficult just very time consuming fitting all the pieces with the 2750 screws that came in my kit. It took me 5 full weekends to finish including the doors. Overall it was a good experience and have no regrets even with a few bumps along the way.  Customer service was great and want to give a special thanks to my salesman Ty Sampson who always responded quickly with any questions or concerns I had. I purchased the Frontier Garage Package in a 24 x 30 last July for install in NW Pennsylvania . While reviewing their reviews on their site, it made it sound so easy to put this thing up. My Rep, Richard John, was helpful, however, I am not a builder so I had to bone up on the lingo to fully understand the scope of the project and the requirements of the foundation and structure before I could choose the tube size and the metal gauge. I went with the 2 x 3 tubing and 5 rib 26/GA with a vertical roof and horizontal sides. I poured a 6" 30 x 36 slab to build this on. I ordered the Frontier system which features horizontal panels in the hopes of "matching" the siding on the house it sits behind. I ordered boom service on the sheet metal and lift gate for the tubing (both extra charges) Fed Ex delivers the tubing; the metal comes by way of the manufacturer (Fabral). I went with the "condenstop" flocking on the metal panels to avoid having to insulate after erection. So far, no condensation issues :) I have a 10' wide driveway between my two houses into a back parking lot. Had quite a few semi's in there to demo a barn & 8 old garages and a few concrete trucks to pour the slab. Fed Ex did not want to deliver the tubing to the garage site, they wanted to drop it in the street. I finally got them to agree to bring it back to the site. Be specific when you order so they KNOW where they'll be delivering and make sure you have lots of room. Fed Ex sent ONE driver to deliver 15' long bundles, which in my case were two, weighing 1000 lbs each. The driver was equipped with a HAND TRUCK and had to maneuver these bundles onto a lift gate that was 4' deep. Needless to say, one bundle made it off, the second had to be hand unloaded by ME and the driver. Boy was I tired after that! The metal arrived from Fabral and at this point I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised by the great boom service. Versatube just needs to send the tubing that way. Be prepared to properly store the metal panels if you're not going to erect the building right away. You'll void your warranty. If you store outside, you need to use a breathable cover and separate the panels to prevent moisture locking between them. I assembled a team of 4 contractors who are "no joke" when it comes to construction, to put this thing up. They had erected a few metal buildings and gave it a "no problem" it'll take us a day to a day & a half. First thing I noticed is that Fabral sent instructions and Versatube sent an instruction booklet and the instructions conflict. Versatube dictates paneling from top to bottom; Fabral, bottom to top. After a very frustrating first day for the boys on my team we had the skeleton in place. (Note, we placed rolled roofing between our tubes & the concrete slab to prevent moisture from seeping up from the concrete & deteriorating the tubing and sealed the bottom of the tubes with Vulkem). The second day the boys began with the panels. We read both instructions, the boys agreed with Fabral's instructions over Versatubes but were afraid to deviate from Versatubes so we paneled from top to bottom. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy when the bottom piece had to be cut so now I have cut metal on the bottom where snow sits. (It's in the # 1 snowiest city for 2014) In mine and the boys' opinion, the vertical panels make much more sense for ease and less cuts. If I had it to do all over again, I would have went with verticals. It took the boys 3 days to erect the structure and they said "We'll never do another one of these, ever". In their opinion, the instructions were not clear and some didn't make sense from a construction point of view. Installing the trim package (I went with red siding & white trim) we were short one piece and so they pieced together scraps on the back side of the roof line. Maybe I'll have Versatube send me a piece. After everything we went through, we had 7 extra panels (15' long) so at least I have some replacements when the lowers start to rot out. I also want to point out when you order the trim package, the trim color you choose will be all of the vertical trim pieces on all four corners as well as your roof trim. I would have preferred the vertical corners were "red" as the siding but they are white. Immediately after we finished I sealed the entire ground edge to concrete with Vulkem to prevent leaking and corrosion. I also shot foam insulation into the corners at the metal ribs of the panels and roof line on the inside to prevent rodent entry (vertical panels would not have some of these issues). I installed a 8 x 16 roll up aluminum door with opener and a man door which constantly leaked along the bottom (yes I sealed the hell out of it) I finally put a screen door on it and it solved the problem. In closing, So far so good, we had a wicked winter and the place is still standing. I'll keep you posted! Hope this helps! read more

I found the framing to be of high quality and the fit pretty much perfect. Being a USA Company I made every effort to overlook the shortcomings, mainly service. My problem manifested when I realized that a few items were missing within the kit, mainly the instructions and anchoring. After several days of conversation with Veristube which could better be described as argument and countless promises to return my calls with needed information I gave up and purchased the needed items at a extra cost elsewhere. It really a shame to have such a nice product and loose the customer experience and recommendations of the customers by burnt out employees. I could have had this built on my land for $100 less with a different company.I would not purchase again. Live and learn. read more

I have 3 of these buildings, and I live in San Diego. The best part is you can assemble it yourself. No leaks on 2of them but the 3rd one for a car cover I made 35feet long And where the two overlap it leaks. But Probly cause I didn't put enough screws in it and being horizontal overlap. Caulking fixed that problem. I got 9 years on my first 24 x45 foot work shop and not one issue. My neighbor got one from Indiana for 32 thousand dallors I beam construction. I only payd 15 thousand . Overall I am very happy with the VersaTube building that I constructed this summer. This was not a standard garage like they normally produce. It was a 2,200 sq. ft. combination RV garage and 1 bedroom, 1 bath house, with a hip roof (which VersaTube doesn't build). The quality of the material is excellent, and the layout and design is innovative and effective. There were a few problems. Engineering was a little bit lacking on designing door openings, leaving base rails across the bottom of three door openings, and miscalculating the width on a double door opening. They also missed on the soffit width and miscounted the material takeoff on a couple of items. The Tolleson plant left out some pieces that were on the packing list for the shipment. Between the engineering sloppiness and the plant sloppiness, it caused me to make three 6 hour round trips to get parts to keep the construction moving along, and some creative shuffling to keep my guys working.. I still give them a 5 star rating because of one person that went out of their way, over and above, to sort out the problems for me. That person is Zack Rice, Manager of Dealer Sales. First he worked with me to get the plans to match my design. Second he smoothed out the rough spots through the construction. With him, it worked out like it should have in the first place. Without him, this would have been a disaster. He was professional and attentive; always helpful and cheerful. But most of all, he produced, He got the job done every time I made him aware of a problem. Thanks Zack. read more
