I had a long countertop-buying journey but after finding C & C, things moved so fast! I barely…read morefound them because I was only calling quartz dealers and installers, but I needed granite removed so I stumbled upon them through a Google search. I called one day (and spoke to a super nice guy named Chris), went to their office the next (and met a spunky gal named Carlee), then I had my measure a couple of days later and they installed my new quartz counter tops WITHIN A WEEK!! The whole process was so insanely fast that I still can't believe I have new countertops this weekend! Everyone I worked with was clean cut and made me comfortable to be around them. If you read further than this paragraph, you'll see I dealt with another company first and the guy that came to my house was dirty and stinky and I would not trust him to be in my home alone. Not the case with C&C though, as I did leave the 3 installers in my house alone while I made a ~20 minute phone call. Things I wish I had known going into this... Shopping wholesale slabs of granite or quartz is very difficult to make a viable option (cost-wise) as 90% of installers / install companies charge $40-45/sq to install your personally procured slabs. However when I called C&C they got my attention because they quoted me the cheapest amount for fabrication and install @ $30 or $35/sq. (Hard to remember which amount it was since they made me an offer I couldn't refuse on their in-stock quartz.) If you only need removal of your current countertops, they will remove your granite or stone for $7/sq. That's super cheap! The next cheapest quote I got was for $7.50/sq. The highest quote I got was $13.50/sq!!! Insane. My quest for new countertops actually sent me to Home Depot and Lowe's when I couldn't get a fabricator for cheap, but my big box store plan wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. HD contracts out installations to a place called Designer's Choice. I had a few questions as well as follow up from my laser measure and it was endless "Oh you have to call (insert the company I wasn't speaking with) for that answer." It was annoying and finally I said I just wanted to cancel the job and Home Depot refunded my money without hassle, luckily. We wanted quartz because natural stone has such huge variations and designs and we really wanted white countertops. Quartz is mostly "stone-like materials" and about 7% glue. It is not high heat hardy like granite and I didn't know that going into this. A hot pan will burn your countertops and we are used to granite so if I hadn't learned this, our countertops would be burned in no time. And speaking of hardy, my C & C install team told me the quartz is nonporous (unlike how granite is porous making them hard to sanitize). My installer specifically said "you don't have to worry about red wine staining your countertops. Liquids will just sit on top until you wipe it off." My husband actually drinks red wine every day and unfortunately within 8 hrs of install, we already have a very faint red ring on our countertop that did not clean up with a clorox wipe or rubbing alcohol. I'm going to get oxiclean to see if that will work. And finally.....seams. I refused to settle for seams in my countertops when the current granite I had didn't have seams. Seams are apparently pretty common so make sure you know how you feel about seams in your countertops and be clear if you oppose them. Oh and off topic but I have to say that fireclay sinks look so AMAZING and so clean! Gorgeous!

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!…read more We originally picked this company because they had above average reviews and they quoted us a fair price for granite installation. During the removal process of our countertops they ripped off a large piece of sheet rock exposing our pipes behind our kitchen sink. They stated they would fix it when they came a few days later to install the granite so we were not too concerned. Also during the counter/sink removal process they claimed they turned off our water, but when the installers returned 3 days later they discovered a slow leak that had seeped into our cabinets and under our hardwood floors. No one, including the companies' contracted plumber, could give us an explanation for the leak. To make matters worse the installers did not fully fix the exposed sheet rock they had promised to fix days earlier. We contacted the company that night and sent videos and pictures of the damage. The next day after 2 pm the companies' owner (Julie) called me to basically inform me that the leak was not her companies fault and I had to file a house claim. She seemed apologetic at the time of the phone call, and stated that the company would do what they could to help because they were a family-owned company who puts their customers first. The only other time I was contacted by the company after that conversation was a few days later requesting final payment for their services. I tried to call Julie again on the phone and she never returned my phone calls, she only responded back via text. The sheet rock they ripped out had not been fully repaired and Julie text that her installers would contact us that day, they never did. Not only did we have to pay our backsplash guy extra to fix our walls, but the company also installed our cooktop crooked. After all of this we had to file a house claim totaling more than $18,000 worth of floor damage from this "mysterious" leak that no one could ever give us a clear answer of the cause. A month and a half after getting the granite installed, our house is still under construction from the floor damage and we have not heard from the company apologizing for anything. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! The owners seem to not care about their customers but only care about your money and if damage occurs their advice will be to file a house claim.

Down to last minute to get final choices, not thru my doing. After installation saw corners on island not as we discussed - in person. Also one counter not what was in final emailed list. When I called to ask what type of stone this was so I would know how to care for it, I was told they would check on my order and call back. Now a month later, no return call received.

Hiring this business has honestly been one of the worst decisions I could have made. I originally…read morehired them to renovate 2 small bathrooms approximately (6ft x 8.5ft) in my home. The contract was drawn up and signed on 3/6/17. The sales associate, who apparently has now been fired, assured me the crew could finish each bathroom within 1 week each. Needless to say, it is now October, my daughter is 5 months old, and they are still not finished. Here is a list of all the problems and set backs that have occurred up to this point. In the first bathroom, the wrong tub was installed. Lucky for me, a piece of marble fell from the wall and broke the tub which then had to be replaced by the correct one. This meant taking down the marble walls that had already been put up. Second, the marble vanity top was installed. Unfortunately they cut 3 holes in the surface for my faucet after I told them it only needed 1. It was remolded and replaced. It took until July before the first bathroom was completely finished. Their supervisor apologized saying he just took over managing the crew and assured me the 2nd bathroom would be completed in a timely manner. I expressed to him that I wanted the same tile, marble, sink, fixtures, etc. as in the 1st bathroom. In the 2nd bathroom, the wrong size shower pan was installed. It was removed and corrected upon the next visit. After which the tile was installed. I was furious when I came home to see they had used red grout between the gray tiles (in the 1st bathroom gray grout was used and the extra grout was still sitting in my garage). They had also installed the vanity over the tile as well as the commode. They dug the grout up around my vanity and commode and regrouted the correct color. Red grout still lies beneath the vanity. The front face of the vanity was cracked after being screwed on and the toilet was not installed flush with the floor. There is a half-inch gap on the front of the commode that has been grouted. Apparently, the installer of the toilet and tile has been fired as well. They refuse to properly reset the commode. They did however bring a new face for the vanity, which they cracked again when mounting it. It still needs to be replaced. The soap insert installed in the shower wall is not the same color marble as the rest of the shower. They said they would come back to replace it. The wrong marble vanity top was also installed in this bathroom. They installed an oval sink when I had originally asked for a square sink (like in the first bathroom). They did come and replace it with the correct sink, but for some reason, the new sink was warped and unlevel. I let them shim it so that I could have a functioning sink. Now I am being told that the shower glass for the shower (that I had chosen off the gallery floor) is not included in my contract and they are not installing it. Someone mysteriously marked through it in the paperwork, therefore it was not included. In short, there is no structure or guidelines for consistency among the installers, poor communication between the sales person, manager, and installers, and poor supervision of what is being installed. All I've heard are excuses for poor workmanship. Also, be careful of what you pick out on the gallery floor, it might not really be included in your contract!
