I texted on May 23rd saying I had not heard from the technician. I never did hear from the technician, and no one came on the 25th. No follow-up from the company. On June 3rd I texted them again saying I had not heard from them, but we still wanted to do it. Rescheduled for Monday June 9th. On the preceding Friday they asked if we could move it to Tuesday the 10th. I said fine. On Tuesday morning they told me it would not work for them that day, and that they would knock $100 off the price in consideration of the repeated inconvenience and come on Wednesday, today, the 11th. Our general contractor recommended Scott and Enviro Excellence, and we are very glad he did. As others have mentioned here, Scott was a consummate professional: he was incredibly communicative, on-time, and very, very thorough. We appreciated that throughout the entire process, Scott was more than willing to explain what he was doing and why it mattered. He was required to take a number of samples from throughout our house, but did so in a way that was not overly disruptive and in a way that wouldn't look too bad in the stretch before any holes made get repaired (or completely ripped out). He met all timelines he promised for delivery of the results and was incredibly helpful in talking us through not only the results, but what they meant in terms of next steps around abatement. While we never wanted to get news that we had asbestos that needs to be taken care of, we were lucky to have Scott help us to understand what that meant even to recommend some people who could do the work to clean the asbestos up. Radon Safety LLC quoted the sellers $1398.00 for the installation. I received the check at closing for the work to be completed. When the radon company tech came out, he said it would be an additional $300.00 because he had to hire another company to core a hole in my foundation. He then had to make a call to coordinate with the other company to set up another appt when they were both available. I had to take another day off of work, but they both showed up and the job was completed in about 2 hrs. At the very least, they should have requested what type of foundation the home had before quoting the work. I called the office to tell them they should honor the quote, and I was told by Amanda that the extra cost was "unavoidable". It was ABSOLUTELY AVOIDABLE had they quoted the job accurately! Not happy that I had to pay the added charge out of my pocket when I could have received the entire amount from the sellers. Beware of the extra charges from this company.

never going with the cheapest quote again. they rescheduled 3 times before a technician finally…read moreshowed up. i was given the expectation this job would be 4-5 hours. the first technician that showed up was on and off video calls with his family for an hour at a time, speaking Spanish very loudly. when he began working, he drilled a 4" hole through the concrete next to a drain and hit a drain line. then he drilled another 4" hole through the concrete slab. he also cut out a large section of floor joist that was completely unnecessary. then he went out to his car for an hour and then brought in all the material and then used Google Translate to tell me he was done for the day, and he would be back another day, but didn't say when. it was already 5pm. I called Ryan and let him know this was unacceptable and I would just have someone else do the job. Ryan persuaded me to give him another chance and gave me his word that he would repair the damages his technician caused. he wouldn't discount anything from the quote. the following morning a different technician arrived and had no idea what he was stepping into. as he was finishing the install, Ryan showed up and began yelling at him about the damages the other guy caused. I'm surprised that guy didn't get violent with Ryan. Ryan didn't even repair the drain pipe or fix the concrete or acknowledge the cut in the floor joist. a crew showed up the next day and repaired the drain pipe. and then another crew showed up the following week to repair the concrete. the floor joist has still not been repaired and Ryan has blocked my number, I had to call him from a different number, and he hung up on me. This is the most unprofessional hack job of a company I've ever witnessed. I should have gone with any other company.
