The sweetest souls work here and the animal feeding area/petting zoo is incredible! When you arrive at Taylor Farms, you step into the cute little country store stationed at the beginning of the farm. The store is stocked with farm products like yummy cheeses and icecreams but also food and home products from local businesses like soaps, etc. My daughter picked out a scoop of her favorite VT icecream, maple walnut and wandered the store. I stumbled upon the "feed our animals" station near the store exit. You can buy the farm animals food and feed them yourself! The store associate welcomed us to go see the animals even if we didn't buy any food for them. You could tell she really loved them. We bought a variety pack for the animals which consisted of carrots, an apple, a bag of homemade cheeseits, and chicken feed (corn meal?). My daughter had a ball feeding the donkey, cows, chickens and cat! We had a ball watching her experience new things and support a local farm! We hope to come back someday soon!

One item was Side Hill Farm's Maple Apple Drizzle. It was fantastic, so I ended up buying a jar to take home with us. We just finished the jar and I decided to look up Side Hill Farm. Luckily for us, they sell and ship their items! I did not realize that they had a lot of other jams/drizzles as well. I ended up buying 4 more jars of the apple drizzle, as well as 4 other jams. They were very quick to ship out and I had my purchases within a couple of days! I have already opened up one of the drizzles as, well as the peach jam (very very good!), can't wait to try others. The only negatives: I was going to buy 10 jars, but the shipping charges changed when you went up higher than 8 jars. So it may have been worth it had I purchased 16 jars, but the price per jar was more expensive at 10 jars vs. 8. I do get it now that I see their packaging, it perfectly fits 8 jars. The other negative, the drizzle we bought in Vermont, was probably 95% apples, with 5% liquid, so it was a very thick filling drizzle, which I loved! Seeing these newly shipped jars, they are probably 75% apples, with 25% liquid. It was a very noticeable difference since I see so much liquid. It is still very good and I would buy again, I would just prefer the thickness with the apples taking up the space rather than so much thin liquid. Give them a try if you have a chance, I have liked everything that I have had so far!

Traveling for work and stopped in for an iced coffee before hitting the highway. Watching this process was prob the most painful 20 minutes of my life. The counter person who took my order/made my coffee took about 3 minutes on each step. Ice in the cup - 3 minutes. Coffee grounds in the machine - 3 minutes. Milk in the cup - 3 minutes. Conversation with a co-worker about filling the coffee machine later - 5 minutes (in the middle of my order). There were hamburgers and fries ordered after my coffee that came out first. The final straw was watching them add 6 coffees worth of chocolate syrup to finish it off (they had already added enough for one drink 12 minutes earlier). It looked so bad I walked away before they could spend another 3 minutes finding/putting a lid on. Unfortunately I paid first, so I ate the $6 and walked away, incredibly disappointed. They may have been a newer employee, but it was clear no one even gave them a quick course in how to put coffee, milk, and chocolate syrup in a cup...

Super creamy and sticky with subtle flavors of maple syrup immersed throughout melts in your mouth and leaves you feeling like you want more! In February and March, their Sugar House is open and you can request a free tour of how they make and bottle their maple syrup. From the tapped trees to the raw syrup in vats, to boiling the syrup and taste-testing, the owner and the staff were very knowledgeable and great with kids! They also have a small animal farm that is always fun for the kiddies. It's a great place to stop by, taste test, take a tour, and shop!

Lots of great sandwiches, a great selection of prepared food, and Vermont beers. Sometimes they even sell the elusive Heady Topper. Sit outside in the shade by the picnic tables. On a perfect vermont summer day this is the peak of fine dining.

**November 2025: Tuesday Early Afternoon Visit**…read more For my Vermont portion of the roadtrip I really wanted to visit a maple syrup farm. I called the day before to confirm hours and inquire on potential tours and they indeed were in operation despite the cold season. We arrived around 1pm and entered the small gift shop which had their maple syrup on display in various sizes. They also sold some Vermont made Jam, homemade magnets and some other souvenirs. The shopkeeper greeted us and agreed to give us a tour and educated us about the maple syrup process. She took us out back and told us and showed us the blue pipes that transport the syrup to their backhouse which then heats it up so all the liquid dissipates. At the end of the tour we got to sample both the Medium Amber and Dark Robust syrups. My friend and I definitely preferred the Medium Amber. I bought small maple leaf shaped jars as well as the maple candy to bring in my checked bag and my friend asked if they could ship his gallon to California. This maple syrup has a more molasses taste to it and I think I'm ruined on store bought generic maple syrup lol. Overall, a fun visit!
