Good folks, good food, fair prices. Not to mention hot soups, take-home dinners, and a nice selection of really good desserts and pastries.

Bromley Market is in Peru Vermont right on Route 11. It's just a little roadside place at first glance but when you go inside the shelves have good stuff. Eggs, bacon, pasta, beer, and wine. Just the basics but all good stuff. They have a smoker outside. It's a great place for pulled pork sandwiches. I have come here for breakfast sandwiches too-- like egg, cheddar and bacon on a portuguese roll. This place has a great little convenience store. Lots of great sandwiches, a great selection of prepared food, and Vermont beers. Sometimes they even sell the elusive Heady Topper. Sit outside in the shade by the picnic tables. On a perfect vermont summer day this is the peak of fine dining. read more

The Smoked Brisket Sandwich is to die for. I always stop here after section hiking the AT Trail up Bromley Mountain. They do Smoked Turkey , Pulled Pork, Ribs , and prepared foods as well. Awesome little VT style smokehouse deli right on route 11. Great for Aprés ski eats in the winter if you're skiing Bromley or Stratton. read more

Great place to pick up a whole assortment of foods! We bought some pulled pork, perfect rolls, apple cole slaw, and Mac and cheese and came home to heat it up for a delicious dinner. Easy, tasty, and minimal clean up. Ethan helped us out and he truly is an asset to that business. He went out of his way to help us. Will be back soon! read more

Right after skiing if you drive by and the smoker is rolling grab a pulled pork sandwich, they're amazing

We came here to pick up a couple sandwiches for lunch. Bromley Market has a large inside with a wide selection of baked goods, food goods, sandwiches and prepared food, and even a wine tasting area. I ordered: 1.) Tuna Melt - 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars if there wasn't as much mayonnaise. 2.) Buffalo Egg Roll - 4 stars. This was delicious and I loved the idea of it. I also appreciated having it packed after being warmed in the oven. 3.) Lemon square - 5 stars. This was the best lemon square I have ever tasted. Melt in your mouth crust and lemon topping! If I was ever in the area, I would definitely stop by to pick up some treats or a quick sandwich to go! read more

Bathroom is "out of order" unless you are an employee. Vermontians want your money, but they don't want you there. Find a "good place" to pee. read more

This is specifically a brisket review, the store seemed nice enough for a small general store in VT. The brisket however.....was possibly the worst I've ever had. They asked if I wanted it warm, yes of course I do. They pulled out a container of pre sliced brisket from the fridge, about the thickness of store bought bacon. It was put into a plastic container, covered in bbq sauce and microwaved, then passed across the table to me. At this point I was already concerned, and upon opening the container the brisket somehow had no semblance of a smoke ring, no bark to speak of, and no smokey flavor. I was lured in by the ancient smoker on a trailer out front that had a nice blue smoke coming out of it and looked like it had been running for the last decade straight, which is usually a great sign. Please don't get the brisket but if you do grab a 4 pack of Heady's and shotgun those first. read more

Absolutely amazing business. The Three Pigs sandwich is excellent. We are going back in a day or two to eat here again. If you are in the area, stop in and eat something. Homemade treats for you to buy also. The employees are friendly and fast. read more

Not to be missed on your way to wherever your on your way through to. Don't let the modest exterior fool you. This place is legit in every way that counts. The shiny confections case greets you in all it's sweet stocked glory. Brownies, muffins, pie, cookies, lemon bars, whoopie pies, etc. This is what I like to describe as "thoughtful food." Someone who cares is making me something special, far from average, with attention to detail & quality. And I know that because of how it's presented and that it tastes delicious. That fat black smoker in the parking lot is fed with cherry wood. The smoked turkey had a nice ring of smoke, wasn't overly spiced but had good flavor and was actually moist. Sauce unnecessary! Creative menu board w a modern take on sandwich classics, salads, soups, prepared BBQ etc. Cool little wine alcove in the rear for tastings, retail, or maybe a mini party. Great selection of cheeses. They sell the organic delicious local bread Earth Sky & Time. Solid retail of better tastier condiments, local canned veggies, honey, mustards, chips, crackers etc. Coffee bar. The staff is friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about what they do here. How refreshing! Great craft beer selection like Lost Nation's Mosaic. read more

For a place that has eat in seating and not have a bathroom to use is just unconscionable. I stopped in today and looked around and some of the sandwiches looked good, but to sit down and eat and have a drink with a big sign on the front door saying 'bathroom out of order' (and judging by other reviews this is a permanent condition), I just said no, and left. I went down to The Country Girl Diner in Chester instead. read more

Love the Bromley Market! Great food, amazing dessert selections, and a great little market!!!

Classic, reliable Vermont market/deli. Every town has one. This is my local one and others disappoint in comparison. Super fresh ingredients, unique sandwiches, and the BBQ here is unmatched. They usually have the smoker out in the parking lot cooking on display. Old smoker they've had forever. Can't go wrong with a BBQ sandwich here. The 3 Pigs is the hidden gem: Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pork Belly, melted cheddar on a house-made bun with good sauce. Mind-blowing. Vermont's known for it's sandwiches, and this place doesn't disappoint. The breakfast sandwich here is notorious too. Get one on a biscuit. And personally, I'd stay away from the Philly Cheese. They're always too greasy. That's the only problem with the sandwiches sometimes. Sometimes, they're way too greasy. The Philly almost every time. Still good as hell though. The 3 Pigs? Never greasy. Only a little messy because of all the sauce. So good. Baked desserts here are also excellent; better and fresher than other Vermont markets. Big cookies and soft cakes. The Whoopie Pie is to die for! read more

Picked up 2 turkey and cheese sandwiches from their cooler today. Noticed that the tomatoes hanging out were orange but each of us took our first bite and noticed the roll was absolutely horrible. It ruined the entire sandwich. We each only took a couple bites and could eat no more even though we were both starving. We used to enjoy picking up a sandwich and drinks when driving by but never, never again! The market must have changed owners or management or something to now sell such horrible tasting food. A complete waste of over $20 for 2 inedible sandwiches. Definitely do not stop if you are looking for a decent sandwich. read more

I was very pleased to find this store as I was running out of gas and I was starving!! I filled up and went back in to pay, with no problems. (I have a Corporate Gas Card and sometimes it can be confusing for the cashier.) The young woman running the register was busy vacuuming and sweeping up to keep up with all the winter salt and gunk. She was very nice, fast, polite, professional and absolutely stunning. They had a fantastic selection of Baked Goods that all looked delicious. I also saw some really good looking sandwiches/subs coming out of the Deli area, but I was in a hurry to get out of the mountains because it was snowing. I can vouch for the Maple Walnut Banana Bread. A big piece for the the price and truly great! They pack a lot of stuff and services into a small store. I will plan my next trip by so I can try a sub!! This is a really nice place. read more

Everything you need is right here. Amazing breakfast sandwiches, varied and inspired lunch sandwiches along with prepared foods like as eggrolls, ribs, salads, dumplings, soups... you name it. Plus great beer and wine selections, necessaries and incidentals from band-aids to newspapers to chips and maple syrup and a fantastic collection of delicious homemade pastries, cakes and sweets in the deli case at the front counter. A go-to for locals as well as skiers dropping by from nearby Bromley and Stratton. Everything is delicious, handmade and fresh. Go for it. read more

Stopped in because we were on the road and saw the BBQ sign. Clean, well stocked with local products and the best BBQ sandwich we've ever had. (And we are foodies). Had the three pigs sandwich, which was as messy as I it was delicious! Staff were wonderful and atmosphere was lovely. Right down the street from Bromley Mountain and just up the road from Manchester. This will be our go to lunch spot when driving home from up north! read more

This market sits just off the road and down from Bromley Mountain, aptly named. It is a gem. Good soups, full deli and grill. It doubles as a general store as well and features authentic VT products. Have you ever felt personally victimized by a fine establishment? I have. I am heartbroken. I've been coming here for YEARS - "bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit, please." And today they told me they stop making biscuits? I can't believe it. And because not enough people order them? They just bought a new mixer SPECIFICALLY for biscuits and I have called many busy weekends and they've been sold out by 9am. Bromley Market, I once loved you but can no longer after this "business decision". Ps. Email me the recipe and maybe I'll smile once again. Update: Still no biscuits. UPDATE: THEY'RE baaaaack. 5 stars. read more

Awesome place and has really impressed ever since the new ownership took over, which I think is a couple years now. If I could give a "0" for horrible customer service I would!!! The long haired blonde, who will be taking ownership, does not know the first thing about customer service! She is rude and has a BIG attitude toward you if you're not a "local" BUT she sure will TAKE your money! The sandwiches are all greasy but ok and point of purchase items are OVERPRICED! The chocolate cake tasted like it was pre-frozen! This place will never get another cent out of me as long as the blonde owns it. Please SELL to someone who appreciates patrons from out of state that support local VT biz! read more

Best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had - & at a gas station no less. Great selection of deli meats, special sandwiches, as well as prepared salads & meals. Surprisingly amazing wine selection. Food is awesome but they're the only game in town and they don't open early enough for the working man to get breakfast and a coffee. Unfortunately that makes or breaks you. Love this place - our favorite spot for awesome sandwiches, coffee, take out beer and treats. The meatball subs are especially good.

About 30 seconds up the road from Bromley Mountain. Stopped for a quick sandwich after a day of skiing, not expecting anything special. Boy, was I shocked. Upon arrival, I took note of a large smoker manned by an even larger, bearded Vermonter. Entering, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly staff, all clearly busy, but still very willing to help me find something, or chat about the ski conditions. I got myself a pulled pork sandwich at their deli counter (which was divine), and sat myself down in their small, but well curated wine room. I consider myself pretty well-versed in wine, and I was thoroughly impressed by the selection. Additionally, they have local craft beer, baked goods, coffee, groceries, gas, tchotchkes, local art and probably more essentials that I'm forgetting. All in all, a one-stop-shop. We made a point to stop here once more before continuing our journey back to NYC, and will certainly be returning next time we're in the area. read more

A super stop for a quick sit down or ToGo lunch. BBQ meats are terrific. I've been in every couple of weeks this fall. Brisket, pork and prepared foods are all great. One day I'm gonna get the full rack of ribs because they smell incredible. Soups always look fantastic as do the pastries. Staff are all very nice so if they get backed up during lunch just chill out and look out the window at the southern view. read more
