I called and complained and they tell me they want to butt rape me for $98 for a technician call after I paid $500 for the higher equipment package plan. Stay away! I would love to hear any other reviews for any else working for Navy Federal Credit Union working from home during this pandemic. **Update** They just left and repositioning the receiver fixed my issue! Review bumped up to 4 stars.

Do outages occur, yes, almost always due to electrical storms. Does W2N keep me informed, yes. Do they answer the phone and keep you advised by email, yes. Can you talk to a tech, yes. In 2022 government promised rural folks high speed internet. Over half-way through 2025, how is that working for you? One company was able to gobble up the contracts in this tri-state area and lots of counties, apparently with no penalties for glacial progress bordering on non-performance. Price: appears to be in the ballpark of what people are willing to pay and what providers want to make it worth doing the job. Would I like it free, sure. It remains true: there ain't no free lunch. I believe there is visible economic competition that won't let the price rise much. Over the past 20 years, I've tried 7 ISP, that I can name, virtually all of the possible ISP in my area. W2N is in the top tier. I have no connection with W2N and I wasn't asked to provide my opinion, nor did I receive any compensation from anyone. Just thought some balance in reviews was justified.

I gave Winchester Wireless 5 stars, and I usually do not give a full 5 stars in a review. They have been one of the best companies overall I've done business with. As far as the internet service and speeds if you live in a rural area there isn't any other company in the Winchester Wireless service area that is going to be able to give you better internet speeds and customer service. The overall reliability and the consistency of the speeds depends on your location and if you can get a direct line of sight to the towers. I had a 2.4GHz antenna (non direct line of sight) and had a lot of ups and downs due to heavy trees. I worked closely with Dave the owner of Winchester Wireless and decided to build a tower to get me over the trees to get direct line of sight to fix my reliability issue. I now see a consistent 30-50mbps download and 10-15mbps upload speed. Not everyone is able to build a tower which is why they are constantly researching and testing new technologies to get the best internet service as possible to their customers. The owner Dave and his team have been very professional and easy to work with. I've had great response times and interaction when it comes to customer service on getting issues resolved. The owner Dave can come across direct at times, but if you talk it through with him he will go above and beyond to get it worked out for you along with the rest of this team.

The installation was a bit complicated, but Kurt's guys, Joe and Adam, stuck with it and didn't take the easy way out. The next day, a Sunday, a piece on the dish went bad. Excede told me I would have to wait three days for a tech to come out to make the repairs. This is after more than 50 minutes on the phone. I called Kurt, and he drove in from his home - 90 plus minutes each way - to hook me back up to the Internet. I am very grateful for his diligence and integrity in backing up his product. Cheers, Kurt!! You have resorted my faith! Thanks!

They are good, hard working and really get the job done right! In this business, they truly excel and do care about their customers, something other companies should do, but many don't give us the time of day. It is a relief to be able to call someone who knows and is willing to go that extra distance. They are really an asset and very valuable team and you're lucky to get their service and install!

It was dial-up and really, really slow. But then, for their rural customers, they introduced wireless via a radio tower and things improved - except for reliability. It would regularly go down for days and if it went down on a weekend, it wasn't until Monday when you could call and talk to someone. Otherwise, you had to leave a message which seldom got a response. (You will see this complaint about Visuallink a lot). And then there was (and is) email. Wow, since the beginning of the year, 2022, this has been a colossal disaster. The home website used to have a tab to click that would take you to your email, but they "migrated" to Zimbra (whoever they are) and for a month or more, I couldn't get email because there were no instructions, tabs, links, etc. to click on to get it. Then I wrote a complaint that opened a service ticket to deal with my question of how to access my email. The response was "We forgot" to add the tab to click to get email. That was four months ago, and the tab or link still isn't there. One must go to the URL address bar and type in "mail@visuallink.com." Then they sent a bill of $22.50 per quarter for my email "service." BUT they didn't tell me or anyone that you need to create a whole new account to log on to visuallink to pay. In other words, when you click on "pay your bill" you can't just put in your usual username and password; you have to create a whole new password and then remember it (how many passwords do you have and can you remember all of them?) BUT the website doesn't tell you this. SO, I tried to create a payment access and I had to get a temporary password from them to create a password. Guess what? I tried at least 4 times but it couldn't/wouldn't send me a password. Then I got an overdue notice. So, desperately, I mailed my payment, overdue fee and all, to their old physical address that was shut down in late 2021, though no one was told it was going to be shuttered. At that point I began migrating my email to another platform. As everyone knows, that takes time to contact everyone. Then I got another bill, and again, opened up a service ticket and was told just to snail mail it to the "owner's" personal address. That done, I got an overdue notice and fee once again. Well, my saga is just about over. I think I have contacted everyone I want to have my new email address though I will monitor visuallink to see if there are any latecomers who need to know my new address. After I am satisfied that all contacts have been switched, then it is goodbye to Visuallink. I advise you to say the same.
