I was blown away by Verizon Russell tech wizard Kamia Reynolds, who helped me transfer data and set up my new phone. I called the store not long before it was closing and Kamia told me to come and she'd stay on her own time to help me!! She is a force: so smart, efficient, skilled, and with a delightful personality. I'm old and used to folks not helping, but Kamia replaced a heavy, block of wood that passes for a chair in the store with a padded, comfy one for me. And she spoke in plain English, not tech jargon. Even so, it was clear she knows her stuff -- she managed to get my old, totally dead phone to work enough to transfer -- which a techie friend of mind couldn't do. I hope Verizon Russell recognize what a stellar representative they have in her, and how exemplary she makes Verizon Russell look to have her in the front line. This is the absolute worst store in the entire world, and I am sadly not exaggerating. My wife and I waited for an hour until the only employee told us that he was going to take a long time and that we should just go to a different store. Even worse, there were only two other people in the store; not sure how that would take so long unless you're truly, truly incompetent. I needed Verizon Residential equipment. The Verizon folks said I could wait 3-4 days or go pick it up at a "Verizon Store". I thought we need it ASAP so I asked to go to this location. FYI - This is a Verizon Authorized Dealer and not a "real" Verizon Store. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The staff was amazing, 3 employees. They were busy helping other customers. When one became available I gave him my order number and in just a few minutes the employee emerged with my equipment. My only trouble is the location. It's a very confusing area. On the map it shows the location is inside the "mall" - it's not. The location is outside the mall. I was so confused. Luckily the employee I talked to on the phone guided me to the location. The service here was pretty bad, as soon as we walked in the guy that helped us had a horrible attitude and disposition didn't really want to speak, and being weird. We said, "Hello, how are you doing?" and he responded after some time, "I'm... doing." ...Wtf is that? He was a darker skinned, heavy set African American (I'm giving such an in depth description so management can find know who he is, as I did not get a name). He worked on the evening of October 17th, 2022 around 4 or 5, something like that. Yeah he was awful, needs to go through basic training again, the training that goes over simple customer service skills, such as greetings to include; "Hello," "Good afternoon," "I'll doing well"... I thought giving a proper greeting was something natural, as human being but I guess not... really not acceptable especially within a business environment. He also wasn't helpful with my question in regards to my phone and got smart with me. Never going back... Hopefully Management sees this and addresses him, and this issue. This is absolutely the WORST Verizon store. Go in there if you want to look but then buy your phone online. I spent 3 hours the first day bc the woman there accidentally charged me $240 rather than credit me for the device dollars I had. The only way she would let me leave the store with our new phones if I paid the $240 that was her mistake! Then I came back the next day to get this resolved and spent another 2 hours there with the salesman being extremely rude to me! Now 3 months later, I have noticed that they messed up the $650 per phone trade in when the rude guy was trying to fix their mistakes. So, I called the manager who assured me he would fix it. I called to confirm it was fixed and he said I'd see the credit on the next bill. Next bill came and no credits. I just called Verizon @ #611 and the guy on the phone helped me and said he had fixed it. So clearly the manager had lied to me. I had also told the manager about the woman messing up on day 1 and the guy on day 2 being rude and there was no apology. I will NEVER go here again! Also, if you want to go to a store rather than order a phone online, go to an actual Verizon store. Because this is just an authorized retailer, they will charge you $35 activation fee per line but so will Verizon. So I had to pay them to mess up this many times and they never offered any apology or credits. If you go to an actual Verizon store, you pay the $35 per line just once. I went in with a SIM card issue that only a new phone was able to fix, but Darian and Steven both assisted me as much as they could and provided a level of customer service that pleasantly surprised me. Darian even stayed late on his shift to assist me in setting up my new device and made sure it was working properly before I left the store. I never got charged a dime for the help. A++ for service! I almost never write reviews, but my experience at Russell Cellular was by bar the worst customer service I have ever received, anywhere, EVER. I went in to purchase a new iPhone. I asked what the difference was between the various iPhone 13 models. The rep actually told me he had only been there for a month and didn't know the phones yet. I googled the answer and explained the differences to him. Not sure why he hadn't accomplished that in a month. He also wasn't aware of any of the prices. This store has no phones on display, so I didn't realize just how much bigger the model I chose was, or exactly how much it costs until after he finalized the sale. I took 45 minutes to discover he didn't actually sell me that phone, but instead sold me my own iPhone 7 for $1100. Fixing this and purchasing the chosen model took and additional hour. Transferring app settings and data was another exercise in stabbing in the dark. Through trial and error and no help from the associate I got the two hour process started. I voiced my concern about leaving the store while transferring the phone data, without verifying that my phone works. They laughed it off like I was crazy. Two hours later I had a new phone number. I also witnessed the rep tell a customer over the phone that he had to come into the store to schedule an internet technician. The supervisor told him it could be done over the phone but the rep didn't care enough to mention this. I saw that poor man waiting for at least 90 minutes for no good reason. This business talked me into getting an iPhone 14 and promised I would get $800 of credit to pay for it when they mailed back my old iPhone. That was in September. Months later I still see that I owe $800 for a phone I never would have purchased at that price. I wish I could give them zero stars.I did speak to someone there a couple of months ago and she said it was still too early for the trade in to show up on my account, so I should check again in 2 months. Finally, after forcing him for an answer, he told me to call my account carrier - my mom - which I did. She was simply trying to follow his instructions as to how to give me access to our family plan...6 separate times, my poor mom was waiting on the phone and my "attendant" had once again vanished to start pitching a plan to a new walk-in customer. WITHOUT my authorization and totally unprompted I returned home to find out that: they cancelled my Verizon Fios account!!! WHAT THE HECK?????? I just watched a maestro in action, bravo to Russell Cellular and Verizon, I hope you know what an awesome person you have. Amy Cherry handled a shop full of customers with various technology and account and attitude challenges, by herself, and solved every problem with grace & efficiency. She juggled multiple customers all at once, made us all feel like we were getting her focused attention, and everyone walked out with a smile. This was after we each waited half an hour+ b/c she was alone. You would have expected everyone to be irritable. Instead, she handled every problem and literally every person walked out smiling at others and commented how amazing she is. After going to several other Verizon stores to return a FiOS Network Extender I purchased online, as previously instructed by a Verizon representative on the phone, and being told that I had to return the equipment at a different location, I was finally able to make it to this location on a day that it is open. The staff at this store took my equipment and told me that I would receive a confirmation email after they scanned the equipment. I never received a confirmation email, so I called this store twice to inquire about the status of my refund, asking them if they could provide a tracking/confirmation number or just give me back the equipment I purchased. I spoke with a manager twice and was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received. They did not provide any information confirming that Verizon is tracking the equipment this store took from me, despite the fact that the staff previously told me that they would be scanning the equipment. For all I know, someone at this store could have simply decided to keep the equipment for themselves, at my expense. This is the worst customer service I've ever received from Verizon. As of now, the issue still hasn't been resolved after multiple phone calls and online chats with various Verizon departments. I'm now considering switching to another provider. read more

I was served by the one customer service rep working on today at approx 10:30am. He was curt, disinterested and wore a ridiculous mustache that curled on each end. I only dropped off a Verizon router. I neither requested nor was I asked did I need to end my service. When I arrived home, the Internet was off. While I've had good experiences here picking up new or replacement equipment, I recently ended my service with Verizon due to a move. When closing my account I requested return equipment boxes be delivered to my new address in order to return the equipment on time. The boxes did not arrive at all, meaning the time I was allocated to return equipment without additional charges had expired by the time I contacted Verizon (nice move by them) However even after dropping the equipment off at this location I did not receive the confirmation email that was promised by the clerk and Verizon is still of the opinion my equipment has not been returned. Applying a $360 charge to my account. I would not recommend visiting this location (or subscribing to their service). read more

Awful customer service. They never tell you they are a franchise and can make their own rules and not abide by verizons standards. They lied to me about services and refused to take my phone back when I needed to return it. They claimed that they couldn't do it because a manager wasn't there. I called Verizon corporate and corporate said that was unacceptable of the store to do. Later I find out the store lied to Verizon corporate and said they would have refunded me for my phone but couldn't because I wouldn't pay the restocking fee. Devon(?) and Justin have to be the worst. All I wanted to do was return a keyboard that I bought from a Verizon store which at first I thought was this Verizon store. Devon started out being the rude one, flatly stating that they could not take the keyboard back because I didn't buy it there. They would not even let me replace it with the correct keyboard. I asked them if they knew where the other store was since it was in the same neighborhood and Devon laughed and curtly said "No" and then proceeded to turn his back on me and return to texting. I called him out on his lack of customer service and asked him his name. When he refused, I asked Justin his name which he also refused to give me. I then asked Devin who his supervisor is and he pointed to Kevin. At that point Devon provided his name but Justin still refused. When I threatened to contact the home office, Justin relented and told me his name. That is why I am able to tell this story with their names. My fiancé then told them that he had never seen such poor customer service and he was glad he had T-Mobile which always has good customer service. At that point they started mocking my fiancé's voice and Kevin--the "manager"- asked in a loud sneering voice why we were still there if we were T-Mobile customers. They both laughed and heckled us out of the store. I am 57 years old and my fiancé is 65. In all my years, we have never been treated so rudely. But, things got worse. When we called Verizon to complain immediately afterwards, I was shocked to find out that I got more of the same. The Verizon customer service man was slow to respond and understand. He said I should hold while he called the store and promptly hung up. He did not ask if I wanted him to call or why (did he not believe me?) or if he would call me back to report back. 15 minutes later he called back and said he could not find the store or the phone number. He also said he would give me $20 for my troubles which I declined. I gave him the information and the same thing happened again. When he left me on the line a second time, I hung up and never heard back from Verizon again. I did see that they adjusted my bill by $20. I guess Verizon felt they had done their job. Well, some things can't be solved by throwing a measly $20 bill at someone. The writing is on the wall. I will be leaving Verizon as soon as my contract runs out. T-Mobile is cheaper, friendlier, and has the same coverage as I have learned through my fiancé. So instead of Verizon keeping a loyal customer who might have persuaded her fiancé to join Verizon as well, they lost us both and hopefully also anyone else reading this post. Verizon has become a lazy, complacent, sleeping giant while T-Mobile is a young fresh company eager to please their customers. It is clear to me which is the better choice read more
