    My response back to Astound:…read more I made over 7 attempts to have by quote fixed to no avail. Astound kept increasing the price from $177 to $208. So happy I am not a customer. I saw their true colors on how they didn't care and they didn't want to fix the issue. Also, ASTOUND kept saying they don't have this information on the quote. I sent their own email to them 3 times with no resolution. I believe all the bad reviews on this and other websites. ASTOUND is merging with another company if you haven't heard. ASTOUND has 3 emails from me so they have the documentation. I asked to speak to a manager and they said 24 to 48 hours wait. I have notified the Better Business Bureau as well as the Secretary of State Office in Massachusetts with complaints about their deceptive sales practices and fraud. I was quoted one price and called to get it corrected and they didn't honor the price. I was quoted a price of $177 and when I called customer service they said price was $208. in addition, they didn't believe me as the customer even though I have a receipt of the amount. Customer Service said we see $0 dollars in our system since you haven't received your bill. How can Astound expect people to accept a service without a quote. I was quoted 4 free cable boxes and remotes and that wasn't honored. Overall, the worst experience ever and happy I am not going to be a customer. Clearly, they don't care about the customer and don't know how to provide sales quotes. Don't believe their sales since they will charge you a separate price. Be aware, you are not locked in for 5 years on the price. That is only internet, so be prepared for large increases. DONT TRUST ASTOUND SALES OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY LIE ABOUT PRICING AND SERVICES.

Late last year, I had Verizon Fios installed at my home in Medford, New Jersey. This spring, when I activated my sprinkler system, I was surprised to see water shooting everywhere. I called my sprinkler company (not aware that it was caused by Verizon at that time) and they quickly identified that Verizon had "plowed" through my system and done some damage. I paid the sprinkler company to repair it and submitted his invoice, along with clear photo evidence of the damage to Verizon. That Sunday (before 8 am), a Verizon technician arrived and knocked on our door -- unexpected and pretty early on a Sunday. He inspected the area and said we'd hear back. My wife followed up (when we didn't hear back) and was told that we needed to submit the irrigation company's invoice and photo evidence? (We had already done this?). But, we complied and sent it again. To our surprise, we received a Release Waiver from a company called J. Fletcher Creamer & Sons? They were selected and subcontracted by Verizon and, as a condition of them reimbursing us, they expect us to sign a release that says if there are any other damages from their install that we have release them from any further costs? First, we didn't pick this subcontract--Verizon did. So why would we even be put in the middle of this? Verizon should just reimburse us and then deal with the subcontractor they chose. Second, why would we release them from any other damages they may have caused? I doubt there are other damages but seems like an over-reach on their part to seek indemnification from us? I presented my position back to Verizon (with their subcontractor on cc) and am awaiting their response. Meanwhile, we're out a few hundred dollars through no fault of our own. Honestly, not a great experience.

    Rudest cell phone store I've ever visited…read more After a customer service call with Verizon resulting in them saying I need a new router, I ordered a new router online for pickup at the store. I waited an hour to go pick it up, per the Verizon rep's instructions. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, the in-store rep informed me he didn't have access to equipment and I'd need to come back the next day. I had called ahead and specifically asked about the store's closing time (7 PM) and whether they had access to the ordered routers. The rep on the phone said yes to both and that it would be no problem. So I drove over and arrived at 6:05 PM to find the door locked but people inside. I waited for a moment and the rep came to the door with a heavy sigh, saying, "We're closed." I relayed my earlier call and he begrudgingly let me in the door and said it would be a while. I've had Verizon for almost my entire adult life, and while the customer service is usually a bit janky online (not rudeness but more of people not having the technical ability to answer questions), I wasn't accustomed to this negative attitude in person. Note that when I returned later in the week to drop off my old router, there was a different agent who was perfectly polite and helpful. So the two stars in this review primarily reflects the rude experience I had on the first visit.

I had some questions for him as I was filling it out and he had us back to me. I had to ask him to turn around in order to talk to me. He was helping me with the service for Verizon provided and because he wasn't making a sale he could not have cared less.

    We were having issues with activating a new Verizon phone; after trying for 2+ hours with Verizon's…read moreonline chat support (including getting abandoned by our service rep), we thought, hey, there's a Verizon store close by in Bedford; let's make the 5 minute drive to speak to a human in person who might be able to help us. Little did we know that this shitty little establishment is not an actual Verizon store, it is a "Verizon authorized retailer." As we soon discovered, there is nothing helpful that they can actually do to support activation issues. On the subject of "helpful": the customer service rep who was at the store was one of the most arrogant, entitled pricks I have ever encountered in retail. After telling him our sob story hoping to garner a bit of empathy, this little douche had the gall to tell us that it would cost a $50 "activation fee" to complete the activation. After some clarification of our ask and a half hearted attempt at activating the phone, he said our only option was to call Verizon support... AND, that he could not make the call for us, AND that we were not allowed to make the call from inside the store. It was pouring rain out. The douche snottily told the three of us- two of whom were an elderly woman and a woman in a wheelchair- that we could go call them from our car. After incredulously asking if he was really going to make us go out IN THE POURING RAIN to make this call to support for the company whose logo was emblazoned on his store, he looked at me with a shit eating smirk on his face and said "Yes." In summary: if you want a helpful retail experience from a decent human being, do not come to this shit pile of a store, so that you do not have to deal with the arrogant, pig-faced troll of a virgin who works there.
