So this is the busiest location in Toledo. Great thing is we were greeted at the door and signed in quickly. We had recently lost an iPhone and were also upgrading another. The tech that was helping us seemed knowledgeable. My main complaint is the cost. We have been with Verizon since it was Great Lakes Cellular. Every time we go in the bill raises by at least $50. I wish there was a way to streamline the extra fees. If I wanted them to do the update it was an extra $30 per line. Two days later and I am still trying to update my phone. read more

Pack a brunch, lunch or dinner depending on when you visit, because you WILL WAIT. 6 employees and 2 with customers.. that went on for way too long in my opinion. If the greeter tells you 15 min wait.. plan on 30 min. Be patient because you will most likely get a rookie. Maybe a good one, maybe not. If Jill steps in to help, be prepared for her condescension. She knows it all. Be prepared to leave with issues unresolved, since they like to blame it on Apple, when it is a carrier issue. You're the carrier Verizon and you're the issue. Or call *611 with tech related issues and hit 0 to speak to a human. Their phone system is more confusing now but at least I talked to a friendly and helpful person who cleared up my issue with voicemails, in 1/3 of the time I spent/wasted in the store. read more

Updating this review again. I thought I had a positive experience yesterday. Today I find out the woman entered the address into the computer wrong and my phone is being shipped to a different state. Tried to have it corrected, they tell j had to call fedex and have them change the address myself. FedEx only allows the shipper to change the address. Now I'm told after its delivered to the wrong address I can file a complaint and they will re ship. All the while, I'm now waiting longer for my phone. Not happy. The woman asked me for the address twice, and still sent it to the wrong place. I should have just switched to Sprint. read more

Their poor performance has nothing to do with COVID despite this app's warnings. This store has earned 1 star for really poor customer service - they aren't helpful, they won't resolve technical issues in store, they are condescending, and they shame you for making mistakes that any consumer could easily make. These guys don't seem to understand that the average consumer does not have the same technical knowledge as a Verizon employee, so - unless you too work at Verizon, I wouldn't bother engaging with these people. I left the store with more questions than answers. read more

Mela Presto I have been having serious issues with Verizon since Jan 31st. The tech said that the incoming calls are not making it to my phone...huh?This is happening intermittently...how many calls am I missing that I don't know about?!? AND The new deal is after 10 pm you will not be able to talk to a human about any issue, emergency or otherwise. They now want you to "buy" extra coverage for "after hours " help. WTH!!!!! This place is awful! Waited over an hour just to buy a phone that I already knew I wanted. The sales guy acted polite at first until we turned down his 20 minute pitch, with his refuse to take no for an answer approach. After we said we didn't want the plan he was trying to sell, his demeanor did a 180. He became standoffish and arrogant, answering our questions only with smart *** responses. We bought a screen protector, which he did put on. However, he did not wipe the phone down before hand or take his time putting it on. Subsequently there is now a lot of dust trapped and air bubbles trapped underneath the screen protector. We noticed it on the way out and asked the girl at the front what we could do about it and she told us "that's the best it's going to get"... Needles to say we will never be going back to this verizon store and are considering switching phone companies all together. My wife and I have dealt with Verizon on Monroe St, Toledo for years. I am in need to purchase a new phone, but based on the reviews, I'm thinking differently. Someone at upper management needs to take a very close at the Manager of the store. If customers are being treated the way it stated in their reviews, action needs to take place ASAP. If I owned Verizon, these people would either be fired or new management would be in place. Most likely, the store manager does not have his/her pulse on what is happening between the customer and his/her employees. read more

I walk in the store to have a lady standing at the door with a tablet taking names. I saw one associate in the store and a handful of customers. I asked how long it would be and she told me 10-20 minutes. Unacceptable. I laughed and said nope, that is not worth the wait. I took a glance around and said I would go to another store. Hire more employees, maybe have the one put the tablet down so more customers can be helped?! read more

The employees used to be helpful and able to offer deals without acting like they were somehow heroes for letting you pay for a phone. But those days are over. If you want to be talked to like you're an idiot and to have every request you make thrown in your face like the customer service employee is doing you a favor, come here! As soon as I walked in she greeted me. I told her I was there for an upgrade and asked if they could help me with my old phone because it wouldn't upload my photos via USB. Without even looking at the phone or saying yes, she blamed it on "extensive damage" and said there probably wouldn't be anything they could do. Then she tried to convince me that if I didn't get the phone she arbitrarily suggested with a new plan I didn't need, I would end up paying $600 for a phone later. I told her I was very hesitant because I had been sold on a phone 2 years ago that has been terrible since day one and no Verizon employee has ever been willing to help me with it. She said, "I didn't work here two years ago" and that "all the wireless carriers are going to have the same phones." No apology, no sort of understanding. Then a manager came over and explained the same plan she was pushing, and she said, "That's what I've been TRYING to explain." Yeah thanks, I understand, I just don't want it and you're not offering anything else. Later, I told them both my previous experience had been awful and my phone had been awful and now they couldn't help me with transferring anything either, and she replied, "There are so many backup programs. It's not Verizon's responsibility to get you to use them." It wasn't even a backup issue, it was either a hardware or software issue that someone selling phones should probably have been at least able to look at. Later after tensions had settled, I had to ask every single question about phones to get her to sell me one and figure out myself the different prices. Then she tried to give me a hard sell on cases because "You're basically getting the phone for free and you're not going to find cheaper cases online" after I politely said I just didn't like any of the cases she had to sell. Finally, as she attempted to move my pictures over by apparently going above and beyond (by plugging the two phones into the computer; wow what a tech genius here) she said, "I'm trying to transfer everything, that's what you wanted right? So there's proof that we're doing all we can to help you with your phone." I just stared at her and she said, "So hopefully that means your experience will be better this time." I said, "Wow, it sure is now." After about 45 minutes, she said it wouldn't work. This isn't even everything. This post doesn't do justice to her impatient and condescending tone and the power trip she was trying to go on by selling Verizon phones and then acting like they have no responsibility for the quality of the products. If you go here, prepare to either get screwed over or have to pull teeth to get a straight deal, and to be treated like an moron because asking to get what you want for the money you're paying is a major inconvenience to someone whose job is to collect your money and give you what you pay for. read more

Do not go to this store. They just try to sell you the phone with a fast pitch. I got my phone was not activated and when I went they gave me an 800 # to call to get instructions on how to activate it. Asked for the manager and would not come to meet with me. Finally told I could go next door and pay $15 to get it activated. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. They just want quick profit. read more

I wish I had been able to read these reviews before going to this location. This store (along a couple of experiences at other Verizon locations I have had) has convinced me not to renew a long term contract with Verizon. Verizon has been my contract provider for over ten years. I was told six different things in one 90-minute interaction with their staff when I went into replace my phone which I had broken beyond salvagability. First, I was told I had no insurance on my phone. Next, I was told I could pay about 300.00 to get an upgrade. Then, I was told, no, it would be 500.00. Then, feeling completely railroaded into the purchase and explaining to the person on the phone completing my contract, I heard her say when I handed the phone back to the clerk, "She wants to do this even though she can get a replacement phone through her insurance?" He went on to say that my insurance had been dropped in 2014, and she went on to tell him that no it had not. Then, the clerk told me it would be 200.00 for the deductible. It was 150. Also, I asked him if I could walk out with a phone from the location that day. He told me I could. Then, he denied that I asked him that question and told me that the phone had to be sent to a residential address (inconvenient because I was staying at an Airbnb). It was an absolutely exhausting experience, and I now don't just look at them as bad customer service reps but as scammers who try to use bait and switch and other deceptive practices. I am going to finish my contract w Verizon and then probably do only pay-as-you-go services from now on. I pay 2-3 times more for my service than I would if I went through a less-expensive company or opted out of contract. I thought it was worth it if the service and coverage were better. Obviously, the service is not better, and I need to make wiser choices regarding this expense. read more
