After several minutes of interaction it was clear Armando was poorly outfitted and did not know what he was doing. He was a business rep that we made an appointment with and the store had not business reps even though they made an appoint for business rep. Quickly he began patronizing me at which time I decided I was leaving and transferring my business to AT&T. As I was leaving he made a snarky comment and manger came over and got confrontational until I showed him my confirmed appointment. I walk right in told the sales guy what I was there for and how I wanted someone to walk me through the differences in the features of the new iphones because i'm about to upgrade but want to see it in person before I order, they show me where the phones at and offer absolutely no help at all just stand there and watch me as I aimlessly stare at the new iphones while nobody helps explain anything, nobody tries to sell me on anything or ask what it is I am looking for, the sales guys all stand around at the front and expect you to figure it out yourself. There is no customer service at this location. Nobody asked me for my account information, what iphone I currently have, or told me what deals were going on. It was a very simple problem, we had not received our replacement phone. Ricardo was able to go over the notes on the account and figure out a way to solve the problem. If you're going to deal with Verizon go to this location. Dillon the manager helped us out. We had been dealing with a 5 day headache trying to fix our account with some other issues. Because we were dealing with associates in Scottsdale and Fountain Hills who have HORRIBLE service along with horrible hold times and confused employees over the phone we decided to go with AT&T. We went to Verizon to get a refund but was amazed with how competent Dillon and Pablo were. Super friendly, on the ball, sharp as a tack, and very enthusiastic. I feel if we had went to either Dillon or Pablo in the first place we would not have encountered the problems we've faced. The gentleman who just helped me with device return and future setup was great and very helpful with adding the Military Veteran discount. In addition, while in the store about 30 minutes ago I overheard a guest say something extremely offensive and racist. The way the gentleman who was assisting him handled it was unbelievable. He was patient, unresponsive to the racial insult, continued to help him and remained completely calm. Most of us would've snapped or refused to continue assisting this customer. I just wanted the store manager and this employee to know what was overheard did not go unnoticed and the reaction from the store associate was something that beyond impressed me and will stick with me forever, especially given our current culture. So I went with my family to get new phones. I'm holding my 9 month old and we walk up and the guy meets us at the door and says we can't come in without an appointment. There's no one there at all. We are the only car in the parking lot. I tell him we want to sign up and get two lines. He says he can't help us. Then I ask about the manager at another branch down the road and tell them they were worthless asses. All fo a sudden a rent a cop security guy walks up to the door and leans on the handle and stares at me. He looks at me like he is gonna do something. I ask what's the deal with this guy and the salesman told me he's his security guard and that I should go on the website and make an appointment and walks away. I needed a new phone when my iPhone committed suicide. I had Sprint for 10 years and their customer service kept getting worse while the bill kept increasing. Initially I went to Best Buy because I hate the pushy sales reps in stores, but decided to check the Verizon store. Jason helped me right away. I just wanted the cheapest smartphone I could get on a prepaid plan. He pulled up all the promos and found a really great one - a Galaxy J3 for only $20. No BS, no pushy upselling, just "Ok, let me go grab one". Yay! Even let me use one of the store computers to try and get my Sprint account number - I had just come from Sprint and they were as unhelpful as possible in that matter. Jason made sure everything was working and that my number had ported completely before I left. Least stressful, least expensive smartphone buying experience ever. read more

This is NOT sharing, there is a problem with Verizon that they refuse to acknowledge or fix. This same problem is mentioned many times in the Verizon Community blog. Again today, on both phones I am getting the same response when dialing the same number. "Welcome to Verizon Wireless, your call can not be completed as dialed, please hang up and try again". My Verizon Nightmare: How my 63 day experience with Verizon exposed major problems with their procedures, protocols and culture. In a nutshell....I ordered 3 new phones on Oct 2nd in order to migrate my current cell service to Verizon. I only received and activated one, but was immediately charged for activation fees, monthly service and protection plans on all three phones. I waited for the two remaining phones; then Verizon cancelled the order, and the bills mounted. After over 20 hours spent in retail stores and on phone calls to customer service and billing, the truth became clear. Verizon was large enough to make big promises, but too bloated to offer true customer service. Everyone wanted to help, but no one really could. Or would. Everyone felt terrible about my horrific experience, but no one actually fixed the problems. On my final visit to a retail store (Tempe, AZ), I was promised that I could return the one phone on our account, close the account and be done with the nightmare. They promised my bill would be corrected and I would only be charged a $50 restocking fee. Unfortunately, Verizon failed to put me as the account owner and I was unable to access the account online. I have never received a correct bill or a final bill. However, I have received threatening notices that I will soon be sent to the collection agencies for not paying an inaccurate $1000+ bill from them. Promises? Yes. Delivery? I know for a fact that these representatives, including the manager, lied to our faces and made us wait outside LONGER and FOR NO REASON, ultimately denying to help us after nearly an hour in the heat. This is what happened.... Initially 20 minutes in, my girlfriend asked to wait inside as she has MEDICAL CONDITION that keep her from wanting to wear a mask and can make her sick when worn in the heat. Upon entering to make this simple request, we were greeted like criminals and hostility was flying from rep (Sid) who literally had the security called over before we even had a chance to have civil discourse or even talk to a manager about our situation. Absolutely shameful. He was not AT ALL accommodating or understanding, nor trying to be in any shape or form. This is when the manager advised she would help with at least our technical needs (SIM cards, our order placed through customer service magically couldn't be fulfilled even though the rep on the phone assured us they would be available...), however, she did not at all seem concerned with the fact that her rep had assaulted us with the worst customer interaction I HAVE EVER HAD. She then proceeded to essentially filibuster me, by making me wait an addition 40 minutes in the heat, letting other people in the store AND DENYING ME ACCESS because "they can only have 1 rep per customer and the manager was helping me" I waited 40 more minutes in the heat, and for them to ultimately tell me they couldn't help, right at the closing bell 5 o'clock for the day so we couldn't go to another location and get help. This store is literally the reason I came back to Verizon. I called shortly after they opened and spoke to Charlie. He is the store manager. Charlie was extremely polite and listened attentively. He apologized (even though it was not his fault) about the awful customer service I had previously experienced at another Verizon location. He assured me if I was willing to come in they would take care of me. Charlie assured me I would be taken care of as soon as those before me were taken done. Charlie set me up with Tony. Tony was very polite, helpful and informative. There were a lot of hoops to jump through to get back with Verizon and keep my number but they made the entire experience smooth. The entire atmosphere at this store was very inviting. I would highly recommend this Verizon location overall but extra shout out to Charlie and Tony! read more

I LOVE Verizon, however, the customer service provided here was sub par. I headed into the Verizon store after receiving a call about an upgrade and a plan change that would save me money. I walked in and I was greeted by a man with red glasses of Asian descent. I told him I received a call about a plan change thats cheaper. He then said that I can do that on my phone, and it would take longer for him to do. He then told me to open the app so he can show me. He was unable to find the option in-app. He then said he had to make the change. After the change I asked about upgrades, group plans, and costs. He then said, you can call customer service for those answers, and always referred me to the app, and customer service. When he spoke about upgrades, he never showed me options, and offered one word answers with little interest in trying to get me to upgrade. I give 2 stars to this store. Why was I called to come into the store, to be referred to the app(which didn't offer the plan), and to be redirected to customer service? I had to call customer service to get my bill retro activated, which the in store agent told me I cant. This was a sore experience because I love Verizon, and was treated me like I wasn't wanted or welcomed. I have had numerous bad experiences at this Verizon Wireless store. I have been lied to by several employees about what I am being sold and will NEVER return here. Two prime examples: 1) I was told that since I had a tablet and phone on the same account, I could add a home line and my bill could be "bundled and reduced by about $20-30 a month" so it was "silly not to do this deal". Well, I took the bait and ended up with an extra line I didn't need and actually INCREASED my bill by $20-30 a month instead of reduced it, like I was told. I tried to cancel after the first month and my bill was ridiculous however it was outside of the 14 day return policy and I had to pay an extra $150 to do so!! Well, silly silly me decided to go back since I needed a new phone and they are the closet store to me....... bad idea!! 2) I just purchased a new phone 13 days ago from this store and they refuse to return in even though the phone clearly has internal issues and registers touches all over the screen at random given moments - making emailing business clients impossible since it sometimes sends messages or types things I didn't ask it to do. I found out today, which I was NOT told initially, that I also no longer have a warranty on this phone since it was purchased on a different line and switched to the one I primarily use (since I needed an upgrade and didn't have one). Mind you, I had to purchase a new phone because someone screwed up at the store and didn't put the insurance on my phone when I asked for it multiple times (I'm adamant about this because I have terrible luck with phones). If I had had insurance, I could have gotten my phone replaced. Since I didn't, I had to get this new phone that is also messed up. Which they will not return, even though they said I had 14 days for exchanges, per their policy. I highly recommend anyone to STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON, ESPECIALLY THIS ONE!! I went to Verizon at Tempe Marketplace on a weekday after I got off work because my phone was making a random beeping noise every 15 minutes that was unrelated to my battery, so I wanted someone in technical services to take a look at it and show me how to make it stop. Once I entered the store, I signed in using their kiosk and waited patiently for over 30 minutes. After my name was called, I went to ask the lady to look at my phone, only to discover that they DO NOT have anyone in technical services at that store, ever, which means that there is no one to help when customers are having issues with their current phone. The next closest store to me is at 16th St. and Camelback Rd., which from now on I'm going to exclusively. The only thing they could do was switch out my phone for a new one, however, they didn't have any in stock, so I would have had to go to another store anyways. Talk about a pointless trip during rush hour. Bottom Line: Try another Verizon store, not this one! read more

This is my experience at this store and with the customer service telephone center: After 3 hours on the phone trying to upgrade and being told different things by 2 different employees, I ended up getting harassed by a person named Samantha at the call center. She blocked the customer service number through my account and also changed my plan to the most expensive plan available without my authorization. She called me back multiple times and just sat there saying nothing. I then started sending the calls to voicemail where she left a 3 minute message. I had to go to this store to be able to communicate with Verizon as she blocked the number. The GM made me wait for over an hour while he was on the phone. Will finish review later. The GM, Jason Stocker is condescending and also has attitude. Now, I acknowledged I am upset for waiting so long and also being harassed by an employee at their phone center but this guy is also being rude and has a lot of attitude. JASON STOCKER in my opinion has completely botched this whole situation. This is a prime example of the overall attitude for customer service at Verizon. I now see how it is employees feel they can be rude as this is the example set by upper management. I would go to the other location on 44th street instead. I have had better experiences...if you are going to go with Verizon at all. Update on review: So , the complaint on the psycho employee was never registered in the notes. The manager knew in advance he was leaving so literally did nothing. I will no longer go to this store as it is the rudest Verizon store I have ever visited. Out of 5 or more visits for various reasons I have seen the employees time and time again be rude not only with me but other customers. I am shopping competitors because of coverage issues not just customer service related issues. I have been with Verizon for 8 years but the actual cell service has diminished. There is no or little coverage in a major metro area while my friends that have Sprint and ATT have more bars. I would avoid this store at all costs unless it is something super simple. Also, if you are counting on notes being entered into the system, forget about it, won't happen. The phone rep for Verizon basically said if it isn't in the notes, it didn't happen. Jason Stocker lied and didn't put notes in the system. He is a horrible manager and has failed at training the staff at this location. Costco has better deals and more choices plus better customer service. No reason to do business with these guys, especially at this location. read more

I ventured over to the Verizon Wireless store on Sunday afternoon because I was eligible for the "new every two" deal that Verizon runs. I wanted to upgrade my phone and ask some questions about plans for smartphones because the Verizon wireless website wasn't very clear. The store is very clean and laid out well with so many different phones on display that you can try out. There is an area to "check-in" when you enter the store. I didn't check in since when I got to the store, I was the only customer there; later when the store got busy, the check-in kiosk becomes important as it puts you in queue to be helped by a salesperson, customer service rep, or technician. I was helped by Katie (I think that was her name) and she answered all of my and my husband's questions. She explained the plans very well and made it much easier to understand than how it was presented on the Verizon website. She was so polite and helpful and even set up my email on the Blackberry Curve so I wouldn't have to figure it out. This is probably the best Verizon store I have been in, and I have been to 5 different stores in 3 states. By far this had the nicest layout, the most organized system to help customers, and the shortest wait time to process a transaction from sale to set up of device of any of the 4 previous Verizon stores I had visited. read more

This place is so shady. I was there for three hours, worked with management, and spent over $400. I was told that I had to switch my plan during my upgrade from unlimited data to limited. While this is true, the manager told me that I use 5-6 gig/month, so I went with the plan he suggested. Later after speaking with customer service on the phone, she told me that I have never gone over 2 gig and adjusted my plan accordingly. The sleazeball at the store further disclosed multiple hidden fees at the register, rather than being honest from the beginning. I went in there with a problem with my Iphone 4 and went in to see what they could do for me. The tech that was there, specifically named Angelo, was extremely unhelpful, he took one look at my phone and basically laughed. Then proceeded to tell me there was nothing that he could do for me. I asked him why and he said because it was accidental damage and I told him I had insurance and he said it did not matter. He didn't bother to look up my account info, he didn't bother trying to find some sort of solution other than paying 600$ in full for a new phone. The only helpful one there was the guy that greets you at the door. Failed to get his name, which I should have. So 37 GB of photos and videos lost at their fault but they got what they wanted because we are stuck to two more years of contracts. I'm not always a happy camper when I walk into the Verizon store, but I must say the last few times I have walked out a happy customer. Dare I say their customer service may have improved? I don't like pushy sales situations so when salesmen start trying to upsell and drop a bunch of lines, I get turned off. I know their job is sales, but I usually just try to do my own thing looking around until I'm ready for help. I'm very pleased with the iPhone warranty replacement I just received. It looks like a brand new phone. I felt like that process was really easy and I really didn't have to go out of my way or be inconvenienced. In the past, it took awhile to get the new phone and I don't remember the transition being as simple. (I remember losing contacts, photos and being without a phone for a few days on one occasion.) So this time around, life was gravy baby. Main gripe= too expensive. But you get what you pay for and I rather pay more to have a reliable phone service and quality equipment. read more

This review is a bit overdue but I realized I should leave a review on how frustrating verizon makes every process. I made the huge mistake of taking my phone to the river. I had a Galaxy S3 with a Bluetooth speaker I bought online, and which was waterproof unlike my phone. I put my phone in a couple Ziploc bags, which ended up being fruitless as the bags got water in them and my phone died. I put it in a bag of rice overnight but that didn't fix it. I pay for the damage protection plan so I called this store since they are closest and told them my situation. They instructed me to come in so they could take a look. I arrived and per usual they were moderately busy. I put in my spot in line and waited about 15 minutes which wasn't a huge deal. After waiting one of the "specialist" came over and asked me for my name. Once he confirmed that I was who was waiting, he gave me a card and told me to call or go online with that. I asked him if I could do this in the store. He said no. I then asked why I was told to come in, he didn't know either. Waste of my time and the situation didn't feel like they didn't even care because I wasnt buying anything from them. I wish there was a 5 star verizon store. read more

I have to say I'm overwhelmingly surprised myself by the fact that 2 out of my 3 interactions with this location over the past 2 weeks have gone phenomenally well! After a bit of a rocky start (this really should've only been 2 visits in the last 2 weeks), today I had an AMAZING experience in-store with La'Tasha Royal. Today, I was finally able to transfer off of my old corporate account, establish my own billing, activate my new Droid AND La'Tasha and crew also helped me transfer my contacts, apply my new screen skin...etc. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. La'Tasha knew her stuff and helped me with poise, grace and a friendly can-do attitude that is often rare from service providers (think about your last dealings with the phone company, cable company or dishwasher repair). Today was a breeze. Thank you La'Tasha and everyone else who hooked me up today and made this a simple, easy and actually enjoyable interaction! read more

Here's the drill: (1) Walk in. (2) Make sure someone signs you in. (3) Patiently wait for your name to be called. (4) Get whatever service you need. Here are some things you need to understand: (1) The world doesn't revolve around you. You need to get in line like everyone else. (2) When the new iPhone launches, there will be massive crowds. Visit at your own risk. (3) Workers are people too. When you show up near closing time, they're bound to get irate. While there is no excuse for this, it doesn't help to add to the anger. (4) If you visit near closing time and the workers ask you to come back another time because they can't possibly help you in a timely manner, you may want to take their advice. Besides, they're only telling you for your own good. (5) When all else fails, please see #1. I visited to have my phone activated. I followed the drill. Luckily, the wait wasn't terribly long. When I was finally called, the woman who helped was kind and patient and addressed all my questions. No fuss. No muss. When I was there, there seemed to be a lot of associates around helping out. No one pushed any products on me and everything ran smoothly. If you want a pleasant experience, you gotta know the drill and understand a few things... read more

I had a great experience at this location last weekend!! I stopped in Saturday morning 2/2 looking to upgrade my phone. Marcus helped me pick out the perfect phone for me, iPhone X max & let me know about promotions that we're going on. So I was able to get a glass screen cover (that he put on for me flawlessly), a cute Kate spade hard case & AirPods. I was in and out in a very timely manner! About 30 mins or so. When trying to activate my phone at home I had lots of issues so I decided to just come back into the store, 2 other men that were there were super helpful & Marcus saw me and came back over to help. I needed to go get something from home really quick & while I was in my Jeep driving my phone was activated :) really appreciate how he went out of his way to help me out even while I was not present. Can I give them NO stars because they literally refused us service and were of NO help. They said their policy is pick up only or appointment. I definitely understand the appointment policy so I asked if there was anyone coming in for the rest of the night, he said no. We have a whole hour before you close, I see 2 employees standing inside talking with each other and not one customer in the store. I asked if they could help, my sister and I just want information on upgrading our phones and she wanted a new Apple Watch. Yes, we tried online but kept getting disconnected and using their chat feature isn't the same a speaking to someone. He said we can order online and come back within 10 minutes to pick up our phone there. What ever happened to face to face customer service? So it takes 3 grown men to handout phones that people have already pre-ordered but y'all don't have the ability to assist people who want information on upgrades? Lazy and useless. read more

I was told that I was going to be paying under $110 with my work discount and the $20 promotion they have going on. My monthly bill is over $150, and I am not a happy camper. They cannot look your account up over the phone for "security reasons" (probably just a gimmick to get you in the store for them to have more opportunities to make money). So I took the time to go to the store and they helped me out leading me to believe that the $20 monthly credit would go back to the contract date, but when the bill came they just put the credit on going forward. I called the 800 number and they said I have to go to the store to get it figured out. I explained that I already went to the store and my issue was not resolved, and I do not have time to go in there every week to help them fix their mistakes. She was nice also, but "nice" does not fix continually misleading your customers and wasting hours of my time. They are nice up front, but just like most companies these it is about getting you in the door, but little care for what actually happens to you after that. These people at this location couldnt be better. Always have taken care of me, or my Wife with our phones. A couple instances: years ago, My Wife had a bad Blackberry. She exchanged it, and it crashed. This happened 2 other times. She brought it into the store, and swapped it out, and the tech guy saw the new one crash right before their eyes. he worked with the manager, who got approval to swap it for an android at no charge. Last Thanks Giving, My Wife found a phone she liked, and wanted, so we went to the store, not knowing what time it was. It turned out to be about 10 mins before they closed. They stayed open for 30 mins after closeing time, to make sure she knew all the features, and operations of her new phone. Any time we have had phone issues, they have helped, and with a very friendly, professional attitude. If one employee didnt know the fix, he/she would find someone who did. read more

I'd like to acknowledge the efforts of Store Manager, Mike from Massachusetts and Sales Rep Matt for their efforts in helping me fix a weird problem today at the Verizon Store. Long story short, I had a purchased a NEST Thermostat that ended up causing some damage to my house and so I asked Verizon's online customer service if I could return it. It was outside of the return window and a very abnormal problem so I was pleased when the online service told me that all I had to do was bring it into the store to complete the return. The problem was that the online rep never notated the account properly for the store to complete the return and never issued the credit to my account. I told Matt and Mike the situation and they offered to help. After about 35 minutes on the phone between Mike the Manager and Verizon's support team, they were finally able to work out a solution to complete the return and VZW's original promise. Mike could have easily brushed me aside instead of offering to help fix the problem and sent me back on the phone to VZW corporate. Instead, he stood up for the customer (me) when Verizon's customer service tried to finagle a way out of their return promise. That's true customer care - and I am very appreciative.
