So I recently had to go to's Verizon store to get my iPhone upgraded. I had called this store around 10am to see if they had an iPhone 6 plus and they did. I left work to purchase my new phone, trade in my other phone, and purchase some accessories. I need to be back to work as soon as possible and Pasha (Verizon rep) was able to take care of all of this in less than 20 min. Service was amazing, he really cared about my time, and made the whole transaction remarkably smooth. Would definitely go back to this Verizon store and ask for Pasha. read more

This is my first time visiting this location and i will say, as a former sales rep at Verizon I was displeased with my service. The rep rushed me, didn't care to find out how I use my phone, what features I wanted, he couldn't explain why there was such a price difference between my service and my friend who just received the same device I did, same plan, etc. I did not feel that I was listened to and again I was extremely rushed. Stopped in Tempe Town Lake store to see if they could transfer service to Verizon on my Galaxy S3. Store claimed I needed a new phone. I agreed if they could port my old number. Was told number would port by 5pm. The next evening, they were still unable to port my old number so I returned the phone and was told there wouldn't be $35 restocking fee since the phone was never activated. Days later, I received my credit card statement which shows only $162 credited back from the $227 I was charged. Customer service has yet to explain the $65 difference. I was wondering why I felt I needed a shower after talking to their sales people. I can't think of a single statement they made which ended up being true. I'm just glad I caught a peek of the complete lack of integrity that represents the Verizon brand before I got locked into a contract. read more

Avoid Avoid Avoid! Even if you live in Tempe, please drive the extra miles to your second closest Verizon location. I came into the store with issues transferring contacts from one smartphone to another after I was having issues with Backup Assistant. I went during an off-period so I did not experience a long wait like most reviewers did. But, I spent TWO HOURS in the store while associates failed to perform a simple contact transfer from the Backup Assistant/Cloud storage onto my phone. I ended up leaving with the promise that a ticket had been created and the issue would be resolved shortly thereafter. But , here I sit hours later and STILL no contacts on my phone. After two hours at home trying to figure it out and two hours in the store, I was very frustrated with my experience with Verizon and wanted to talk to the manager. Carlos was a grade-A jerk and told me that backing up contacts was my responsibility, EVEN THOUGH I HAD CONTACTS ON MY OLD PHONE AND ON BACKUP ASSISTANT. He said there was nothing he could do to help me since Backup Assistant is a free service, evidently ignoring the fact that I am a paying customer who just wasted half a day to not even get contacts put on my phone. Carlos and Co. have succumbed to the belief that they don't have to provide customer service at Verizon. CAUTION IS ADVISED! read more

Not to be trusted. While on a business trip in New York I notice that my cell phone will not hold a charge... as luck would have it - a verizon store is located across the street from my hotel... they check my phone. The result? I need a new phone - they no longer replace batteries- they replace the entire phone... this occurs 2 months AFTER my warranty expires... I don't believe in cell phone insurance... the warranty should last as long as my contract - right?!?!?! They will, however, replace the phone if I immediately sign up for insurance... what a scam... read more

Today I went in to Verizon after having gone in the week before to activate a friends phone until my new phone came in the mail. After having got my new phone I got it activated with absolutely no problems. Being in an overall gloomy mood he asked me what I had planned for that weekend and I said hopefully dancing to which he responded "thata girl", way better than not having your phone to go out last week haha I know it's not a lot but sometimes its the littlest things that make your day. I ended up walking out of there a happy girl with a newly activated phone and a phone case that I got for 25% off, which surprisingly ended up being cheaper than any case that I could find at target. This location is literally full of salespeople who either lack integrity or are incredibly and hopelessly incompetent. My wife and I have gone in this location for upgrades, tech support etc. and they always tell us one thing that we find out was the half truth later on down the line. Stay away from this location. They care about one thing, and one thing only -- their commission checks. Absolutely disgusting. Honesty must not be top of mind for these people. The location on Alma School is way better. I wish I could give them a zero! Kemel sold me something that isn't on my account and left me hanging. The Manager Matt (THE WORST) never follows up, and lies constantly! The GM Jesse never follows up, and never once even offered to fix my problem. I'm now waiting for the District Manager Rosanne Rocca to call for the last week! I got 4 phones on the BOGO free i phone deal back around December 14th 2019, and we can't add Apple Music and Disney + for free (Like Matt & Kemel told us we could), because it's under a business line. W originally set an appointment to return all phones in Mid December 2019 (around the 18th or 19th) and have everything switched to personal lines because customer servive told us we can't add disney+ and apple music to a business line. When we get to the Verizon store Matt says Great News, I fixed everything and you don't even have to switch to a personal account. Now it's 2 months later and still no apple music and disney +. He blows me off saying he is going through a seperation, that he can't reach his own customer service dept., that this is completely his fault and he will take care of us for the inconvenience, and as soon as we can't return phones to store anymore he says he's done all he can do, call customer service. Customer Service (who was actually really nice), said they could help and switch my account to a personal, and that this is so easy and should take about 30 seconds. But the store needs to do it so I don't VOID my BOGO on the I-phones. I've been trying to explain that for 2 months to Matt and he refuses to listen, says customer service is wrong and it can be a business account, and now that I can't return phones he went MIA! Now, my bill is a mess. They promised to supress the payment until this was fixed, and today ALL 4 LINES were disconnected. I'm shocked at how bad Verizon is, and the fact that this needs to get to the Corporate level over something so simple is absurd. I finally got my phones turned back on after 4 hours on the phone with customer service (800)922-0204, and they also gave me the number to Verizon Legal (800)451-5242 and encouraged me to call because they were very disturbed by what was going on. I will be calling to complain about the entire situation. Hopefully I hear from the District Manager but after a week of no contact I'm not too confident it will be anytime soon. I am writing to let you know about my experience at the tempe marketplace Verizon wireless store on Rio Salado Drive in Tempe, AZ. I had walked in with my fiance to get a new battery for my phone. We were greeted promptly and helped by a associate named Charlie. He went into the back to get the battery i had requested when he came out with the battery he (as well as pretty much the entire store) noticed a Giant dust storm moving in. He showed me the battery then walked past me to the window. I said that I wanted to purchase the battery and he (apparently excited about the impending storm) ran around in a circle towards the back. I called out id like to get home before the storm to which he replied "good luck" and went into the back to get his phone. He returns and goes outside to take pictures, brushing past us again telling us to "hang on". At this point we left without ever purchasing the battery. read more

Awful experience. My girlfriend in a full time student with two majors who also works two jobs. She has one night off a week. Her phone's battery life has gone down to just a couple hours and so she needed to get a new phone. We just wanted a simple upgrade so we went by tonight to get that done. We checked in where they took her name, phone number, and briefly talked with her. We were then told to just browse and wait and someone would be right with us. Nobody got with us. Nobody checked in with us as we sat down to tell us how much longer we'd need to wait. Over an hour later we had to leave and as we were leaving they told us we never even got checked in or on the waiting list when the guy talked with us for so long. We didn't have any more time to waste there, and even if we did I would not support a business that didn't just fail in customer service, but failed to even do their job. We came with dreams of a new phone, but my girlfriend ended up leaving in tears due to all the time wasted. No dreams here, only tears. read more

I shouldn't have gone back, but I figured it would be easy since I only did store pickup after ordering online. This time, three sales people tried aggressively selling me overpriced accessories. This, after I overheard one of them telling his buddy how he had managed to sell 50 bucks worth of crap to an old lady and that he won the bet. Hint. After calling Verizon Customer Service to find out if we could upgrade two phones on my account two days early, the representative assured me that it would not be a problem at all. I arranged a meeting at the store with my two daughters. I arrived early and was met by the manager at the door. I explained that we wanted to purchase two new phones, two days early for our upgrade. He said that the only way we could do that was by ordering them to be shipped to us and then coming in to the store to have them set them up for us. I explained my phone call and he said there was NO WAY to get around this issue. Meanwhile, as I am speaking with him,he is "signing "in people as they are coming int he door.I left and told my daughters not to bother coming. One of them called the Verizon Customer Service line, explained the situation and they simply changed our upgrade date to two days eariler. No,we did not returen to that store,but instead went to another one and said that they would have done it regardless of the change. The other store,Scottsdale Pavillions was less expensive with wonderful service! Our account is a business account and we will never return to that location. read more

I am in the process of trying to upgrade my phone, so thinking it would be quicker to pick it up in store I selected that option. When I got there some spaced out sales douche asked what he could "help" me with (I forgot his name otherwise I'd use it), I told him that I was picking up a phone that I ordered online. Well I can't because I wasn't an account manager, I was then told that I could come pick it up as long as I was an account manager. Being that it was close to closing I elected to return the next day. DId I get my phone on try number two? Nope! The person who is the account holder has to be there with you, with ID, with the card that is on file. I understand this is for security purposes, but it would be great if store employees could tell me the first time everything I need or will need to do in order to actually receive the phone, instead of trying to sell me some bitch ass tablets. Aint nobody need a damn tablet with these big ass phones now a days. read more

Just left the store however unnoticed as next to,be assisted by being acknowledged with a "be right with you" comment. My children,whom are older, and I waited by the demo units and they began turning the volume on the music speaker up and down against each other...which became annoying so I leaned in and turned it off. An employee comes over and turns it back on, in the middle of a different customer transaction, at which point I share why I turned it down, and he says "if we don't have music on in here there is this awkward silence." At this point I decided to leave because clearly this is not a customer service friendly location if customers merely being present creates awkward silences and further I had obviously turned it down by choice and was made to be an unimportant customer. If you wanted music continually on why keep the controls in the customer section? They can use some training on this topic. I gave the stars I did because during prior experiences there my children were readily included and didnt mind tagging along. Bummer. read more

This store is a joke. We have been with Verizon for years now. A year ago we had to open a new account for our business so all we needed to do was transfer some of our lines from an existing account to a new account. We got to the store 20 minutes before they opened so we could be first in line to get this done and over with and not have to spend our entire day there. We didn't leave until 30 MINUTES AFTER THE STORE CLOSED. We literally spent the entire day there trying to open the account and get our lines switched over. The rep helping us was extremely nice, but he had no idea what he was doing. His lack of knowledge with the business accounts is what caused us to be there ALL DAY from open to close. He kept messing things up, so we had to start the process ALL over again. The manager there didn't seem to care and never once came over to help, he just stood in his corner all day watching everyone. This happened a year ago. I have been in multiple times since then trying to correct errors that keep coming up with the account because of the way it was set up. I have had no success with them and they don't seem to care. Nothing has gotten fixed and my patience with Verizon is GONE. The customer service phone line is also a joke, nothing gets accomplished when you're on the phone with them. I'm currently looking for a new phone company who can handle doing the basics for their customers. I highly recommend staying away from Verizon. They only want your money and don't care about keeping customers happy. read more

I walked in to what seemed like a super busy store and was immediately talked to and helped. I have been in situations like that before were I have been made to wait in upwards of over an hour! Not in this case. Drake met me at the door like I was a celebrity or something like that.. Verizon Red Carpet status. :) I was helped with every question and even when we had to wait for my boyfriend to authorize something we took a small break and when I came back the manager greeted me with a smile and Drake again was right there waiting to help me with a smile! My son's Iphone 5C died not even a years worth of cell phone usage. I went into the store literally the day before thanksgiving and was greeted immediately by Jacob Krammer! Which I found out later he was the manager. He was amazing. Provided nothing but extreme out of the way customer service. He looked at every optionto save me a few bucks and to get my problem solved. I have had plenty of unpleasant experiences with Verizon and the stores, so when you have that ONE that goes the extra mile its necessary to that them for taking the time walking us through it and helping us get the best possible deal. call before you go. there are a surprising number of things they can't actually help you with, and the only thing you can do is call 1-800-922-0204. on several occasions, i have dropped by to try to take care of various things, like getting a replacement phone for a (fully insured) lost phone, or later, trying to figure out some large mystery charges on my (already closed) account. both those times, i was told they could not help me, and i would have to call verizon. ...wait-what? but you...are verizon...right? the reason i drove to the store was so that i could talk to a real, live person. but now i am once again doomed to "please-hold" customer service limbo. i don't know. it's probably not their fault. probably corporate policies. but now i know. call first. real, live people are over-rated;) i honestly have no intention of going back there. or ever becoming a verizon customer again. i've switched to Ptel pay-as-you-go, and i paid $3.47 for my first month of coverage for my $80 unlocked smartphone. i use wifi, and don't talk much, so having a verizon plan was a huge waste of money. (admittedly, pay-as-you-go is not suitable for all people; it depends on your usage; some people would end up paying a lot more. but it's perfect for me:) as far as the service itself (apart from the fact that they couldn't help me), i was greeted nicely and told it would just be a minute, i was next in line. and indeed, it was not long. i didn't have time to figure out that new watch-phone thing. but they guy who was assigned to help me seemed a bit distracted, looking around/away a lot. anyways, yeah. call first. read more

I've had the most unpleasant customer service experience at this store, no only for Verizon but of any business ever. I had the misfortune of dealing with Andrew Peña who was very unprefessional and misinformed regarding equipment replacement through warranty and decided to chuckle while i was explainig that Verizon Wireless has replaced a defective phone with another defective unit twice in a row. He said "there are no solutions here". That he was right about. That store has no solutions for anything. The waiting times are long. Absolute worst Verizon I have EVER been to. I've been a customer for over 7 years and I as disgusted with the management and they way they treat people. I ordered an iPhone 6 two months ago, the day it was supposed to be shipped was October 24th, but the store ensured me it would be sooner. It's now mid November and no phone, and no explanation from this store. I went in asking a simple question "why isn't my phone here yet?" They told me they have them in stock on their shelves and continued to ignore me and make me wait for over 40 minutes, letting people who came in after me get help first. My husband recently lost his phone and we were dealing with another nearby location that was willing to give us the same deal as online except their location didn't have the phone we want in stock. So I contacted this location as the online search indicated they have our phone in stock. The employee that answered said yes they have our phone but wouldn't give us the online deal...they wanted $130.00 for our phone that was $00.00 online (and the other location would have comped our purchase if they had them in stock). Verizon offers good cellular service. That's about it. Going to this location is painful. I usually wait about 45 minutes and the resolution is never what it should be. Trouble is the location to customer base. Verizon has a lot of customers and unable to keep up with customer service. I have never been able to go to a location without an enduring wait. Calling in is next to impossible half the time. I usually end up at this location the most because out of all the stores this one seems to operate the best. I wish they had a reservation line or site to book online. Unfortunately, no trip to this store is a short one and this can be hard to plan. The staff sometimes can be short with you, it's not entirely his or her fault, they are too busy to provide the attention needed to customers. The sad thing is most times I go in are because of billing issues. The last two months have been right maybe the issue is resolved. read more

Today around 7pm my mom went to this Verizon location to get a new phone. She has been with Verizon for almost 20 years and never has she had such an awful experience. Jason and Gambino were very rude to her. Jason kept refusing to activate her phone for her claiming they needed her husband's SSN even though she's the account manager. Jason lied and said he activated the phone until we realized he didn't once walking out of the store. We went back inside and confronted him about it and he claimed "it's going to take a few minutes" so we told him we would wait with him until it did. Soon after letting him know we're not leaving he said "well we'll need your social to activate it". So basically he was just trying to get us to leave. We bought another phone just a week before and no one asked for anyone's SSN number. Jason was very unpleasant until my sister intervened and got him to finally activate her phone without the SSN. This location has always had terrible customer service and it's a chore having to deal with these awful people specifically JASON AND GAMBINO. I don't know if they're just lazy or what but if someone is paying for Verizon's overpriced services then one should expect not to have to deal with imbeciles like Jason. read more

If you were lured into switching to Verizon based on a promotion, forget customer service!! Once they have sold you a device and you sign a contract, you will receive little or no support from corporate Verizon staff for any questions and clarifications you have regarding the purchase or promotion. No one you speak to at the corporate store (which I have been to several!) seems motivated to help or research the issue for you. They seem disinterested and want to hurry you out the door. BE AWARE if you purchase any device from a Verizon Authorized Dealer, Verizon corporate stores will not support any offers or promotions which that authorized dealer store has offered you even though VERIZON is on the signage with their name prominently displaced on the outside of the building. They refer you back to the retail store that offered you the promotion. At this store, they kept referring us back to GoWireless where we originally switched carriers based on Black Friday promotions and were not interested in helping resolve the issue. read more

My wife and I have been customers forever and the lack of customer service received at this store was appalling. We went to this store, received nothing but attitude from the associate, Bianca when we were trading our phones in for the $200 credit we were promised by the GM himself. This credit was part of a promo given when we renewed our contract two weeks before, which we completed with the GM. We came back two weeks later to get our iPhones that were out of stock the first time we went in. Instead, she wanted to give us $38 (where that number was from, couldn't be answered from her either) for our trade. After telling her, her own boss promised us the full $200, she said that we were wrong. We asked to speak to someone else, she refused. We confronted another assoiate and told him that she said $38 and he even disagreed with her. We asked to speak to her manager, then magically she came back stated that her manager on duty would override and give us the $200 credit. She was completely unprofessional and rude and it made our experience at this store annoying and horrible. read more

I have always talked positively about Verizon and their service. I seem to always have 4G or full service over people with other providers. However this particular store has horrible customer service. I understand this is a corporation and they need to upsell you... but you should be knowledgeable about your products and customer complaints on products. They are always rude when it comes to something dealing with dissatisfaction and great with people buying something. They will not do ANYTHING for a dissatisfied customer. They literally do not care about thr customer at all. When asked to speak to the manager they say the manager will say the same thing and fight you on speaking to them. That is my right as a customer. And they fight you over stupid things that could easily be taken care of. I was willing to take a hit on money and exchange for something way less expensive and they would not give anything at all. I have had this problem several times over the past few years. The GM is the worst manager Ive ever dealt with. I came in because my brand new phone i just got was defective. I had already been in 4 days before and still was having the same problem. I wanted to change my phone (I had no internet or phone service with my phone. My husband had a different brand and i wanted to go to his sense sitting next to him he had service and internet) and because when i went in the second time, i was past the 14 day period and could no longer change phones. I was upset. So i decided to speak with the manager thinking he could help. He was very rude, unhelpful and in the end he recommended me walking over to the ATT store and switch companies. I have been with verizon for over 10 years and expected better. All he did was say it was due to where i lived and worked is why i had no service but my husband who was with me, next to me mind you, had service when i did not. I left his store after hearing all the things he couldn't do or wouldn't do and called customer support. They sent me a refurbished phone even though i just bought this one 2 weeks prior. I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE LAST NIGHT AT THIS STORE. There is no better place to go to buy a phone, I-pad or equipment. My experience last night is a perfect example. I had been having trouble with email on my phone and email all day - not being able to receive or send messages. I went into the store and even though it was clear that I was not there to buy anything, I was welcomed and felt IMMEDIATE CONCERN with the service people. The outstanding representatives that helped me were CASSIE and SHAUN. My problem was complicated. I had been on my home phone for two hours prior and I could not get connected. Cassie started to work with my phone and try to reset my settings. When it became difficult, she researched some further ways to help me. She did not make me feel pressured or rushed. SHE WAS PATIENT and understood my frustration. She continued to work with the device. She then asked Shaun to help. As a busy real estate agent, when I cannot get email, it is seriously stressful. When Shaun reassured me and said "DO NOT WORRY - WE WILL GET IT FIXED." I felt an immediate calmness and confidence. Shaun knew from his prior experience and expertise, how to reset the password properly and sinc the devices up so I was able to to receive messages again. And, I was so happy THAT HE FIXED MY PROBLEM. Also, it is important to re-emphasize, they knew I was there to buy anything. Shaun and Cassie are to be commended for their KNOWLEDGE, PROFESSIONALISM and WILLLINGNESS to help. If there were a MILLION STAR category, they would get it. This store is truly "AS GOOD AS IT GETS!"
